This was my favorite restaurant, besides the An Nam which closed. But after last night, I must let my favorite place of over 20 years go. I think this Coal Mine Dragon is getting too much competition from Panda Express which moved in right near them. They are doing what all good old restaurants do when confronted by competition like this. They cheap it up on their ingredients, then raise the prices. Called in for Almond Chicken, and Sweet and Sour Pork. The veggies in the chicken dish were obviously from a can. Uniformly cut cubed carrots? If I didnt know better I would have thought I spotted some potato chunks. It was tasteless and dull. The pork was just as bland. The sweet and sour sauce overly sweet, like it too was from a can. Maybe theyre just trying to make the military happy with mess hall food? I dont know, but it cost $30 of my hard earned money for a dinner to feed two people. My heart is breaking, but Im done. The egg rolls were also pre made and terrible, dry (K rations?). Good bye Coal Mine, good luck with the military, that is apparently all you will be serving.

Really disappointing. Their hot and spicy soup had a weird sweetness to it. I ordered the chicken chow mein with steamed rice. The chicken was rubbery and the rice was under cooked in spots so I barely ate those. The veggies and sauce were typical and good. The eggroll was really good. As I prepared to leave, I asked if they had to-go drinks. She said yes. A few minutes later she returned with a plastic soup container and said it would be $3.50 for a to-go soda...and thats on top of the $2.95 they charged for my soda at the table. After I paid I thought, I should at least tell them...so I very nicely told her why I was not happy with my meal and her response to me was "well I guess you dont like Chinese food then!" (to the contrary...I could live on good hot and sour soup) I will definitely not be back.

Had 2 Lunch Specials. Garlic Chicken and Cashew Chicken. Both were good in flavor for the price with a lot of food. However, the fried rice (which didnt cost extra with the lunch special) was actually just steamed brown rice. The specials also came with choice of soup, we got egg drop which was good. The crab wontons that came with the specials were good, but the egg rolls were not, they were dry and flavorless. We ordered fried dumplings as another appetizer. These were very good. Also ordered a full entree of sesame chicken. Flavor was decent and it was a pile of chicken, nice and crispy. I went in at noon, placed my take out order, and 10 minutes later the food was ready. I Interacted with two staff members, both were welcoming, polite and helpful. I will surely order from this place again.

This is a good place to eat, but there is a waiter there that is very rude and unfriendly. Hes been there for a while, but causes grief every time I go there. I finally just order out now, because he is very rude. I ordered something there and turned out it was not what I ordered, I sent it back and he told me I had to pay for it after he took it from the table? I complained and asked for the manager, and then he took it off my bill. I explained to him he is very rude every time and causes me grief...I asked for a refill on another visit and he said, we charge extra for that....I just looked at him and said, okay and the problem is? Great Food, they just need to fire the waiter...3 stars, only because of the service from the rude waiter! Just order your food and pick it up!

This is one out of now barely two Chinese restaurants my family and I go to and really enjoy. We live in the 80918 area of the Springs and drive down to Fountain to eat here. The atmosphere is relaxing and the customer service is excellent. The food is delicious, General Tsos Chicken, Garlic Chicken, and the Sweet and Sour Soup (it may be called something else). The only thing I dislike about this place are the bright hanging lights over the tables. Fun fact; this restaurant was in a 2015 movie starring Kevin Bacon and gotten a 79% on the Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes.

I ordered chicken fried rice with no vegetables. I got chicken fried rice with vegetables. I drove back there after calling them and the gave me steamed rice with no egg or vegetables. Pore quality. Im not satisfied at all. Then as I was walking outside the guy followed me outside and told me next time I go there I need to tell them only chicken and rice. Very unprofessional and ubsurd. There wont ever again be a next time. Very ignorant staff there and the young girl was texting on her phone while I waited 10 minutes to place my order to go. Too redicous.

I have been eating here since 1990 and was very disappointed with the meal tonight. My last visit was four years ago and it was great. We moved away and this was our first visit since moving away. It has definitely gone down hill since that time. The server seemed very inexperienced and not very personable. We ordered the lemon chicken and the sauce tasted diluted and bland. The vegetables on the orange chicken were raw and uncooked. The quality of the food and service was no better than Panda Express and I would have saved money.

Always order from them and today my husband ordered and they got the order completely wrong and when he called to let them know the guy that answered was extremely rude! We couldnt understand anything he was saying and after we were patient trying to explain to him what our order was he got mad and yelled at my husband and told him to never call again! Dont worry we wont ! So expensive and they did a horrible job and still think its okay to be rude to a customer ! Never again will we order or recommend them.

Just moved out here. Was looking for some decent chinese food. This wasnt even decent. And waaaaay over priced. The fried dumplings were cold, the sauce nothing but tasteless oil. Heaven forbid anyone finds any actual meat in their order. The restaurant itself smells terrible. Like the bathroom is the main attraction. Id bet money theyve got an infestation of several creatures. And the staff was very rude and unwelcoming. So much for having any chinese food again in the near future. Dont waste your money.

OMG....why did I order from this place! The worse Chinese food I have EVER tasted. I ordered 3 different meals and every one of them was bad. I normally do not rate place a but honestly...its bad. I only gave it a one star and that was because am at least the delivery was on time. The food is bland and the chicken was soggy and Im not even sure its real chicken but rather imitation chicken. Find somewhere that has better food because this is not the place.

Had been going to this restaurant for 20+ years and always loved this place! But now noticed an extremely rude male waiter and didnt care about customer service all. Then theres a female waitress that added a tip to my bill because she explained, she never gets good from "us". I complained to Management, and said that was illegal for a 2 person meal, especially when never stated for said meal. Horrible, Deceitful, Liars..
