Its nearly impossible to watch the bad reviews of a place like Sojos and not laugh. Theres a good general rule when perusing Google for a review of a place, if there are a ton of 5 star reviews and a small handful of bad or poor reviews (less than 20%) then you can bet that the place is excellent. The snooty and self centered will place a bad review to make themselves look good. People who work and/or otherwise are rooting for the competition (family, friends or otherwise supporters of other similar businesses) will place a bad review because they know that the host of other great reviews means that theres real competition in such a great business. The sad part is the laughable complaints that have no bearing on whats really going on at Sojos and show just how shallow and banal these reviewers must be. Is it possible that they just caught the business on a bad day? Maybe. But in the 4+ years that Ive been going there Ive NEVER experienced that, so I think my first assessment stands. Regular coffee drinkers who dont want the burnt carbon flavour of Starbucks look for small mom & pop places where the coffee is about the flavour, the decor about a home and comfy feel and the people are generally good and fun to be around. Sojourners is that place, its great coffee and food, great surroundings, and great people working there and its really just that simple. There are rare times when theres 1 or 2 people in Sojos but most of the time its well packed from morning to late afternoon and that is the best review of all. Dont bother with any other coffee shop within 50 miles, dont head downtown to fight traffic all day and get mediocre coffee. Grab your iPad/Laptop/book of the day and head to Sojos for good eats and a relaxing atmosphere.

We live two blocks away and LOVE coming here. My only criticism is there is this extensive menu of delicious paninis, but as far as I can tell only one panini maker... so if there are any orders ahead of you, you will be waiting a LONG time for your sandwich. Not a problem, unless you are in a hurry and trying to grab a quick bite. Also, not even really a criticism but Sunday mornings always seem like the most perfect time when wed love to come in for a leisurely breakfast and coffee after our morning walk and we are disappointed, literally every single Sunday, that you are closed. But there are other neighborhood brunch spots that we like so its really no big deal. It is what it is!

Love this place. Homey relaxed atmosphere with unique drink options. The coffee always tastes amazing and you can safely try new things every time you come in and not be disappointed. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Another added bonus is the food selection. I love that I can get a delicious and simple panini thats made to order. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Saw a small herd of grandmas come here to knit together the other day. It was adorable. Try the Red Latte if youre into caffeine free tea drinks. I have definitely been lightly obsessed with this one. Perfect treat to grab right after work. (Pictured)

Novo coffee is the most disgusting coffee around. I dont know why any coffee houses choose to use it. It tastes like burned popcorn. So, number one, my coffee experience there sucked. Number two, I ordered a sandwich that, NO JOKE, took 43 minutes to get! I couldnt believe how long it took to get a basic turkey and cheese sandwich. The food was fine, in fact, I would be giving a higher rating if it was about the foods taste. But the disgusting coffee and ridiculous wait give this place a big one star thumbs down!

I love that I live close to here! The drinks are amazing! Last time I was here, they were selling Glacier Ice Cream, which is another plus that any Boulder native would be happy about. The atmosphere is so humble and welcoming, making it a great place to get something warm to drink in the harsh Colorado winters. Pricing is no different than Starbucks, but you can taste the difference between the two. Whether youve lived here forever, or are just passing through, I recommend stopping by Sojourners!

This is a lovely stop for your coffee fix, and has a rustic travelers atmosphere. Its equally good for the laptop-toting entrepreneur or a group of old friends. Usually quiet in the mornings before 8 am, rarely have to wait long in line. Ive seen plenty of board games, magazines, and Wheres Waldo books to entertain nearly anyone. My favorite drink is a decaf soy cortado (I know I hardly count as a coffee consumer, haha) and they make a wonderfully nutty, asthetically pleasing drink.

Loved the place! Went for the first time today to spend a few hours and knock out a couple things for work. Ordered a cafe latte and mocha, both were spectacular! Inside looked beautiful but I sat outside as there is no place to lock your bike around here (negative in my book). Looking forward to going back as its the nicest coffee shop within biking distance for me. EDIT: second time here, an hour and a half after I finished my drink I was offered a free Iced Mocha by an employee.

Amazing. Youd never know this place was so cute, as its completely nondescript from the outside. I got an iced chai with red espresso, which was beautiful as well as delicious. Plus, I took a long time to order because I always do that with new menus, and the owner asked if it was my first time here. When I said yes he gave me 3 stamps on my new card instead of 1 toward a free drink!

Great coffee, sandwiches, and atmosphere! I love the feeling of this place. They use Ethiopian coffee for their espresso, and they warm your mug before you pour your coffee. Kings cheese is a good sandwich, and the lox sandwich is a perfect breakfast item. College feel, board games, decent for groups. Park across the street on weekends, as it gets very busy.

This is my favorite coffee shop and I dont even love coffee that much. Everything here is delicious, staff is friendly and they want you to enjoy it, they will remake anything if its not right. There is wifi and comfy variety of seating. The only issue I have is the lack of diversity of people who come here but thats not likely the owners fault.

I absolutely treasure respectable, community oriented coffee houses. Sojourners is unique without being pretentious, hip without being hipster, and clean without being sterile or stainless steel or TargetIkeaCrateandBarrell uhhhghaghfart. And they serve CAFE NOVO coffee— classy. Thank you, Sojourners.

Such a gem! I dont like Starbucks...never really have. I just want a small coffee - why force me to learn a new language? Anyway, Sojourners is a find! Coffee is amazing, staff is very friendly, and it is such a comfortable environment. It can get REALLY busy during the peak hours. I love this spot!

Friendly employees, deliciously flavored coffee, and a broad selection of food and beverages! I love the vibe at Sojourners every time I go in. There is an older lady there who isnt the most pleasant person, but I havent had to deal with her enough to affect my overall perception of the coffee shop.
