I honestly think the majority of the reviews here are lying. I went on 6/24/17 it was a Saturday about 6pm. Yes, there was a line out the door, but it moved quickly I only spent about 20-25 mins in line, really not that bad. Once we paid we were seated about a minute after (Now as you can see I rated 4/5 there was one problem and no it wasnt the food, but ill explain later). The food was actually really got I started with some basic stuff mac and cheese mashed potatoes and fried chicken. The mac&cheese tasted like stouffers and the potatoes and chicken were on par with KFC (if not a little better) Then I got some Steak, it was cooked just the way I like and Juicy as heck and the rolls were great. The fruit tasted fresh and was also juicy. The one food item I didnt care for was the chocolate fountain, it didnt taste very good and they didnt have enough stuff to dip in it. Now, on to why I took away one star, first I find it odd, that they charge you for your drinks separately from the meal. Why? do people come in and are like "nah im just gonna eat, and not drink" it just seems off. Since ive never been there before my GF and I wanted to get our drinks (not knowing we had to wait for our server to bring them to us) now the soda fountain is right next to the food, so when we went over there we got scolded at and told our server was supposed to bring them to us. Yeah thats my bad I didnt know, but why put them right next to the food and not have a sign or anything? I understand it busy there and eventually our server got to us and apologized for being long, which is okay I understand how crazy it is there, with a line out the door all the time. I just think they need to do something about the drink situation. In conclusion. It was worth the wait, good price, good food. just dont try to get your own drinks

Just went there on Saturday 6/17/17 with my 2 teenage sons. Weve waited a few months before deciding to eat there due to the long lines. We thought that the food must be awesome because of the long lines but after eating there the lines are definitely due to curiosity. Well our experience upon entering was that it looked exactly like the Hometown Buffet when it was there with a Smokehouse station awkwardly in the middle of it, other then that and the GC signs, its the same old Hometown Buffet. In comparison to Florida and VA Golden Corrals its waaaaay to small and the food selection was lacking. The tastes and promptness of the food were also lacking. Hometown Buffet was actually better tasting then this and this place doesnt taste anything like the ones down south. We had to actually get up and get our own drinks several times. We were there for almost 2 hours and never saw another batch of fried chicken come out. Their Smokehouse saved the day as far as taste but dont put anything on your plate from the lackluster buffet stations before getting in the Smokehouse line or else your food will go back to its frozen state before they cooked it. The dessert station was a joke. No peach cobbler for over an hour, bread pudding only had the ends stuck to the tray left, an entire clan of kids were waiting impatiently for a slice of pie or cheesecake that they refuse to put out for people to take. The place is set up completely wrong and we will not be going back. Ill stick to the Chinese Buffet in the mall or the one up the street behind Jake Waybacks as their food is 10 times better. Golden Coral needs to be ashamed of themselves and sadly will disappear after a while just like Krispy Kremes did a few years back! SMH

Once more from Milford CT Disappointing once again. Every piece of meat is either breaded, have breading in it, deep fried covered in gravy or sugar glazed. Since when does eating American food have to be unhealthy. Americans are way more than breading, deep fried, gravy or sugar! Eating healthy as an American shouldnt reduce us down to a salad bar of cold foods! So if you have a gluten problems a diabetic(as myself) or simply health conscious you are out of luck. Of course there might be a chance of fish but if you dont like fish then again you are out of luck! Worst is theres a no refund police. So you come in hungry, you pay you stay hungry and leave hungry eating maybe a strawberry which you just ended up paying 12.99 for. The food at Milford CT is awful. I have been to several corrals down south for lunch and always remember having steaks available. When I informed the staff that there was nothing without sugar or breading added and asked why the steaks were not being cooks they said It be 2hrs. Please tell me who is going to sit for 2hrs to wait for a damn steak. And another thing when are then going to fix the water temp so our CT kids dont have to risk burning their hands on the sink to the right in the womens bathroom. Sorry Golden corral but at this rate youre not going to remain open up here. We were better off going to the hibachi Grill & supreme buffet down the street. Honest they are your biggest competition. They serve "American food" at that chinese restaurant far better than Milfords Golden Corral

I took my family to this place on a weekday. I was very disappointed. The cook needs a cooking class.. the staff that replenishes the food needs to rotate fresh food instead of leaving the old food sitting. Unless theres more overcooked food in the kitchen waiting to come out... Their famous biscuits were hard how do you do that?.... This place should be called sizzlers .....its that bad. The owner and the manager is not managing how do you try to sell hard over cooked food to customers. This place should be embarrassed to call itself golden corral. The steak section by far was the best thing and the fruit. Even the fountain soda machines tasted funny like the filter needed to be cleaned thoroughly. For the money you spend $50 or more its not worth it. This place has no southern character about good cooked food.. everything was over cooked dried out and AND HARD instead of removing it they still tried to sell it. Your better off anywhere else even any all you can eat place is better than this one. I gave it 2 stars because of the steak it was worth it and the servers were good. Too bad the manager or the owner doesnt realize that servers get bad tips if the food is terrible and it not their fault.. so I gave them 2 stars if it wasnt for the steak and the waiters they would have had a 1 star instead. This place has no sense of pride and team. The owner should be embarassed.

My wife and I decided to visit this new location despite the poor reviews we saw. It turns out the reviews were accurate. Among the many issues: - Terrible food selection. The Springfield, MA location has many more options. - The food they did have was not very good. I know its a buffet, but tortilla chips should never be chewy. Literally chewy. - It took 10 minutes for a waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink, and the refills were slow in coming. We were there on May 31 (a Wednesday), at it was mid afternoon. They were not that busy, so the slow service wasnt due to that. - I watched an employee refill the clam chowder and splash some on the steam table. Instead of wiping it off, he scooped it up with his gloved hand and threw it into the pot. - A tray of lemon wedges was sitting unrefrigerated by the soda machines when we got there, and was still there when we left. - The bucket where they keep the table rags was on the floor, underneath a hanging broom and dustpan. - There was a police officer standing inside the exit door the entire time we were there. Doesnt really make you feel like youre in the greatest area. If we ever go back to Golden Corral, it will be to the Springfield, MA location. Its twice as far away, but well over twice as good as the Milford, CT location.
