Husband and I spent the day at the Brandwine River Museum and Longwood Gardens to celebrate the holidays. We decided to head to Elizabeths on our way home. I had been there before with my sister and girl cousins, and had a good "girlish" time, because of the "Elizabeth" theme. We were seated immediately. Ben was our efficient, friendly, attentive waiter. We had a bottle of wine, shared a spinach salad, and ordered two pizzas. It is really more like flatbread style pizza, as the crust is crispier, but it is cooked in a wood fired oven. We had the Elizabeth Taylor, and the Elizabeth Shannon. Both were very tasty, my husband preferred the Taylor because of the sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, and olives. The Shannon had fig jam, with prosciutto, gorgonzola and scallions. It was a little too sweet for his taste. It would have been better with some arugula on top to cut the sweetness, or in season, sliced figs. Very airy and attractive restaurant. Mixed crowd of people, young adults, couples, family groups. A little pricy, but you pay for the decor and the service. Nice place to have dinner at the end of our holiday visit to the area.

Is this place under new management??? Been going since the old location- have not been in awhile and went tonight and was very disappointed- sat on the patio- our server was amazing I think her name was Carol? Literally the only saving grace of the night. The food wasnt what we all remembered- they must of gotten rid of the old head chef or the same head chef has gotten lazy- they messed our order up so It took extra long, pizzas wer covered in grease- disgusting! We all saw different servers running food helping out but didnt see any manager doing anything (usually not the case- use to always see a manger running food and just being present- his name was Steve I think??? Didnt see him tonight) the new owner (or old owner) needs to wake up and realize whats happening to a staple of the area very sad- doubt Il b bringing any family back- if ur debating on spending money on over priced food take my advice- go to another restaurant- pizza by Elizabeths has gone down the drain!!!!!!

Harry and I ate lunch at Pizza by Elizabeth. Harry ordered pizza and I ordered a Caesar Salad. Both were horrible. Harrys pizza tasted like tomato sauce on glorified matzoh. Ugh. My Caesar Salad was vinegary, with otherwise, no taste. I requested anchovies, which the server brought quickly. (The service was friendly and helpful.) The anchovies tasted very much like herring. This was one of the worst Caesar Salads Id had in a very long time. The other customers were beautifully dressed with beautiful shoes. I recommend Pizza by Elizabeth for people-watching. Just dont order what we did, unless you like that kind of thing.

Great for every day. Horrible for an event - and dont trust them with your cake. Julie was our planner. She was incredible. We felt very confident that our event would be as good as the standard service we typically receive on any given day at this place. Things were done incorrectly, the planner was not there, and the waiter and manager reminded us of that and blamed the planner for the issues; they were not accommodating to correct course. The red velvet cake was stale; probably the only piece of cake I have not finished in my lifetime; it was that bad. The rest of the food was great.

Good place to bring family for a brunch or dinner. The food is on the tasty ,but expensive side ( not your typical neighborhood pizza joint) , good bar. The service on the other side is not always stellar. Ladies acting like they doing you favor by giving you a table, and waiters sometimes look like they just ran a 100 miles and have nothing left for you and me. May be , I just came in busy times, but this is just my humble opinion. A simple smile and a friendly conversation can smooth out the long waits and minor hiccups.

I heard very favorable reviews of this place and especially the pizza. Decided to stop in during lunch since I work nearby. Welcoming entrance with elegant decor all throughout. Menu is pricey, but to be expected at a place this elegant. What I didnt expect was a pool of grease in a pizza, smears over the mirrors at the bar, and a housefly buzzing around my drink and food. Note to the owners, when youre paying $16 for a small pizza, it and the atmosphere better be excellent. Dont think Ill be back

Pizza by Elizabeths always has great pizza, and a reasonable selection of beverages. It feels upscale without being ridiculously expensive. It has established itself as our familys go to place for a nice night out and always delivers. It can get busy and walking in at dinnertime you should usually expect a little bit of a wait. The homemade candy they give you with your check is fantastic!

Business lunch for myself and two guests. I often take business associates to this place, because the food is consistently good, and there are options for a variety of palates and dietary restrictions. Normally, the service is also good. This time, the server was in a foul mood, and made that clear to all of us, spoiling the meal. So Ill be choosing another place from now on.

Pizza and wine were excellent with great variety. Decor was very chic and elegant. The prices were moderate but set for fine dining. I went on a Friday evening and the staff were very friendly, however our waiter seemed to be preoccupied by his female admirers and rushed our service. 4 out of 5 only because of the service. Will try again when we feel like dressing up for pizza.

We will return. The ambiance is Hollywood tea room with a jazz quartet. Interesting things to look at everywhere. The only quibble is the large space echo some so it is noisy. The food is very good. I have never had a quiche pizza but I look forward to another. Kids dishes made them happy. Peanut butter jelly and Graham and marshmallow pizza was a hit.

Pizza By Elizabeths is absolutely delicious! Their "Create Your Own" pizzas are my top recommendation for anyone going there for the first time. It is expensive, but man is it worth it! I love that restaurant!!!!! It is great for any age and any taste in food. No matter who you are, youll find something at that restaurant that will be delicious! Woot!

Great varieties and always a fresh "Specials" menu. Pizza is a delicious and unique experience. Land & Sea salad is my favorite and the dressing is ridiculously yummy! PbE seasonal brews are always well done and tasty! Atmosphere is gorgeous. Prices are reasonable and staff is usually pretty attentive. Great job!

Wow! We went there today before going to Winterthur Museum. I had never been there before, but read about it online. What a wonderful surprise! Decor is kooky, but classy and retro. Food was superb, fresh and served with a smile! I highly recommend this place.
