I visited this restaurant because my work was organizing a corporate meal for some clients. True, there was a 45 minute presentation that had to be sat through, but call me what you want, just dont call me late for dinner! I was one of the first ones there, and the projector screen and table was already all set up. The entire set up was very pretty, as were the placements on the table. We had a dedicated waitress with her own helpers and so the service was amazingly quick, responsive and unfailingly friendly for such a large group. The menu was interesting and varied, with someone for everyone. They put together I very nice appetizer platter to share as well. The calamari and chicken skewers were winners for sure. Most of the people at the event opted to go for the restaurants many pescetarian/seafood dishes. All of the fish was raved about by all, and there was also someone who had a delicious looking pasta dish that came chock full of seafood and red sauce. I didnt stick around for dessert, but from what I saw on the menu it was pretty typical fare for an Italian restaurant... Or most New England restaurants for that matter. I was very impressed with this restaurant and would definitely go again if in the area. Would be nice to go when not at a corporate event as well, but they did an excellent job either way.

The reason to go here is the atmosphere ...simply beautiful. Original tile floor, original tin ceiling, and original woodwork throughout main dining area...like stepping back in time. The food is excellent and so is the service. Ive been here numerous times and Im giving it 4 starts because I really think at these prices they should at least be offering some organic items like the salads and perhaps organic pastas and organic chicken. The deserts are a bit steep, $9.00 for a piece of cheese cake that is not really cheese cake. Its the first time Ive tried the desert and wont be trying it again ...very disappointed. Overall pricy but for very consistently excellent food.

As always, my special orders come out delicious! My only complaint about my lunch sandwich (grilled onions, peppers, zucchini and garlic on grilled ciabatta, no mayo, add marinara) was not the deliciously healthy and smokey veggie sandwich, but the "sprinkling" of fries to accompany it. I was hoping for a moderate to generous portion for the price, but was left with what was more of a garnish than a side of fries. My ONLY complaint is if I could have a little more of the fried potatoes...they are so good and I was sad to see them gone so fast...

This place should be out of business. Carpaccio came with about 10 leaves of greens. Hey guys, thats the cheap stuff. "Pan seared scallops" never came close to a frying pan. Five small scallops that looked like they were boiled sitting on rice with wallpaper paste called "risotto". Service was a complete joke. We got our dinner while we were still eating our appetizers. My wife got three small shrimp & two scallops in her seafood plate which was mostly white beans. $160 bucks with a bottle of crap wine. Youll never see me again.

If you like big meals, decent prices, friendly and welcoming staff, fast service, and your typical American dining fare ... then this is the place for you! If you hate crowds, having to wait, and need to hear every single word you and your party are saying during a meal ... then maybe try something down the road. Friends have...

Overrated and expensive There was just one waitress working, poor woman was working the bar, the phones and all the tables. Bruschetta with balsamic was overly sweet, couldnt taste the basil or the fresh chopped tomatoes. Linguine with clams was mediocre, no flavor. Took several attempts to place the main entrees.

Easy off and on ramp from route 84 in CT traveling west. My bartender Karen was amazing and the fusion martini was phenomal. She made our dining experience at the bar the best. Bruschetta was great...but the best part was definitely the service. Oh I almost forgot Emily was so pleasant in her greeting, she made me feel so welcome. Great staff!

I make a point to eat here when I am in Waterbury. The best grinders and Italian specialties in the area. Easy access from Rte 84. I always get the Italian combo with the works. A half sandwich is a meal. They also have their own label soda that is very good.

I ate lunch there recently and everything was amazing. I had a scallop risotto and it was perfect. Our waiter was funny and handled our very large crowd professionally. I will go back again soon.

The decor is a bit dated, but the traditional Italian dishes are very well made. We tried the lasagna and the homemade gemelli pasta with pesto - both excellent. Finished with a topnotch tiramisu.

“Generous portions and quality deli fillings.” My husband ordered subs for a fishing trip and was very satisfied with the quality of the meats and cheeses and the generous portion of the subs.

Delicious food with attention to food/taste detail. Atmosphere is intimate and cozy. Service is fantastic as it should be in a restaurant priced at this level. Great wine list, too!

The shrimp was way to large and overcooked. The meal was too bland for my taste. However the hazelnut gelato was Devine. Way to pricey for taste.
