Giant has been a big disappoinment this summer! I have been shopping there since the store has been opened. Always found it to be clean, fresh produce, nice employees. The fresh produce department is always a mess with wilted everything. Seems like fresh market has made staff less interested in cleaning up and keeping the department clean, neat and fresh. The staff there are always talking, joking with each other and NOT doing their job! A couple weeks ago there was no romaine lettuce at all. People will stop coming if thats going to be the norm... And here in strawberry country in the middle of the season, strawberries were still coming from California! How about Florida? The sweet corn was a big disappoinment as well!

All purpose super market. Friendly. Easy parking. Has all the expected chain-store stuff: bakery, butcher, soft drinks, knick knacks like charcoal and spatulas. No booze. Delaware law says all booze has to be sold through a distributor or served open at a restaurant. No problem, there are liquor stores right across the street if thats what you want.

Very clean, Great selection and good service, without sales tax. If they dont carry an item that you are looking for, they will special order it for you. The aisles are often cluttered with stocking carts, however, and the butcher is often unavailable, otherwise would be five star.

The most frustrating place to shop:. aisles clogged by merchandise displays; vendors putting stuff on shelves; bait & switch prices; unhelpful staff; antique shipping charts... And a Solution Center to fix all the problems you encounter at check out.

Its a pretty good grocery store to go get food or toiletries youll need, I think most of the stuff is priced like youd expect at other stories. The deli was nice for any lunch meat or cheese youd need and the employees behind the counter were nice.

I love Giant. But dont get to shop there often because they have no location close to my home. I live in Delaware, half way between Dover and Milford in Frederica. We implore Giant corporate to build off route 1 between Milford and Dover.

Best supermarket in the area for both price and selection. Mostly friendly staff (a few could polish it up a little), and lots of registers that keep lines short. Keep an eye out for out-of-date items, particularly in the dairy section.

Well stocked and friendly (employee told us we could go to bakery for free cookie for 3 yr old). 40 minute wait for deli counter. Very busy, but registers were sufficiently manned for speedy checkout.

This grocery store seemed to have reasonable prices, but the seafood smell was overwhelming and for out of staters note that alcohol cannot be sold in any grocery store in the area.

Cant use your bonus card if out of state. The self checkout wont allow you to use the mute button and it says EVERYTHING that is on the screen. Staff was very nice.

The food selection is very good and the shelves are packed. But it is difficult to park and crowded in the store. The employees are always pleasant and helpful.
