Best chinese food and service around!!! I recently came to the springs to be with my girlfriend and asked her plus other people who have lived here awhile about where a good chinese restaurant is. Everyone said there are no good places to eat chinese food. I decided to search for one and ran across Shangrila. The reviews spoke highly of this place so we went there for lunch on Friday, 10 June 2016 to try it out. I was impressed the minute I stepped inside and was greeted by the owner. He was very friendly and appeared to be running a nice establishment from the first appearance! A waiter promptly greeted me and seated me, per my preference, while I waitd on my gf. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, per another reviewers advice. She ordered the garlic chicken. Our food was delivered to us in no time, and was a generous size portion. The taste was delicious and the service was outstanding!!! I am a 100% disabled vet from Oklahoma so I carry my tax exemption card everywhere I go. I asked the waiter about a military discount, and the tax exemption. He quickly responded yes for military discount, but was unsure of tax exemption. The owner came to our table and said, "Im sorry sir but Ive never heard of this exemption for individuals before, but I will honor that for you today, plus will find out more about it so I can honor other future patrons requests for this". He immediately took the tax plus discount off, and said "thank you very much for eating with us. I hope you are satisfied and will come back". I told him I was impressed with his choices of meal selections, the quality taste and portions served, the prices being low, and the outstanding service his staff provides to all patrons!!! I told him I would give his establishment a true excellent rating, and will definitely be back!!! He smiled and said thank you very much.

I cant speak highly enough about Shangri-La. I have eaten at most oriental restaurants in town, and while the food at other locations might be a little more high end, the service here is second to none. The owners are very personable, they remember your name, decorate for holidays, and have a great sense of humor as well (they bang a giant gong and sign Happy Birthday in Chinese). The location is clean, well lit, and very cozy feeling, and we will often go with a party of ~10 with no issues. They do take reservations, which you will want to check on if you plan on dining during a busy time. So if you are looking for the best Asian food in town, Shangri-La might not be your pick, but if you are looking for a very comfortable and friendly experience, I would highly recommend Shangri-La.

Maybe my third or fourth time here. This time on arrival the gentleman (who appeared to be the manager) gathered up utensils for our table then dropped one on the floor. No big deal - well yes it was, he picked it up and went right ahead and set our table with it! Following that distasteful introduction, we asked for crispy tofu only to be served the most spongy tofu Ive ever seen. Food preparation seems to have gone down-hill. Veggies in dishes are all chopped up in nice little chunks like those youd find in a can of vegetable soup. Sauces seem the same across several different dishes. Probably wont be back.

Service is outstanding -- simply the best weve experienced and weve been here many times with out-of-town guests or just our own family. The food is much better than what youd get at other Chinese restaurants. Its fresh and they offer options we havent had at most places (order General Tsos and theyll ask if youd like white meat, dark meat, or a mix -- go for the white meat). Dumplings, rangoons, and soups are all outstanding. It is a little more expensive than most Chinese restaurants, but still its PF Changs quality food with better service at a lower cost.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Ive eaten at many Asian restaurants all over the country and this place is heads and heels over every other one Ive been in! Everything about this place is a 10! The decor is beautiful and the cleanliness is fantastic. The restrooms are well equipped and extremely clean. The service is magnificent ...really above and beyond. As for the food all I can say is simply delicious! It is served and plated well. I feel that Ive dining at a pricy 5 star restaurant. This place is 10 star to me.

My office is near by so we decided to have lunch at Shangri-La and it was very, very good. The food was fresh and the serving size was generous. The wait staff were professional, attentive, and very nice. The atmosphere was quiet, and the decor was lovely. I will be going back often. I am a huge Shrimp with Lobster Sauce fan and it was spot on. I also love egg drop soup. While this is a simple soup some places can try to over complicate it. Not here...very good!

I love Chinese food but am allergic to soy. I can have a little soy, but if I overdo it, I have some nasty side effects. For my Chinese fix I order either Sweet & Sour Chicken or Vegetable Lo Mein, no added soy. It tastes great and no side effects for me. They never look at me as if Im crazy and they bend over backwards to make sure the order works for me. This is my go-to place for Chinese food. It tastes great and they are so accomodating.

I used to work in this restaurant. If anyone had any idea what goes on in the kitchen or during food preparation, no one would ever eat here again! The food is above average (if you dont think about the other factors...), but cleanliness is poor. It is true the workers are usually very nice. Lunch plates are between 6.95-7.95, dinners are up to 13.95, except for the special entrees which can get into the 20s.

I love this restaurant! Im a very picky eater, especially when it comes to foreign foods, but I absolutely love Shangri-La. I havent had anything of theirs that I didnt like and not only that, but every employee is so friendly, especially the woman in charge. They truly care about your experience. My favorite dish is the Beef Lo Mein, but you cant go wrong with any of it. I definitely recommend going here!

I come here every Sunday with my Fiancee. Sometimes we bring family and friends, its our spot! Quiet atmosphere, super friendly staff and owners, food is always good and comes out fast. Complimentary Jasmin tea. I feel like Im at home every time. If youre looking for a regular Chinese restaurant that is consistent and doesnt have the big loud open vibe of P.F Changs, then I highly recommend Shangrila.

Ive been a patron since its opening. This is the best Americanized Chinese food restaurant that I know of in COS. New China Kitchen 2 offers more authentic Chinese food but being more authentic makes it more edgy. Shangrila’s food, ambiance, service, and the wonderful husband and wife owners are all over the top. Ive dined here with my wife, colleagues, and friends and none have left disappointed.

Our realtor actually showed us this place. Since then we come here as much as we can. Weve always had great service and even better food. One thing I would do is go for lunch instead of supper. You pay a few bucks more for the same dish. The kids love the food and their double spicy is the perfect blend of hotness. Egg drop soup is some of the best Ive had. Highly recommend this place.
