My best friend and I decided to go out on the town after his plane had a overnight layover. we made our rounds and eventually made it to brothers around 1030 on 4/19/14. when we arrived my friend who is Puerto Rican has long curly hair and is quite the tennis player he was wearing a white v neck puma shirt and headband. at entry he was asked to take off his head band and tuck in his silver cross necklace. We were definitely put off but not entirely turned off and decided to stay awhile. We made it to the bar and got a drink after that headed out back to enjoy the fire pit and nice weather. A Brothers bouncer came up and told my buddy he had to leave because they didnt allow white Tees. I pointed to at least four white patrons with white tees and asked what about them? He blew up and said the dress code was posted and yanked the brand new beer I bought out of my hands and told me to leave they were assholes and absolutely racist I myself am a white guy but was raised in a border town in New Mexico ive experienced a little racism in my life but not like this my friend had a target on his back and will never feel comfortable there again.

I went later in the evening, after 10pm on a week night with my parents and a few friends. Our waiter started with suggesting a shot for my mom called a "Canadian P***y". Vulgar and not appropriate at all, especially in front of a woman. The bar was pretty much empty and yet service was extremely slow (which Ive done to expect), and we had to ask for things multiple times because our waiter would just disappear. It was quite obvious that he had checked out for the night. He brought us a round we didnt ask for. Then, he dropped the water cups (we had asked for water about 15 minute prior) on the floor and proceeded to serve us the same cups. Ive been here many times and I can always anticipate the lousy service and I shrug it off because I can forgive a lot of things, but serving water in dirty cups....I will not be back, and I will heed a warning to everyone I know. Please dont waste your money on this establishment. Im only giving it a star so that I can write this review.

I am a Tour Manager that was going to make a reservation for The Crew, The Band and our roadie crew but our Friends from the Band "FILTER" were denied SERVICE because of members having VISIBLE TATTOOS. IF THAT ISNT BAD ENOUGH THEY DONT SERVE VETERANS WHO DON THEIR DOG TAGS! All MILITARY AND ANYONE WITH A VISIBLE TATTOO WILL BE THROWN OUT. TO THE OWNER: why are you not addressing the problem, youre probably already in debt as all your Reviews are one Star and youre DISCRIMINATING? Its only a matter of time until you go bust.. Have you ever heard From a successful business that "the customer is always right!" BOYCOTT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Please respond to this immediately, or actually wait till my Lawyer walks in there from the ACLU and the Better Business Bureau. I will enjoy watching your business GO DOWN!

I usually like this place, I would go a few times a week when I lived in Ballpark. The food is not great, but they serve late which is nice when you are drinking with friends. I wear a religious necklace given to me by my grandparents, and havent taken it off in 10 years, never had a problem there. Last night I wasnt aloud in because of it. I was told that because I was a guy I couldnt wear a necklace. I was with a group of people and we all had to go somewhere else. I find this rule to be straight discrimination. I wear the necklace under my shirt and it is barely visible. It isnt to make a statement, or even for fashion. Now I can never go back to this bar, and I think rules like this that are both sexist and discriminatory reflects on the character of the place.

DO NOT GO HERE!! There are several bars in LoDo that wont let me in because I have visible tattoos (which is disgusting and outrageous, not to mention discriminatory) my girlfriend and I went to Brothers and sat at the bar with no opposition at 5pm on a Wednesday. The bartender actively ignored is until she got the bouncers attention at which time he told me "youll have to leave we dont serve people with neck tattoos" I demanded to see the manager to which he said the same thing. And then patronized us by saying we could stay for A drink if we wanted. I cant believe that in 2015 I cant get served because I have tattoos. If you are thinking of going here walk a block in any direction and I guarantee you will find a better and less discriminatory bar.

Went to meet up with some friends at Brothers, was stopped prior to walking in due to the fact I had a white shirt on with small logo. Was told my shirt was gang affiliated and was asked to leave. When I asked what kind of shirt I could wear on my way back out the "bouncer" signaled over to an officer who grabbed me along with the bouncer who took me outside where I was harassed and asked for my I.D. ; I am not a confrontational person nor was I drinking prior to my entrance. Instead of meeting my friends and my date, I started off my night being lectured by the police in front of my work colleagues. There are plenty of other great bars in Denver I will not be back.

Love brothers bar especially on Thursdays good drink specials. Came one Thursday and just couldnt get over how rude the 2 lady bar tenders were. No eye contact and hardly a thank you from them. Was so upset we ended up going somewhere else. Went back the next Thursday same bar tenders and same rudeness! Cant believe their lack of customer service as they do work for tips rite!? Over all brothers is a nice place to hang and get a drink but I wont be going back if I see these bar tenders working! One blonde and one brunette bar tender ladies you know who you are you need to step up your customer service skills!
