As a person who appreciates and eats this food regularly in NYC. This was the worst ever. I received fried chicken that was dry and disgusting!! The Chicken Stew had NO flavor or spice. A diner would have better brown sauce. The Mac & Cheese homemade really?? A box of Kraft Mac & Cheese with salt n pepper would have tasted better. They boast flavor, seasoning and homemade. nothing close to being authentic. A total disappointment. I call and get an oh well attitude. There response yeah the chicken could have been dry as it was sitting on the table awhile. Really ? So you served it why? Across the board major fail.

I ordered the lunch special two piece chicken with fried for what I thought was a good lunch special . The food was greasy and the fries were extremely salty. The woman attending me acted like she didnt want to take my order because I was only spending $5.00. Overall there service is poor and there menu prices are to high compare to other Jamaican restaurants, I understand were in Danbury however there too expensive for average food. Try this place at your own risk, would not recommend,sorry its a waste of money.

Disgusting, dont believe these people. Only people who arent Jamaicans would rave about this place but believe me this place is trash. And very very very expensive, unbelievable. Why are these people so dishonest, no seriously! Trust me, dont, dont do it to yourself! The lady didnt even want to give me a receipt, seriously! This is why I dont like dealing with Jamaicans!

The food was horrible. Its was like eating salt with white rice, only people who are not Jamaican would rave about this place. There is nothing good to say about the food. The service was not very good, credit card machine did not work, I had to wait for the owner to come from home to work the card machine. Worst Jamaican food ever.

Went to this restaurant for lunch one time and had jerked chicken and a beef patty, and let me say that the food really hit the spot. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the beef patty, though not terribly good for you, was out of this world. The restaurants vicinity to WCSU is a big plus as well.

I have grown up with this cuisine. Though it has been tailored for the surrounding clientel, it has not lost its authenticity. Hats off to Effie and Dena. Hats off to their cooking and their service. Try it and you will see and taste it.
