WOW! DONT EVER ORDER TAKE OUT FROM THIS LOCATION.If you do decide to order take out after reading this review or a couple of others below, make sure you check your bag BEFORE YOU PAY OR LEAVE THE LOCATION. Here was my recent experience, I recently placed a take out ordered on a summer evening around 5:30pm... no big deal a couple of burgers and some sides including french fries. When I arrived to pick up my food, there was absolutely no one in the place so it was not an issue of them being too busy to get my order correct. My food was in a bag sealed up with a Jakes sticker and my receipt attached so I did not check inside the bag. I foolishly assumed that the 3 people working at the time would get my order correct. When I arrived home with the food, a large french fry I ordered was not in the bag. I called the restaurant and explained that I did not get the french fries that I had paid for but they insisted that they had packed the fries in the bag with the rest of the food. I told them they did not and I would return to pick them up. When I arrived they DID NOT have french fries waiting for me and instead continued to maintain that they had given me the fries in the bag. It is at this point that I began to get upset, incensed that they would accuse me of trying to scam them out of french fries that I had paid for. I ended up arguing with the jerk behind the counter for a few minutes as he assured me he was the one who packed my order and insisted that the french fries were in the bag. I asked for the manager at the location and it turns out the jerk I was arguing with was the manager. He proceeded to call me a liar and tell me that "I should show him more respect". I assured him that I would not be leaving without the french fries I paid for. He continued with the worst attitude I have ever seen for someone working directly with customers, even mocking me at one point (this last straw almost got the guy pulled across the counter and punched in the face!) If I were the owner of this location, the "manager" would be IMMEDIATELY FIRED!!! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION AGAIN!! If you have a craving for burgers in Newark, DO NOT GO HERE, I recommend Red Robin or the Jakes on Ogletown Road, they pay alot more attention to getting things right and customer service.

2 stars for poor service. Have ordered 3 times through grubhub. 2 out of the 3 times it took over 90 minutes to receive the order, and the last time it took 2 hours. According to the store, the delivery driver didnt show up for work so they had to call one in. Milkshakes completely melted. Only redeeming thing is the food itself. Best to just pick it up at the store til they figure out a decent delivery system.

Store hours are post here and on the door as closing at 9pm 6/7 days. I regularly show up during the 8 oclock hour and find theyve decided to close early on a whim, after Ive gone out of my way to avoid McDonalds and come here. Theyve easily list $50 worth of my business lately. Guess they dont like making money. (Its 8:15 now, and two people have tried to go in as Im writing this).

Super clean. Great good. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The drink station is always neat and stocked and there is plenty of seating. You always have the option of sitting down to eat or just to wait for your food. The only con I would point out is the service is just a little bit slow. But overall great spot!

Went for a school fund raising event. Burgers were Okay. Ordered a milk shake and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to run to the grocery store for milk. How do you run out of milk? By the time we got the shake we were done eating and. My son drank water until he finally got his shake.

For a good chicken burger its the place to go, Thursdays are dollar hot dog days, but the burgers are not very good. Its more of a chain thing rather than a location thing so as long as you get something else you are going to be fine.

The food is pretty good. Solid, not outstanding, burger. Fries are fine. Also I hate that they close so early at 9 pm. I would go a lot more if open till 10. I still much prefer 5 guys. The location is great.

I ordered a oreo mud pie shake. The associate said they were out of oreos and if I really wanted that shake, he could run out and get some. I would have never expected service like that from a burger place.

As another reviewer said, they shut things down before the store hours indicate they should be closed. If youre going to go, make sure its at least an hour before their posted closing time.

Ordered a burger "our way"(ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce, pickles, and onions. What I got was a cheeseburger. They fixed it but... The food was descent tho.
