This place was nicer than I expected actually. You can sit inside but outside is better. The place is surrounded by flowers. I guess they were sunflowers just not yellow. They were more like purple/ pink. I got a kick out of watching the bees up close doing there thing while eating. If you are afraid of bees though like I said you can go inside or just move to another table. Just depends on where the bees are at the moment. The bees werent really bothersome to me though. The food was good. I usually take a doggy bag but here for some reason I finished the plate & was trying to eat more (Yeah I finished off the tortilla chips too) & Im a slim person. The waitress was friendly. The waiter (a guy) though was a little bit rude when my girlfriend wanted to move to another table (he complained that bees were everywhere) cause she was afraid of the bees. That was nothing though. Definitely check it out & just avoid the male waiter...

I do a lot of traveling to West Texas and New Mexico and have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants. When I return home I usually go to our local Mexican restaurant to compare and I am usually disappointed with the food. This past weekend I returned from one of my trips and was greatly surprised by Taco Loco. I was at a party which was catered by the Taco Loco Party Truck. Grant you, the food was all tacos, but they were very favorable. The taste of the tacos were due to the marinade and spices they use on the meats. In addition, the tortillas were very fresh. The sides consisted of Spanish rice, refried beans and a avocado salad. All sides were very good. I am not sure how the rest of the menu is, but I am willing to take a road trip to Bridgeport to find out.

I had not been here in about 6 years because our last meal here was underwhelming to say the least. I was on Google tonight and saw it had gotten some great reviews so we decided to try it again. It was probably the worst meal I have ever had anywhere. It makes me think these great reviews are fake. I wish I could have gotten my money back . The food was tasteless, the guacamole was not fresh but from a package like you can buy at the grocery store, the tortilla soup was like water with chunks of chicken and squash? , never had that before...the tacos were just salty chunks of chicken with no flavor at all Literally all around the worst food ever save your money .

Ive been going to Taco Loco for a while now. I always have a good experience. The atmospheres really good, and the drinks are great. I love the food. The service can be a little slow, but Im usually there for a while because Im with friends so it doesnt matter. The salsa is different, because I guess Im used to having cold salsa, and their salsa is warm. It was strange at first, but it tastes good and it grew on me. I really do enjoy this place. I almost always get either the taco salad or the Arroz con Pollo, because those are my favs. Give this place a chance, seriously. :)

Yeah, no... Pretty much widely accepted around here that its the place not to go for Mexican. I wish this was not the case since its so close and I love Mexican. Ive given the place too many chances but they never fail to disappoint. Theyve been there long enough to know theyre rep, but choose simply not to improve the quality of their food, rather theyve resorted to using fake reviews to lure people in. This is the only way they would get their current rating as a top local restaurant. Kind of a shame. Heres a simple solution- improve your food!!

this is by far the worst mexican food place i have ever been too. first of service was lacking, we waited 10 minutes in an empty restaurant until we decided to seat ourselves, the food just plain out is pathetic, your steak burrito is the worst i got 6 pieces of small steak wrapped in a large tortilla, thats it, the beans were straight out of a can and the rice was hard. cmon really, sad i cant believe your still in business. not reccommended and i will never go there again. stay away, STAY AWAY!!!!

I was @ A-1 Toyota today and they had this truck so I decided to try a taco. After the first bite,I said WOW how can a taco taste so good.? Most tacos in CT. are bland because they are part of a restaurant chain .The only great tacos I had were in Texas and California.Well this truck tops them. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. One vegetable does not overwhelm the others. They found the perfect blend. Also we cannot forget the crew that prepared the meal. They were friendly and kind.

We love Taco Loco! The staff is amazing and many of them have known our family for years. Our children have practically grown up there. They also have absolutely the best Mojito Ive ever had north of Key West! Additionally, this is one of the few (maybe only) Mexican restaurants in the area that is really vegetarian-friendly. There are many vegetarian options on the menu and the staff will recommend other options, combinations, or sometimes we even go off-menu a bit.

The service was good. The food was not so good. I had mahi mahi tacos with cilantro "sauce". The fish was overcooked and there was no cilantro anything on the taco - and little of anything else. The chips were stale and the salsa was bland - tomato puree with fresh cilantro sprinkled on top. Margaritas were fair. No "kick" to anything here so I was surprised the outdoor terrace was busy. An off-night for them???

Ive gone to Taco Loco about 4 times. Im not the biggest mexican food fan to begin with...but I just find their food...pretty good. Nothing ive ordered has blown me away, but it certainly wasnt bad. I would rate it between 3 and 4 stars out of 5 if I could. The prices I think are a smear too high, but not rediculous. The wait staff is very friendly in my experiences, and they bring you the food quick.

Love coming here for the appetizers and happy hour. you get half price off on delish appies - buffalo wings and chicken tostadas. they do serve more than just margaritas and appies but i usually dont come for that. the restaurant is not great, but just alright to hang out. plus, it doesnt hurt that the owner and waiters are super nice :) prices are fair and food comes out fast.

Its very hard to find a GOOD Mexican restaurant in CT. THIS PLACE IS TO DIE FOR!! The food is ALL fresh and not made from preserved and you could really taste how homemade each meal is prepared. This place takes its time to make sure food comes out hot and fresh . If you have not given this place a try, you should definitely add it to your bucket list ! Happy new years

My family, My best friend, and I are obsessed with Taco Loco. Its DIFFICULT to find an authentic Mexican restaurant with delicious food. I love their churros, sopa de maniocs, tacos Americanos, steak quesadilla, the list goes on! But most importantly the food is fresh, the employees are friendly and the restaurant is clean! great place to take a date.
