Simply put - this a good place for a good steak. They know how to please, how to provide good value, and generally it is a very pleasant experience. Last week our waitress made a point to ask everyone at the next table their first names. She went around the table, and it was obvious that the four adults were uncomfortable, didnt understand what she wanted at first, and not used to the tactic. The waitress was undaunted and called them by first names. When she pulled the same stunt at our table and we were asked for our first names, I am retired, and probably 40 years her senior, and I said "Mister". Unphased she began using my wifes first name and called me "Mister" (no last name). I suspect that she thought it cute and "her unique waitressing style"… it would be fine in a neighborhood block party, but I want a polite and thoughtful server who takes care of me… hearing her call people, she doesnt know, by their first names is an unwelcome stunt and took away from the dining experience.

We probably wont be dining here again. Ordered red wine and they were out so they brought me white. Ordered the fried mushrooms, which were delicious but come with almost no sauce. Our server didnt come back to check on us for 20 minutes so by the time we got more ranch they were cold. My filet minion was ordered medium and it came out medium well but our server wouldnt know because she never once checked on us. After about 30 minutes we had to flag her down to get our check. It was too late at that point to get a new steak so I just took it home for my dogs. After we finally got our check she again never came back to run our credit card. We had to wave down a manager to run it because we had done nothing but wait on our waitress and we were done waiting. Its one thing to wait and have an enjoyable meal but this was anything but that.

VERY uneven food at this restaurant tonight. Wedge salad was made from a head of lettuce that was white and bitter. Inedible. Porterhouse steak was beautiful, cooked just right, but prime rib was cold, and I do not mean slightly warm. It was COLD. Chicken fried steak was large, and my son enjoyed it. Chopped steak was by far the smallest serving at our table, tinier than a prepared hamburger patty, with about one half a spoonful of mashed potatoes on the side. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, and will not be going back again. I must mention that our server was excellent, and comped the wedge salad, but couldnt make up for a total letdown by the kitchen.

I wont eat here again. The steaks are somewhat pricey, but completely hit-or-miss. I once ordered medium-rare and the steak came out almost raw and cold. The ones I had that werent terrible didnt wow me. Tonight I got a burger that I ate about three bites of but stopped because it just wasnt good. They might have had it under the heat lamps for too long. I didnt complain but they figured it out and took it off the check—that was nice. They do have good service, but it takes forever to get your food. I should note: Im not the target customer. I dont like the design, I dont like the music, the restaurant is too loud, Im always cold when I go there.

On 2/14/2014 (Valentines Day) we enjoyed a wonderful meal and excellent service that can not be beat. We both enjoyed a delicious appetizer, and enjoyed the best 6 oz filet mignon that we have had in a very long time. Alex was our waiter, and provided us with great service that provided a great experience at Saltgrass. We have enjoyed this restaurant since it opened and it has always provided the best. The prices may be a little higher than normal, but you pay for quality, and I assure you that we have always enjoyed quality. Thank you Alex, Saltgrass, and all of the other employees that made our Valentines a very enjoyable evening.

Very disappointing meal. We went for our sons 12th birthday, he love steak. The salads are mediocre, iceberg lettuce is a thing of the past, along with nasty chemical orange cheddar cheese. The steak was so so, Ive had better in my own home. Crab cake was awful. No part of it was homemade definitely frozen, thawed and cooked. The red fish was good, the sauce/topping was cold and lacked flavor. We also had ribs, I think the best way to describe them is (this is not a BBQ joint). Terribly disappointed we spent $155 for lunch. We will not return.

We went to Saltgrass last evening for my birthday. We order appetizer, salad and entrée. They put way too much salad dressing on the for my taste. It was more dressing than salad, suggestion order it on the side! Steak was cooked right but the spices used on the steak, vegetable and my sons chicken was funky. It was the first thing I noticed. I never said a word of it out loud but interestingly my son said something didnt want to eat his chicken due to the spice taste on the chicken. We wont be going back.

The food was awesome! Unfortunately, there is more to a dining experience than just good food. Alexandra M. waited on us and apparently, talking was much more important than attending to her tables. The manager came over and offered us a free appetizer for, "Next Time!" There will be no next time! You only have one time to make a first impression! Waiting tables can be a rewarding job! But, you have to work at it Alexandra! Its not hard, treat people how you expect to be treated! I wont return!

Great steaks and atmosphere. But they have a reoccurring problem with timing in serving your food. Unless you want your salad and main course chilling on your table while you are midway through your appetizers, dont get any appetizers and remind the server not to bring your main course until youve finished your salad. Its not about rushing you out to flip the table because they take their everloving time to clear you bill.

Food and service both good, little pricey. Reservation at 730, missed the busy time for seated right away. Sat at the bar at 7 and had a drink, not many good beer choices (ipa of course). Ordered apps, jalapeno shrimp and something else wrapped in bacon. Timing of apps, soup and food was good for us. Place was packed when we started and empty by the time we left on a Friday night, so Ill always head here later.

Our order was lost for 40 min. Then when order came out it was not what we ordered 2 different meals altogether. Steaks finally came out and they were not cooked properly. The waiter apologized for his mistake and said he would comp the meals since they were wrong. Then in the end did not comp meal!! This is my favorite place and i have to say we were very dissapointed. Today was also my birthday.

The steak was alright. Ordered a filet and was brought a sirloin. Manager came over, offered to cook another, but assured me that what I had was a filet. A one inch thick steak is not a filet. They offered to make it right but I didnt want to wait. They adjusted the price down so I didnt pay for the filet. For the price it wasnt worth it. Service was a little slow, had to ask for refills.
