Well, the food here is not bad, which is why I rated it two stars...but its not GREAT, so if I have okay food + bad service,that equals to....me not wanting to come back here!! I will never forget my waitress, Ruth. That lady was RUTHless!! She made a mistake when taking my order, didnt mention that there was two types of iced teas. So she brought me what she thought was best...then I asked her "Dont you have sweetened iced tea?" AND SHE WENT FROM 0-100 REAL QUICK. Uhm..seriously? She gave me attitude all night over a drink?!! A drink order that SHE made a mistake in?? THIS PLACE CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE RUDE WORKERS, IT MAKES PEOPLE NOT WANT TO SPEND THEIR MONEY THERE.I GET TREATED BETTER AT BURGER KING YO lol

I do live in Boston, Massachusetts. Continually I am visiting Danbury, for I have got many friends at this very city, and also I have some personal business. To visit the New Holiday Diner is a huge and pleasure which I have not found it yet in the city of Boston!! Wonderful attention, a very prepared and trained staff, a good and comfortable place, and besides all, a very good food! Congrats to the owners! And please, do not change your quality and excellence! You are and have been amazing!

Needed a diner for 10 family members on a wedding weekend day. Called ahead and learned this place would set up for us before we even got there. Sure enough, seating for 10 with menus in place when we arrived. One great waiter served us all. Breakfasts all around were great; fresh ingredients, well prepared and the coffee and fresh OJ were the best. We lingered awhile in the cool diner space because outside it was on its way to being a 98 degree humid day. The wedding would be outside!

Ive been coming here with my mom since I was a toddler (Im now 31) and no other diner comes close in quality of food or friendly service. Ruth is my favorite waitress but thats not to say that there are *any* bad servers. The new owner George is just great & I loved Ishmael before him & Nick before him always won me stuffed animals from the claw machine when I was young. I wont bother ordering cheese fries and gravy anywhere else. This place is simply amazing.

This is one of Danburys best spots to grab a great meal! George meets and greets all...and makes every customer feel special. The prices are competitive and the portions above-average for the money. You wont find a better Chef Salad in the USA! The wait staff are all friendly and attentive. George and his fantastic crew will make you glad you stopped in...and your experience will have you returning time and again.

Was unsatisfied with the service that I got at the diner. I paid my tab and my tip and the manager of the restaurant yelled at me in front of customers saying I was high and I told him in the beginning I just came off for working at Stop & Shop were going to 10 hour day and wanted to grab something to eat and go to sleep. He told me to never come back there again. Never felt so embarrassed.

Nice little diner with plenty of options to choose from including their Buffalo Chicken Wrap which I personally recommend. Be warned though - entrees are very large. Service is very prompt and friendly and the atmosphere is warm. This is a fun littlelace to go if youre looking for good food and a warm friendly atmosphere.

My family and I love the new holiday diner!! The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The service is always great, my daughter calls it the family diner. I would recommend this place if your looking for a nice diner where they treat you like family and the food is great

The food is great, and the people are even better. Everyone is always friendly, and excellent service is their top priority. As a bonus, the recent renovations really transformed the place, and they even added plugs at the booths and free WiFi.

Loved the diner, picked it out from the reviews on here and were glad that we stopped in. The stuffing was amazing from the turkey dinner as well the chicken melt. Highly recommend this spot for the food and the excellent service!

In town for a wedding and found the perfect breakfast spot with great waitstaff and awesome food. You have to try their Irish eggs Benedict. Not too many diners still make a good Corned beef hash.
