A local establishment that has potential, but falls short. The menu has some fairly basic cafe fair, standard coffee/espresso drinks and a small selection of wine, beer and cocktails. For starters, everything is overpriced. Cork & Coffee isnt the only place on 32nd Ave. charging $14 for a sandwich, but it does make a just-OK sandwich that should cost half that. And the cluttered kitchen buzzing with flies cant be meeting food safety standards. If youre into coffee, know that LavAzza ("Italys favorite coffee") is a low-grade, mass produced coffee more on par with say, Folgers, than with the locally roasted craft coffee you can get at other shops not more than a block or two away. Plusses include a cozy atmosphere inside and great outdoor patio and reasonably friendly staff (often only one or two of them working at a time, unfortunately, which is a problem if theres a rush), but overall the restaurant fails to compete with other local options for food, coffee and drinks. Wont be returning as a customer.

I have been here twice and both times very disappointed with the service. The two stars are for the food, which is good. The first time I was here, I ordered a cappuccino and a panini sandwich. The sandwich took forever-- well over 20 minutes!! I think the guy who took my order completely forgot about it because he got slammed with several other orders right after mine. And then dropped a loud F bomb when he saw me sitting there with my coffee finished still waiting on the sandwich. The second time I went there, I ordered a sandwich and paid the bill. After they ran my card, I was then told that they were out of the main ingredient on my sandwich and did i want to order something else. I ordered a cheaper sandwich. When I asked, "are you going to refund my card and re-run the new charge?" the server said, "I guess, if you want." as if I was putting her out. I give it two stars because the food is good. But I wont be going back because the service is pretty bad and the prices are high.

Really enjoy the atmosphere and all of the staff is delightful. The patio is a great spot to work, people watch or catch some sun. The only thing falling short of a 5 star rating is the internet is extremely slow (less than 10mbs) and the wifi signal does not reach to the otherwise amazing patio area. If they could increase the speed, capacity and signal strength of the internet this would be a go-to; instead I often work at Novo Coffee a few doors down.

I love this place!!! Shawn, the owner, and her spouse Angela, have always made me, and my best friends, my dogs, feel special!! My previous dogs, Dave and Bayly, loved them both! I was so excited to introduce my current Golden Retrievers, Champ and Rossi, to the two of them! Great eclectic atmosphere, patio, and location in the Highlands! I no longer live in the area but like to return whenever Im in the area!!!

Stuck up! Thats the last time we visit them. My wife just had a bad experience today with both the barrista and manager not accommodating at all. We always give a place a couple of chances and theyve consistently maintained a rude and snobby service. Not worth the money especially since Cafe Zuri across the street can do just as good if not better.

Best patio to hang out in Denver. Sit with your dog and enjoy wine and tapas or just a coffee and pastry. Sean and Angela are the friendliest owners, taking time to come outside and sit and have a chat to everyone (including the dogs). Its like being sat outside your own house with flowers and shady trees. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

I go here all the time for breakfast on the weekends. They have awesome breakfast sandwiches and good coffee. Cool patio to sit on and dog friendly. Service can be a little slow sometimes when it gets busy and I think they microwave their eggs instead of stove-top cook them(?), but overall a great place to eat & hangout.

Great place to go if you have time and want to relax. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. You do have to have an order of at least $5 to pay with card but thats not really a big deal. The staff is gracious and fun to talk to, so long as its not too busy. Overall its a good local coffee/wine house.

So I got a breakfast burrito for $6.50 It literally looked like they slopped it together and threw it in a microwave. Also quite small for the price. Beverage is okay. They definitely overcharge for what you really get. And they will forget to make your drinks and food so you should probably check back often.

Your experience is going to heavily depend on which employee you deal with. If your looking for something a different laid back unique this is the spot. They offer personal service and a quiet wifi environment. If you need to grab your drink and go this may not be the place. We have only been once.

The burrito I got was terrible. It was like they put chorizo in a tortilla, the some cheese on top and put it in the microwave. Absolutely disgusting. Waited forever to get my coffee. Basically had to remind them that I ordered it. Way over priced and not that great. I wouldnt go back again.

The atmosphere is pleasant enough, but the food is not worth it. The breakfast tacos had zero flavor, except the cardboard tasting shells. Even the pico added nothing.. Had maybe one egg across the two of them. Panini was mediocre. Over priced, poor quality, small servings. Fine for coffee.

I came to Highlands Cork and Coffee and enjoyed my time here. Contrary to what the other reviews say, I found the staff friendly. The omelette was delicious. I dont drink coffee often so cant comment on the quality of the coffee. Ill be back.

Neat vibe, but dont come here to get work done. The internet is horrendous. Otherwise, neat place. I came here to knock some things off my to do list but had to go elsewhere since the internet was so slow.

Great sandwiches burritos, drinks and coffee. Super busy for a reason...prices are competitive to surrounding establishments. Complaining about wifi is so 2015, bring a hotspot or use Xfinitys network.

This place has so much potential!!! But it does fall kinda short. Atmosphere is nice and casual. Patio is great. Food is okay but not great. Coffee wasnt great. Staff was quick and attentive.

Worst coffee and service Ive received in Denver. Coffee was bitter, staff dismissive, and supposed half an half was the consistency of skim milk and not fixed or even looked at after we asked.

Great food, friends, local art, and the green chili on the burritos is an awesome start to the day, wine and tapas at night after work, great patio , dog friendly, and most of all relaxed.

Had a frozen soggy burrito in some watered sauce. Waitress was incompetent. Ive never felt the need to give this bad of a review. McDonalds breakfast burrito would have been better

Great, large patio to sit for morning coffee or evening drinks! Love the paninis. Music on certain evenings and always busy. Dogs are allowed on patio too. Great local spot.
