I am married with 2 kids and dont get out to enjoy myself that often but on this particular night hubs and I got a sitter and went out with my bff and her fiancee. She arrived about 10 min before us and was seated when we arrived we had to pay a cover but didnt mind since it literally had been years since I saw a live band and was excited at the bonus to my date night! Our server was friendly and accomodating. Since I dont drink often usually two is enough to make me feel good. After my two drinks the band still didnt go on. We arrived at 8 and it was now 9:15. I asked the server when the band was going on and she said 9:30 and we had a full convo about if they had played there before and if she knew if they were any good. Nonetheless 10pm quickly arrives and no band. It was time to leave, my sitter was only asked to stay till 11 and we live 45 min away. I went to complain to the manager/owner about the misinformation and about paying a cover for a band I didnt get to see. He said everyone knows the bands dont go on until 10:30 at this point I pulled the waitress over since she told us 9:30...she denied ever telling us that! She told us we were "throwing her under the bus". I was completely appalled at her blaintenly lie! I got my cover back and left and was told never to come back. (nice right) In the meantime, my friend had forgotten her ID and money on the table, her fiancee went back immediately and the owner had the cash and ID in his hand but said he cant give it to anyone but her (she wasnt with him). So fine, she goes back to get it and low and behold he says there was no money only the ID which he illegally made a copy of to ensure that she isnt allowed back in. And Shady Katies is the reason why I prefer to sit at home with a glass of wine! I am too old to be dealing with that juvevile BS.

Wow....where to start. I went in there to see the band One Hot Mess. They charged a $10 cover just to crack the door. I go up to the bar and order a beer. I watched as one of the girls behind the bar carefully and methodically took money off of the bar, which was either unattended, or which belonged to patrons which had their backs turned watching the band. When I took her to task over catching her with her hand on my $20 bill, she stated "Oh....Im sorry; I thought that was a tip." For a $4 beer? I dont think so, sweetie. I run into two people I knew on the front deck, so I give the bartender money to buy them a drink. Guess what......no drinks and full denial (First it was "I gave them their drinks," and then it was "I cant give them their drinks until you pay me.") Im guessing petty theft is the name of the game at this place. Finally, I order a Jaeger Bomb. Im expecting a tumbler filled with Red Bull and a shot of Jaegermeister, served separately. What I got was a bathroom Dixie cup with Red Bull and Jaegermeister slopped together. The explanation I got? "Well thats how they make it here." Dont like the place? Dont come in.....and dont try to argue with the staff because youre always wrong, no matter what they stole from you or what was said to you, and their bouncers have no problem enforcing that. While Ive always been chill, Ive seen it happen to others. There are far, far classier places to go where they appreciate you and your hard earned money. The White Horse Pike and Warwick Road corridors in Camden County sure arent where its at......and the flagship of that warning is Shady Katies!

If you are looking for a place like Adelphias, this is not your bar. However- that is exactly the reason why I love this place. Its significantly smaller, and the people there tend to be more tolerable. Casual atmosphere, a mix of live music and a dj, two bar areas so you dont have to wait exessive amounts of time for a drink, and an indoor/outdoor areas. If you want to just hang out and talk, then go to the "outdoor" area (covered and heated in the winter). Want to dance and enjoy live music? Stick to indoors. It may be borderline "glorified dive bar", but I still go looking nice and my friends and I have a great time every time we go. To the poster who was upset that the festivities didnt start until 11 or so, unfortunately that is the nature of the bar scene. If you were looking for a different experience, go to a resteraunt that provides open mic or make sure the baby sitter can stay a little later.

Wish I could give this place one star. It wasnt terrible but for this area and compared to other bars locally - this place is waaay over-priced and totally mediocre. Ive paid less for a draft beer at the airport! Staff has ZERO personality and food even less. Even during an Eagles game the bar was only half filled and with angry people. Its dark, gloomy, and just plain boring. I just despise bartenders that have a laissez-faire attitude for the customers.

Saw South 47 the other night. The Fiddle was week, line dance So so, Who was todd, never saw him before, he needs practice. Who is this dude Harry Woo Woo what a load. Man at bar said that Dude Harry was in a band but was a trouble maker,GONE. I guess Yuall, my review could have been better if I didnt have such week Gin & Tonics. What a joke....seems like it could be a cool place but the staff and outrageous drink prices kill the whole experience. 12 dollars for 2 shots, and that was for the band members who were there entertaining their crowd, bringing in the crowd more or less so they can sell plenty of booze. This place is a waste of time!

Its is a clean and nice place wonderful staff very friendly and happy the drink and food prices are right on point and the bands they get are average to great keep in mind they get local acts not bands that hace sold multi platnium albu s love this bar and will go back every chance I can

The bar is great, the staff is awful. They fail to fill shot glasses up, and blame it on you. Paid a ten dollar cover to hear a local band, and service was so bad that i couldnt stomach the band. Never Again! Pretty sure Id rather shower with my uncle than spend another dollar here again.

It appeared to be a very nice place but the staff completely sucked...They ruined my birthday gathering ,the waitress was easily frustrated having to serve 10 people. This place completely blows!! I wouldnt even waist my time trying it out...so many other great places in the area

I like the new owners here the food is good and the staff is friendly. The owner comes around and talks to people all the time. Decent beer list, wings and sandwiches. I hope it sticks around and stays decent.

814 South is terrible!!! The owner is ignorant and disrespectful and acted as such in front of a bar full of people!!! I will never go to this place or recommend it to anyone!!!
