To the consumers: I cant rate them on their ice cream, but I did have their hot chocolate. Oh my gosh... worst hot chocolate ever. And very expensive for a powdered hot chocolate that you can buy at the local grocery store. It was very, very disappointing and it felt like was at an amusement park where you would expect ridiculous prices for bad quality. The lady behind the counter was friendly enough. Nothing to write home about. To the owners: If you change your hot choc recipe, I would be glad to delete this review just let me know. And I hope you do change what they use... or dont use chalkolate (aka. powder). If you use actual chocolate, you will have a much better recipe. Good luck. Background story: The story goes, that it was the day before new years. It is VERY cold. We had just finished visiting Garden of the God and were really looking for something warm us up and taste good. We did it the old fashion way and drove through town and found a store that said chocolate. We popped in and we were glad to see "Hot Chocolate" on their menu. I thought it was a bit pricey, but then I thought, "Hey this is a chocolate place, they have to have good hot chocolate." Our group was unanimous in saying that it had to have been the worst hot chocolate we have ever had. Worst first impression for a chocolate company = 1 star.

Confections of deliciousness galore. The staff is friendly and there is eclectic décor including a bounty of Star Wars merchandize. The Darth Vader lords over the area with swagger. One cant go wrong with the Dark Lord of the Sith beckoning you to go cray with the truffle purchases. I make a point to stop here whenever I am in Manitou. I am never disappointed. The one downer is the coffee. I ordered an Americano and it was weak and not very good. It was like a regular coffee but worse. I do not fault them because their main business is chocolate and they do super in that arena. This quaint business is a must-see. Go out of your way for a visit. Youll be glad you did.

The staff greeted us with a friendly hello. My wife and son and I decided on a double scoop with chocolate chip cookie dough and dutch chocolate. We were surprised at the small size of the scoops and bowl. This was disappointing. The cookie dough ice cream was ok, but nothing to write home about – the dough pieces were too sweet and lacked flavor. The dutch chocolate was delicious, rich, creamy and left us wanting more! In the end, I dont plan to go back due to the pricing / portions, but would highly recommend the dutch chocolate if you decide its worth it.

This is great place is great to pick up a scoop of Josh & Johns ice cream. I got a coffee ice cream that had chocolate covered coffee beans in it and it totally rocked my world. They also have a wall full of fantastic mugs and fun things! I saw a BB8 Teapot that I absolutely fell in love with. They also have a long case of chocolates. They dont mar it there and I dont think its by a local company, so I wasnt very interested in getting any. That coffee ice cream was all that I needed!

AMAZING ICE CREAM! This is the best ice cream I have ever had. Its homemade and all natural and you can tell. There is usually a line out the door, but the ice cream is worth the wait. The staff was lively and helpful, and they made everyone feel welcome. They also make the chocolate there themselves along with the fudge. It was nice to eat the ice cream there and take chocolate home for later. I would recommend this place to anyone who is serious about their ice cream or chocolate.

Wonderful people working at this place! Ice cream was very good, as well as the chocolates. It was a little pricey which is very I gave it 4 stars opposed to 5. We bought the chocolate truffles, out of the ones we had, all were coated with milk chocolate underneath, including the white and dark chocolate ones (was a bit disappointing because I dont like milk chocolate) but it was still good!!

I really like their milk almond bark and sea salt caramel fudge. Their chocolate is addictive, I just have to keep going back for more. They let me bring my dog in which was nice because a lot of places dont. The place is usually very crowded and sometimes you have to wait for a while, but its always worth it.

Stick with the chocolate and ice cream if you go here. Once you can swallow the price tag of the ice cream you will be happy. They just added coffee and pastries and I was far from impressed. The latte I had was awful and it tasted like water. The cupcake I had tasted like it was made with mostly margarine.

I love their ice cream -- Mint Chocolate Chip and Coconut Almond Delight are some of my favorites. Theyre friendly and prompt (well... as prompt as they can be, given the demand and the centralized location), and the shop itself is tiny-but-cute. No public restroom.

AMAZING ice cream. I had an ice cream cone here every day we were in Manitou, it was so delicious. A bit pricey, but worth it. Also had a really appealing-looking truffles and chocolates cabinet, but I was too focused on ice cream to bother. So good!

Those guys really enjoy making milkshakes, I have never had such a fun experience as watching those guys work. Every time someone ordered a milkshake the place went wild! Whatever the owners are doing, keep it up. Best milkshake of my life!!!

We loved our ice cream treats from Pikes Peak! I loved that they had clearly marked gluten free options for our child with Celiac and all of the flavors were bold and amazing. Definitely will go back and refer all of our friends!

I had the cookies and cream in a waffle cone. Perfectly thick and big chunks of Oreo. I have had a lot of Oreo ice cream and this was by far my favorite. I will be ordering some to Oklahoma soon!!

This place has amazing homemade candy and nerdy trinkets that are hard to find elsewhere. Best of all is their case of dog cookies. I let my puppy pick one out and he went crazy for it.

I stopped by to get a cup of ice cream, so I never really got to taste any other foods here but the transaction was quick and the staff were nice.
