New to the area and happy there is a great chinese take out restaurant nearby. Not many places serve Mongolian Beef which is currently my go to meal when I order take out. Other items I have had were also quite good. I must add though that the signage could be better. It is located in an obscure mini mall that is easily missed. The store itself is not brightly lit and therefore may not seem too inviting to the casual passerby which is unfortunate because they are pretty good. Thankfully the mini-malls parking lot was repaved recently. It was pretty run down when I first found it. The restaurant is clean and tidy though but is strictly take out as there are only 3 small tables if you choose to eat in. I once showed up minutes before closing on a sleepy and perhaps slow weeknight. I saw the staff cleaning the kitchen as they were preparing to close. They took my order though and cooked me a delicious dinner even though they were ready to leave. I really appreciated that! The cashiers have always been friendly and the pricing is what you would expect so the value for me is very high as judged by my formula of price to quality to portions.

There are a lot of Chinese Food spots in the Danbury / Brookfield area and this one is really the best. The ingredients and vegetables they use are always fresh and you dont get that greasy after taste that is common with Chinese Food. As other reviewers mentioned, you dont feel sick after eating it and the prices are the lowest around. You get a ton of food with their lunch specials for just a few bucks. Dont waste your time or money with other Chinese Food joints, Moon Star is all you need!

Maybe it was just one bad day for this place but the chicken was chewy; the sauce flavorings werent great - not horrible - but not as good as Main Moon just down the road heading towards 4corners... not as good as most Chinese takeout places actually. The spring rolls with cheese were good - but not my thing. Ill be sticking with Main Moon - their spring rolls are delicious and their wontons - yum!

I have never been a fan of Chinese food and we have tried every imaginable Chinese restaurant within 20 miles of our house and came up short. Moon Star on the other hand has produced consistently excellent and very reasonably priced food every time me tried it. We drive all the way from Brookfield, CT to pick it up and its well worth it.

We live in the next town up with some not so good Chinese food options, moon star is definitely worth the 10 min drive! Their pork fried rice actually had big chunks of pork that you could see and taste, their shrimp were the perfect size and their Lo mein was so good! Will be coming here for our Chinese food from now on!

From the first time I walked in, the folks at Moon Star have consistently provided excellent service and the quality of their take-out has never wavered. I highly recommend their menu and if you are in the area during lunch, try a special as an easy sampling. Oh, and say Nǐ hǎo as you walk in. Youll widen a few smiles.

This is my favorite chinese food place in Brookfield. Any time I want chinese I go here. I love the sesame seed chicken and it comes with rice, super bonus. I called 20 minutes before closing, they were still sweet and prepared my order in 10 minutes with no issues. Very kind people :)

The best Chinese food Ive had. Anywhere else I go always falls short compared to here. Main moon down the road makes me feel sick after and this place never does. By far the best!!

Good quality take-out. Very consistent food throughout several years. General Tsos is the best takeout in the area. There are a few tables, but not a restaurant.
