My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary here on April 15th. We had a reservation at 6:30 through Open Table. We actually showed up at 6:20 but were seated immediately. Our waitress was a younger gal that first made sure we had drinks and then politely went through the whole menu, explaining how it worked since it was our first time. We ended up ordering the cheesy garlic toast as an appetizer. Unfortunately, it was way too garlicky for our palates. I wasnt able to take more than a few bites. The waitress was super nice about it and actually just took it off our bill, which we really didnt expect! For dinner, I had the chicken and ribs dinner with a side of keg fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. But my husband ordered a top sirloin steak (which I obviously tried) and seriously, it was one of the most amazing steaks Ive ever had the pleasure of taking a bite of. Next time, thats what I am ordering. The meat was perfectly tender and the flavors were powerful but not overwhelming by any means. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée which also created a fantastic dance in my mouth. The service is amazing, the food is on point, and the prices are reasonable in my opinion. Check it out. Highly recommend.

Id give it 3.5 stars if I could. The Keg is an elegant place, with attentive and friendly service. The food is excellent, focused on steak and seafood, and you do pay for it accordingly. Its apparent from the atmosphere that it is a chain; that said, theyve done a nice job in diminishing the corporate feel. In this part of Lakewood/Golden, its difficult to find high quality, independent restaurants. The Keg has locations in 4 states, and the Golden location is found in the Colorado Mills shopping center. Ive had an excellent Sirloin Oscar here. More recently, my wife and I sat in the bar area, which has a cozier and slightly more casual feel to it. My wife really liked her salad. I had the portabella mushroom burger; the flavor was outstanding, though I didnt care for the crusty bread it was served on. Service was excellent. My only other complaint was around the glass of Sambuca I ordered, which at $7.50 was probably less than an ounce of liquor. Better to stick with the excellent local beer offered.

If I could give more than 5 stars" I would. My husband and I went there for the first time ever tonight to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, and this place was amazing! We did not have 1 complaint about Keg. Atmosphere-absolutely stunning! Very romantic, cozy, clean, and beautiful. Food- yummy! We had the mushroom Neptune for starters, which was so good, then I had the steak and crab, and my husband had the prime rib. We loved every bite, and everything was cooked to perfection. Service- Bob was our server! He was on top of things, always made sure our food was good, and we were taken care of. We got a complimentary toast for our 1 year. He was always smiling, and explained things to us perfectly. Everyone and everything was great! I highly recommend going here. We will be back for sure. Thanks Keg for giving us a dinner to remember forever!

Took my out-of-town brother and his lady for what I hoped would be a good meal, classy place, and nice atmosphere. Well, food was okay, though I had to "saw" my Prime Rib a couple of times. The atmosphere? Like a darned night club! So hard to hear each other at our table. I complained about a loud table clear across the large room. Nothing changed. The table next to us ALSO complained about the same raucous table. Still loud. Finally I complained again and the waiter said he couldnt do anything but would tell the manager. FINALLY saw someone go over there and it got a little quieter, but this is still NO place to go for an elegant, pleasant meal. Too loud! And no, we wont go back. If we want a loud place to eat, we can turn up the TV.

The first thing i noticed was the how they made their hostesses dress: short black skirts and low cut black blouses. Not as bad as Hooters or The Tilted Kilt, but still not a very great first impression. The food was okay; over priced and small portions, but tasted fine. We probably could have made something similar at home for a cheaper price. Also, our waiter seemed uninterested, distant, and disappointed that we didnt order any drinks or a lot of food. The atmosphere was kind of dark, making it difficult to see how well our steaks were cooked. I dont think well be going back there again. It could work for other people though.

I usually love The Keg for the good service and good food, but this last time we went I was really disappointed. I went for a free birthday dinner, which I am glad I did because I would have been mad if I paid the full $37 for a sub par filet. It was way over seasoned, was cut into, I assume to make sure it was cooked properly and just mediocre in general. The twice baked potato was way over cooked and crunchy on top, and the veggies were bland. The bread to start was over cooked and dry and the service was slow. I really hope this was just a random experience and does not reflect a new standard of low quality.

Very close to where I live. The Keg staff has always been great to me, particularly Luke and Corey, the two main bartenders. Great service, great food, great drinks. A couple of days ago, I had a medical issue at The Keg which forced me to leave by ambulance. The staff were incredibly helpful and concerned for me at the time. I just came back for the first time since that occurred, and everyone here has been so great that I just had to drop everything else and write this review. Staff I dont think Ive even met before came up to check on me to make sure I am ok. Cant speak highly enough of The Keg!

I had never heard of Keg, although I understand it is somewhat of a chain. Chain aside, it was an excellent meal. Awesome sourdough bread for the table. I ordered the garlic and blue cheese topped filet. It was cooked perfectly and it was delicious. The vegetables on the side were a little meager, but the mashed was a good serving. Service was solid and parking was easy. We went on Saturday night which happened to be 4th of July, so the place was pretty dead. Id imagine its a bit busier on a normal Saturday. Overall this was a good spot and Id probably return again.

I love the atmosphere of the Keg. The food is pretty good but about 6 months ago there seemed to be a change in the prep of their prime rib... It went from the best thing I had ever ate to nothing special like they were trying to save money on spices. They also have a great carrot cake. The rest of the menu seems to still be high quality though. Service has change a little over the last two years but is still pretty good. It is a little expensive but good for what you get.. other than the prime rib. Overall the Keg is a great place to eat.
