Overall, very good sandwich, although that is to be expected for an $11 sandwich and it by no means blew me away. The service here was friendly, but moved at a glacial pace. There was one customer in front of me with a simple order and my overall in/out time took over 20 minutes. I did a to go order as there was really no place to sit other than an interior bench and two standing tables. I would give them a break on the timing considering it is a relatively new restaurant, and the space is small so its understandable that seating is limited. My last peeve is the check out process. After waiting 20 minutes for a simple turkey sandwich, they present you with an interface that encourages you to leave one of three different tip options, with 18% being the lowest and mid 20s as the highest. I just think its ridiculous they try to push you towards 18% (at the low end) when a 10% tip is probably sufficient for a sandwich (most sandwich shops dont even do credit card tips). If you purchase a drink and chips you are looking at around a $3+ tip for ordering a "to go" sandwich (not a high end dining experience by any stretch of the imagination). You dont have to leave a tip, but its still a cheap ploy to pressure people into making a quick decision. I always provide a tip when I am satisfied with the service, but the expectation for an 18% + tip is unwarranted.

In town visiting relatives, we stopped in at the City & Country Deli for lunch. We were impressed by their old-fashioned décor with cute overhead lamps made from colanders turned upside-down. The fellows behind the counter were friendly and helpful. After much discussion over which of the tempting sandwiches to order, we decided to share the Store Clerk. It was a delicious carved Roast Turkey with Swiss on Rosemary Potato Bread with Chardonnay Dijon. The turkey was tender, flavorful and so generously portioned that Im not sure how one person could manage to eat it all in one sitting! We also tried the yummy Housemade Potato Chips and enjoyed two bottles of soda from their old-time refrigerator, a Colorado Cola and a Pikes Peak Prickly Pear, highly recommended. Our relatives ordered the Assembly Worker, corned beef with havarti and smoked cabbage and the Plow Hand, molasses ham on 7 grain bread with smoked cheddar and bourbon mustard. Both big hits! If you havent tried it yet, GO! You wont be disappointed! Well be back!!

We moved to the neighborhood a few months back, and found this place about a month ago. Ive been back three times. Great techniques for curing and preparing deli meats that come out beautifully on a fantastic sandwich selection, full of flavor and satisfying portions. The emphasis on house-made mustards comes through with spice and zest. Mustard potato salad is a great side and so is the coleslaw. I cant find anything bad to say!

The meats are the highlight of this sandwich shop!! Crazy delicious pastermi, bacon, lamb bacon, mortadella, sausages, and my favorite the corned beef on rye aka "Assembly Worker". Have tried all of the signature sandwiches + grilled some of their sausages at home... a must to eat at! Note there is no real seating there as it is a deli but harvard gulch park is a short 3 block walk away.

Um, Bison Green Chili sausage? Yes please! Oh, did you say Blueberry Venison breakfast sausage? Yea Ill take that as well! If youre in the area and want a quality meat selection with a great friendly staff be sure to check these guys out. You can also grab some good BBQ next door at their other restaurant the Roaming Buffalo. Youll be glad you did!

It pains me to give these owners such a low rating but Im getting fed up with their inability to trust other staff to run their restaurants when they arent there. This and Roaming are probably the best restaurants near my home and I never get to eat at either because I work downtown. How about you get some normal hours?

City and Country Deli is a great new restaurant. Not only are the staff helpful and friendly, but the food is super tasty. We tried three of the sandwiches for dinner last week, and used the applewood bacon for our BBQ burgers last weekend! Everything was scrumptious!

Highly recommend! Great variety of deli meats and sausages. Love the selection of pickles, pickled veggies and specialty mustards. Having a deli like this is long overdue in our neighborhood.

Good place to get some handmade sausages. I never buy packaged stuff at the grocery and enjoy getting them here. Good deli sandwiches for lunch as well, and handmade mustards and pickles too.

Fantastic Deli! Great atmosphere, and the staff is super friendly. The Business Man sandwich is killer! Very fresh. And I took home some Spicy Italian sausages, which were yummy too.
