Lets start with the one and only positive: the coffee. Quite possibly some of the best in Denver and, since Ink! is a coffeeshop (coffee underlined), that gives them a few additional points. However, everything else you expect from a good coffeeshop is either missing or falls far short of reasonable expectations. The layout is extremely inefficient and doesnt create a very social atmosphere. The dividing walls seem completely unnecessary as you can still hear people on the other side as well as you would if the walls werent there at all. The furniture is painfully uncomfortable. The benches at the tables located within the dividing walls sink-in in the middle and are awful. The chairs at tables outside of the divided area are rigid, which I assume is meant to yield some sort of contemporary, "industrial" appeal. The lighting is terrible. The space could be used far more efficiently to create additional seating. There are very few seats in the whole place that have access to wall outlets for computers. The food: dismal at best. I just read another review that said Ink! provided them "the best sandwich [theyve] ever had". That person clearly hasnt experienced very many good sandwiches. They only have one type of bread: a huge, disproportionate white-bread roll that is dry and flavorless. They only have one type of cheese (provolone?). The other food choices are also poor. All varieties of "teabread" are mediocre, at best. The burritos are awful. The breakfast sandwiches are decent, at best. None of the employees are friendly and they couldnt care less about your experience at Ink!. If youre looking for to-go coffee, this is a good choice, but if you like to spend time hanging out in comfortable coffeeshops reading, studying, listening to music, etc. I would highly recommend going somewhere else. By my review you can probably tell that Ive been to Ink! quite a bit. I really wish there was a different coffeeshop less than a block from my house.

Location is great. Coffee selection is really good. Food selection is good. Strange though the restaurant does not have a microwave. I love to slightly heat up my croissant, and bagel when I have them with coffee. Never have had this problem in any other coffee shop, in any place, anywhere in the States, or overseas. Seating outside is pleasant enough in nice weather. Not good inside because the layout is haphazard, and the restaurant is, well, the only accurate word for it, is dirty. There is a valid reason to require a key for the restroom. The area has a lot of street people. Enough said. Now, about the staff. I live 3 blocks from Ink, and have been here five times between September and November, 2014. I have never seen the same employee twice. But I have ALWAYS experienced the same attitude. Disinterested, bored, surly, smirking ( I have a severe hearing problem and often needed to ask the servers to repeat themselves). Not once did a serve increase the volume of their voice so I could hear better. The person just grinned at another employee nearby. So, after giving this establishment sufficient chances to earn my business, and them failing to do so, I have stopped going there, and have published this negative review of them.

Hey Ink dudes. I walked all the way from Capitol Hill to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a nice cold drink from your shop with my dog. I ordered a decaf blended B&B- its so good, thanks. But your entire barista crew made jokes - and not even funny ones - about the fact that anyone would want decaf. None of you acknowledged that I was standing right in front of you, you just openly hated on my order. Youre all pretty young so youre going to do dumb things like tattoo a bunch of lines on your arm, but Im pretty sure that openly mocking your customers without even considering that they can hear you is not something youd do in front of your boss. Just be cool. If I wanted to go to a shop run by rude coffee snobs, I could have stayed in my own hood. If youre going to be rude, at least do me the courtesy of being funny. Oh! And the best part! The stripped arm tattoo dude? He came out to the park where I was sitting and lot up a stinky joint next to me and coughed his way through his break before heading back in to be rude some more!

Well my sister and I had to use the bathroom and so we thought oh perfect this place is right close to where we are. Only place to go to the bathroom on the north side of downtown, and THEY ARE NAZIS about it. The lady at the front said "Im sorry you cant use the restrooms without a purchase" okay.... honestly? So we waste some money on stale poppy seed bread. And if that wasnt all, the key to the mens bathroom didnt even work. The womens key hardly worked but after a few minutes of figiting I got it opened so My sister could go, and then I went (yes, in the womens, I didnt care but that shouldnt happen) They Lady at the counter didnt know how to do anything without turning to the shift manager and asking a question. I am VERY unimpressed with this place and will NEVER return again.

Decent coffee, if you can deal with the pretentious pricks that work there. Sure, a few of the staff are somewhat nice but the majority are just complete assholes who couldnt care less about you. No eye contact, no thank you, nothing... Ask a question about a particular coffee?? God be with you as they make fun of you or look at you like you are the stupidest human to walk the Earth. And whats with the key to the bathroom? Really? Go somewhere else for your coffee unless you REALLY like the coffee they serve.

Great staff, and good coffee. On the downside: The atmosphere isnt all that cozy if you plan to stay. The chairs are a bit cheap, and they make loud, screeching noises as people get up and down. Secondly, the bathrooms are locked which is strange to me. Other shops in the area seem to be able to handle their restroom traffic without that. In all, Id definitely come by for a quick cup, but I dont know that it would be my choice if I wanted to hang around.

This is an amazing place good coffee and good food. All 100% healthy foods and just a wonderful place. The people working are always nice and in a good mood. Not stuffy and milling through customers like at a Starbucks. Its a real interaction with the customer and a smile on everyones face. Any bad reviews should be questioned highly add to they validity.

If I could give zero stars I would. What a horrible experience! Literally put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. Their staff are all snobs and stuck up women. Ridiculous. Not to mention I just had to pay over $6.00 for an iced coffee? Terrible customer service and over priced coffee. Just lost a first time customer. Never going back!

They make a half decent Americano, however I agree with many of the other posts - the people working here are not too friendly, almost rude, which is really quite strange. Definitely will skip this place the next time and ride my bike over to the REI Starbucks - good Americano and friendly staff.

Loving the outdoor patio at Riverfront this summer. Free wifi with my delicious latte. Lunch--I love the caprese sald--all food made to order which I appreciate. People (and dog watching) also at an all time high this time of year. Go local ..support ink!
