I had heard good things about this place and was anticipating trying their food and delivery service. We used the online ordering from their website where we were instructed to pay and the wait would be 45-60 min. After 60 min I callled and asked for an update, they confirmed that they had my order, explained that they were busy, apologized and told me the food will arrive in 10 to 25 min. After 30 min I called to cancel the order, they asked If I used grubhub to get the delivery order and I again explained that I used their website. They again apologized and offered me free crab rangoon with no ETA when I can expect food to be delivered as their website states that they provide this service. I asked to cancel the order as polightly as possible being a little hangry at this point. They refused and stated that they cant cancel the order, I explained that they charged the card, they can cancel the order and they need to do that as the situation was unacceptable again they refused, I diconnected the call as they would not try to make ammends, make good or talk out the situation. To this time I have still never recieved my order. After further research on the TOTT website it appears they themselves are using some 3rd party delivery service coordination company with a new york phone #, I called this # and explained that I wanted to cancel, they also refused, I explained that they can cancel the order or they can deal with the banks. At this point they stated they were sorry and would cancel the order. I have worked in asian cuisine and food delivery business for large portions of my life and completely dis-satisfied with the non-sense that I have gone through to not even get food, would have preferred to write a review of their food but since I never recieved it its anyones guess...

How this place got such overall high ratings is beyond me. Ill start with the good. THE GOOD: $1.00 hot sake THE BAD: Food: If you are looking for poor to fair Chinese food with Thai and Vietnamese names, look no further. The drunken noodles were oily/greasy and tasted like lo mein. When I asked for the noodles to be extra spicy, the waitress asked me if I was absolutely sure...and then suggested I put sriracha sauce on when the dish came out if it wasnt spicy enough for me. Well, I got my extra spicy drunken noodles...they had about as much kick as Grey Poupon. So I had to use the sriracha sauce. Decor: Great...if you like eating in a place that has a Miami Vice/Asian/strip mall office feel. Service: The waitstaff were amenable but not overly friendly or helpful. The questioning of my spice level. I had a hard time deciding between poor/fair and good on this because the service was quick, yet not rough, but not truly welcoming. Im well traveled, having been all around the world and tasted both good and bad Asian food. This was the first and the last time I will give TOTT Asian Grill my business. Even if you want poor tasting food without much flavor or kick, Ill try somewhere new. The better bet is to go to Star Thai, US Thai or any Asian place along Federal Boulevard, near Alameda.

Weve ordered from TOTT for over a year now and have pretty much been pleased with them. Tonight we ordered sesame chicken for pickup (pickup is always faster), picked it up, brought it home, and started eating only to find theyd given us sesame shrimp. For most people, this would be unwelcome but not a terrible surprise. My fiancee however is allergic to shrimp and immediately had to force herself to throw up her meal. Shes lucky she only took a small bite. Great way to spend our eat out night. Im all for second chances, and I called TOTT asking them to refund our meal. The guy on the phone was incredibly dismissive and hung up on me. When I called back he continued to be dismissive and offered to deliver sesame chicken. I continued to ask for my money back. Im not sure that I did get it back, but I do know Im going to dispute the charge and NEVER order from TOTT again. Ive never been so angry at a restaurant in my life. Its one thing to mess up an order, its another to totally dismiss a fatal allergy. Avoid TOTT if you value a caring staff.

Having heard of Tott via word of mouth and after doing some online research I finally made it over there to order some takeout. Why did I wait so long to go try it? WOW! Seriously my entire family was impressed. Food that had kick, yet was not over spiced. So many favorites to list, I have yet to find anything on the menu that Ive tried that I havent liked. I dont want to write an overly glossy review as I am very finicky, but the bottom line is this place just does it all right. I havent ate in yet, but the decor is clean and pretty cool looking once you get past the outside appearance. The staff are attentive, and very friendly answering every question I have tossed at them. Even the to-go package shows attention to detail that is rare...in short, this is one place I tell everyone that you really need to go check out. The hype is real, and the food backs it up. GO!

Im having a hard time understanding the current average rating of 4+ stars. I really like authentic thai food and this wasnt it. The "thai hot" drunken noodles should have been called "oily, sweet noodles with a hint of basil". The green curry had no depth of flavor - but at least kind of tasted like green curry. The satay sauce was thin/runny but reasonably close to the correct flavor. The pork fried rice was the best dish we had, and it was fairly bland. On the plus side, the service was very good. We ordered delivery and got it within 20 minutes. In summary, if you like Thai food, every other choice within a 3 mile radius is better - which is something good service cant make up for. And, if you do like this restauraunts food - you really dont have any idea what thai food is supposed to taste like.

For two years we put up with their rudeness, really trying to support local biz in our neighborhood. On the phone for ordering- rude. Last time we watched the delivery driver flick a cigarette butt not in the street, not in the lawn, not in the wooded area to the side, but 5 feet from our front door. Last delivery, driver turned his back and walked away mid sentence while we thanked him for coming in the bad weather. We woke up this morning to 4 cigarette butts in our driveway. At first we thought it was general rudeness but after reading other reviews it appears the delivery driver is upset we did not tip enough. We dont think 15% to drive 1/4 of a mile for one bag of food deserves a massive tip. Thats a lot rudeness to take for just average food. Never giving them my money again.
