Used to be a waitress there for the original phenomenal owners and once they switched over it went down hill really fast. New owner is udderly rude and crass to his staff. One of the most rude and honestly unintelligent people I have ever met. Regardless of how he treats his staff, the food has changed and for the worse. Fresh fried mozzeralla sticks became square like bricks and pizza dough became soggy. Im very disappointed and sad to see a restaurant with such class go down the tubes because of terrible management and owners. They are healthfully not up to standards as they smoke in the back of the restaurant, INSIDE, and yell at the waitresses because they forgot to shut the ice bin when they were running to serve a table. Hypocrites as they are they not only chose to talk down but straight up yell and disrespect their workers infront of customers so bad that In my personal experience a customer had to come up and defend me. Customers recognize when waitresses work hard and go up to tell the owner and he pays no mind to them at all, not only rude and degrading to the customer but to his staff as well. Unfortunelately he has chosen to keep the name of the restaurant because of the wonderful past ratings on google and yelp but I hope many will see this is no longer the place to go out to eat knowing that the food has changed and how terrible he treats his help and customers.

I am extremely disappointed in tonights service. I had ordered a seafood dish and found it to be foul smelling and very bitter to the taste so I had the waitress take it back. At the end of dinner with my family I had noticed my plate was still fully charged, which paying at least half would have been fair. The owner refused to discount the plate and offered dessert to take home. Which is not even an ethical solution in my book. My daughters small cheese pizza by the way tasted the same as the one from Chuck e cheese. Also my husband had gotten a refill on his water and I never was offered a refill, which could have easily been an honest mistake. Sad to say Ill never go there again...used to be a favorite spot.

Great Pizza! If youre looking for a spot with a little bit thicker crust style pizza that doesnt skimp out on the cheese and toppings, this is the place... Weve ordered take-out pizza here several times and have been loving it over the last couple years (our fav is the Red Onion Special... good amount of sausage, hamburg, pepperoni, peppers, onions, mushrooms!)... cant give them 5 stars because the few times weve tried some of their entrees, it just wasnt what we were hoping for...

I have one major complaint about this restaurant: its not closer to home. GREAT pizza, great desserts, awesome garlic bread, and plenty of other fabulous foods to choose from. The staff is always friendly, and the restaurant has an outstanding ambiance -- particularly around the holidays. If youre looking for a family-friendly restaurant that serves up great, gooey pizza thats plentiful on the toppings, visit South Windsors Red Onion.

The food is pretty good. I ordered 12 grinders an hour and forty-five minutes ahead of time and told them exactly what time I needed them done and packaged by. I waited for 15 minutes before they were ready. I suggest telling them you needed it 15 minutes before you actually do to ensure that you get them on time. This is not the first time its happened either.

Clams Casino Pizza Found. The portions of clams, bacon, tomatoes and cheese were great. The zone in between the well baked toppings and the bottom of the crust were soggy. The small amount of added sauce to this type pizza tasted a bit like ketchup. Very friendly service. Great beer selection. Kitchen turned out the pie quickly. Super clean dining room.

Okay this is a family Italian/Greek pizza place. Nothing fancy but if you want fresh food and absolutely huge portions....I mean huge then this is the place. The chef salad is the best I have ever had and the grinders are as big as the Golden Gate Bridge. Order a dinner and dont think that you can finish it.

Our first visit to the Red Onion with visiting family who found it on the internet with good reviews. Large portions, fair prices and good service. Our party had the shrimp scampi; lasagna; broiled filet of sole; and cheeseburger wrap. Everything was delicious. Well be back.

This is one of my favorite places for pizza. They dont skimp on toppings. The prices are also family friendly. The service is great and it has great acoustics so you dont have to scream to be heard at the table. I highly recommend Red Onion.

We have a small group that meets every 2 weeks, they treat us like kings. Not cheap but there is always lunch leftovers for the next day. This makes it a good value...
