My coworkers and I have been to Chelsea Tavern six times over the past five months for lunch. The first time I went, I really enjoyed their food, but their service was horribly slow. Took over 15 minutes before we could order and over an hour and a half for lunch when all I ordered was a sandwich. Every time Ive gone, the service and food has gotten worse. Last time, I ordered a sandwich, and they forgot the avocado, lettuce, and bacon to put on it! Then the waiter took over 20 minutes (no joke) to get me the missing items. Plus theyve replaced the fried leeks in their french fry medley with fried sweet onions, which when combined with the fried sweet potatoes already in it equals a horribly sweet french fry mix. So, after TWO hours this past time, we finally got to leave after tracking down our waiter who was chatting with the bartender (still took her 10 minutes to run our cards because she somehow hadnt mastered the concept of a customer paying her bill with a credit card -- genius). So, Chelsea Tavern my old friend, you now suck, and I wont be going back. I used to tolerate your $10+ price for a sandwich because it tasted great, but with ludicrously slow wait staff, horrible kitchen choices, and the recent decision to charge $3 for fries with my sandwich, you just got crossed off my lunch list (and that of all my friends and coworkers too). Maybe take a feather from Public Houses hat: just okay food, but fast service and relatively inexpensive items.

How can you ask for a better dining experience? The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. Every employee was delightful and friendly. A large beer and wine selection with just about anything one could want. The kitchen got our items out quick. We ordered the pork belly tacos as an appetizer and they were out in five minutes or less and gone in about 30 seconds! Both entrees were awesome. I had the dirty burger which was phenominal. My wife had the seafood penne which was loaded up with plenty of mussels, shrimp, and crab meat. We used a groupon and it was a really good deal. Had the cheesecake for desserts and although I had no room left in me, I managed to eat my half :)

This place changes the definition of a lot of routine eats. The pastrami Ruben is out of the world. Ruben is a my favorite sandwich and I would never imagine a Ruben without Corned beef and saurkraute. This guys just changed that. The BLT salad is a creation of some of the simplest ingredient, however, that was exclusive. You just cant start talking about the beer, it will take up a thesis paper. Great array!!! Great service. We live right next to it, so we just walk to the restaurant. Its good to get buzzed and just walk home instead of driving. Guys, do visit this place if you live for drinking good beer and eating some exclusive food.

Food is solid, beer selection isnt large but is a good one. The people you meet here are fun. Servers are really good. Theres even a cool weekly "Beer and Bible" on Monday nights that they host. Food recommendations: Im a suckered for burgers thst include eggs, and they have two of those, locally sourced amd delicious. Wings are okay and go fine with some beer. Fish and chips are good. Great spot after a show at the Queen, The Grand, or just to meet with some friends. Enjoy!

My fiancé and I along with our two best friends came for dinner last night, I cant say enough how much we enjoyed ourselves here! The drink and appetizers came quickly and our server Danielle was very attentive to us. All four of us were beyond pleased with our meals and desserts. We highly recommend dining here and plan on returning frequently! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic beer selection and friendly helpful staff. My favorite place when staying in Wilmington. Great casual dimly lit atmosphere that somehow dresses up enough to be an appropriate and cool place to have an off beat business dinnner. Great food from pub style to upscale seafood. If your hungry and brave...take on the Dirty Burger and a Sour Draft beer.

Visited before catching a show at the Queen down the street. Had a reservation and was quickly seated and the server timed our orders perfectly and we made our show in time. The apps were great and a good size. The beer selection is great, both tap and bottles. High energy crowd at the bar and some lively tables around us. Good experience.

Both my wife and I have worked in restaurants and we have high expectations. After sending back two entrees we didnt have the heart to send back a third,we just wanted to go home. The manager discounted our check but didnt bother to come to our table and apologize or offer an explanation. Needless to say we wont be returning.

My wife and I went to Chelsea Tavern for dinner. Our waiter helped me find a beer that I enjoyed very much off of their extensive beer list, and my wife chose a wine that she also enjoyed. The appetizers were fresh and delicious and were the main dishes. We had the flat iron steak with potatoes and grilled asparagus.

Came in late night it was authentic home like. Food was over the top everything ordered was at its best; from pizza to the seafood and pork tacos that we ordered! The bartender was kind, sweet, and well informed of the menu. Would recommend to anyone, who enjoys a well presented drink and a vast beer selection.

I walked in and it was pretty empty except for one large group of 16 having a work thing and I wondered if I had made a bad choice. Once I tasted my dinner it was a resounding YES! Fantastic dish with grilled salmon, asparagus, artichokes and baby potatoes. Highly recommended!

My fan is a huge fan of food challenges so we tried this place out. We decided not to do the challenge and just have a burger and fries. Food is way too greasy and they use some funky sauce on their roles. Trying The Charcoal Pit next time we are in town.

What a GREASY MESS! Met a friend for lunch and ordered the pulled pork sandwich on "pretzel bread" (a bun with salt on it). Practically no pork on the sandwich and loaded with super salty fries. An overpriced sodium-packed meal; what a waste of $15!

I always like it here. An outside seating area that is well tended by staff, excellent beer menu, and interesting good food that sometimes leans in the direction of being healthy, and other items are just plain comfort food.

We had Sunday brunch. Lots of good breakfast choices, and good pub food. Pulled pork sandwich was excellent butt accompanied by lackluster fries. Dining companions all enjoyed their breakfast food. Service was very friendly.

It was overpriced considering that the waitress was young, rude, and messed up our whole order! I didnt even bother to correct her...thats how bad we all just wanted to leave. A Sunday brunch turned 70 dollar nightmare.
