I went this evening a little disappointed. The waiter was patient and courteous. My biggest gruff is that a sweet potato fry substitution is $2, however the difference between regular fries on the menu as a side is only a $1. So I pay $1 extra dollars for the inconvenience? I can go to Tellers on 20th and Youngfield and pay 50 cent for the substitution. The other issue is there is wood everywhere. Wood floor, wood walls, wood tables, wood chairs, even a wood hostess stand. My friend almost slipped on the floor, thank god I was behind her to catch her arm. This is the summit house I am thinking rocks or dark wood, I feel like I am in a pine coffin in that restaurant. The food was so so no flavoring at all. I had the pork sandwich and it was like there was no sauce it was dry, however the sweet potato fries were awesome, I would hope so for $2. My friend had mac and cheese which was ok except for the water cheese mixture at the bottom, drain the pasta people. The only thing I would come back for would be patio drinking during happy hour, when its not raining if every other bar was full. No wonder it was dead on a Saturday night.

I work nearby and love to try new places. I saw Summit House open and decided to give it a try with three of my coworkers. We have an hour break for lunch and all have afternoon meetings usually. Linda our waitress was kind, but didnt check up on us often, even after we said we were in a rush. Chips and salsa took 20 minutes to come to the table and our food, which consisted of 3 sandwiches and mac and cheese, took 45 minutes to come out. The food itself was tasty, but nothing exceptional. There were concerns regarding certain food items but after the service level and time it took for our food to come out, we will not be going back and those arent worth bringing up. It is worth noting that the manager did come to our table to apologize for the service and comped our beverages.

I really want to love Summit house, but after visiting several times, I cant go back. First off, the good: the dry rub wings are excellent, its why we kept coming back. But, the hours situation is disappointing. They originally had a 2am sign on their door I believe, but didnt remove it until after they moved up their hours to 11pm or midnight. Their website says they are open til "11am" and google shows midnight. Weve come at 1030 before and everything was shut down. We came at 1115pm when they were supposed to be open until midnight and everything was shut down. Weve given up on this place due to having unclear hours in many cases, and in the few cases where its sort of clear, them being closed prior to those hours. Its too bad, because we really enjoyed those wings.

I was really looking forward to my lunch today. Sadly, it was a pretty big let down. I ordered a burger well-done with french fries to be delivered to the office building where I work. When my order arrived it was cold and there was no ketchup or mustard, or anything, simply just a dried out and cold burger, with cold french fries. Very poor service as there was no offer of resolution to the dilemma when I called. I regret that I didnt spend the extra money and order from Red Robin where I KNOW my food would have met my expectations and would not have been ice cold. Who wants to eat a cold burger with cold fries? I will NOT be ordering from this restaurant again, and I certainly do NOT recommend this restaurant, nor will I to my co-workers or anyone I know.

Customer service = AWFUL ... Walked in the establishment last night, was surprisingly greeted by the gentleman behind the bar, told us to take a seat anywhere we like, after observing the waiter and the bartender attend to customers that were already there and waiting at least ten minutes without anyone asking if we would like anything to drink - We decided it was time to leave - You should really pay attention to people coming in your front door and at least acknowledging that they are there ... I will never return, nor will I recommend this establishment - First impression people, its honestly that simple.

Food was OK for the price, but nothing extraordinary. Our server was friendly and helpful, especially with dessert recommendations. The bar area looked decent, and I noticed a good number of tap handles. The beer I wanted on the menu was no longer served, so that was a minor disappointment. Beer selection is mediocre with a large concentration on stuff like Coors Light and Shock Top rather than interesting craft beers. Nothing really wrong, but nothing Id go out of my way to experience again.

What a filthy dirty place... we should have left as soon as we walked in the door. The carpet is grease soaked, windows are filthy. Chicken wing bones on the patio floor. We ordered a drink and decided to share a salad. The dishes were dirty and the salad dressing (on the side) had a film on top. I asked about it and the response was "looks like it just needs to be stirred". The waitress was nice but I was totally grossed out. Property is very run down. I will not go back. Yuk...

Came for lunch on a Friday. Good food, really liked the music, good service. Waitress was attentive, but not hovering. Theres a big window where you can watch the cooks make your food, so you know theyre not spitting in it. Had the steak salad, liked it a lot. Greens were fresh, steak was cooked just right, dressing had just the right kick to it. Bathroom was clean. Only bad things---table was wobbly which kept making my coffee spill. Highly recommended.

Poorly ran place. We stood in the front for about ten minutes during a moderately busy--but far from packed--evening and werent even acknowledged. I had to walk up to someone who worked there over by the bar. He then informs me there is not host and there will be a ten minute wait before getting served or even sat, despite their being empty tables all over the place. It isnt splitting atoms to run a restaurant efficiently and this place FAILS MISERABLY.

This was our second visit to Summit. We tried happy hour the first time and were blown away by how cheap and good the eats were. Had sliders and a mountain of fries. Tonight we went with our Groupon for dinner. They had a power outage earlier in the day so no short ribs unfortunately. However, I had a BLAT and husband had a BBQ burger-both delicious. Service is fast and friendly. Great beer selection on tap as well. We will definitely be back!

Great Food and Good Beer Selection. I have eaten here twice and was impressed with the food each time. The claim is that all the food is freshly made in the kitchen. I had the French Toast and the fish and chips. I had two fantastic soups. The French fries are great with the beer. Service was attentive both times including a visit from the owner. Enjoy!

Service is terrible. Solo travelor. Lounge 1/3 full. Sat for 15 minutes. Did some email, checked the news, then left since no one even offered a drink let alone food. 7 PM on a Thursday. Hostess saw me, bartender chatting it up with clients at the bar. Must be a no service go to the bar kind of place. Went next door to SAMs as I wanted food and a drink.
