This was my first time . . . Very disappointed. Got the rib combo. . Both types of ribs, only one side, and for 17 dollars. Okay, thats fair for Good BBQ. Instead I got rubber though. 6 little, definitely microwaved rubber ribs for 17 dollars. Plus a tiny little cup of potatoes. The potatoes were the best, and they were nothing special. I really hate to be that guy, sounding so negative on a review. But damn. . The people were super duper friendly. But really bad at serving, they continued to offer us drinks with half full beers. But when our food Finally came and beers were empty. It took another 25 minutes just to get their attention for a check. I think once the food came they sensed we were disappointed and didnt want to come over. Took forever for our food. Then this is what we get. Friendly staff, but really just a place waiting to be turned over. I would recommend going to rib city before you go here, not the best but at least their edible. Oh and way less expensive.

As a native of Austin, TX, I can honestly say this is this best bar-b-que Ive had in Denver. Quality, care, and attention goes into all of the meats and the result is an unbeatable smoked flavor. The menu has a plethora of classic bar-b-que plates youve come to expect, in addition to unique and creative meals you wont find anywhere else. With friendly service, reasonable prices, and cold beer, its hard not to come back most nights of the week. 2017 Update: No longer serve one of their best menu items, the pulled pork nachos. Service has become atrocious; while the food has a chance to be the best, it also can be the worst, kind of a toss up now which is a damn shame. Honestly cannot locate an honest to God decent bar b que place in all of Denver metro.

My husband got the brisket platter and it was pure fat. I got the brisket philly with pasta salad and it was bone dry, very little cheese, and the pasta salad was macaroni salad (I have been a server and there is a difference). When the waitress finally came back my husband was barely able to say something about his plate when she grabbed it and left before I could address the issue with mine. She brought his back with the a new piece of meat on top of his old plate. She never came back to our table again until it was time to pay. They are definitely over priced; I was looking at the ribs and they wanted $24 for 3 ribs and 2 sides. Nothing came with BBQ sauce on it and what was on the table tasted like ketchup. Rib City is way better and way cheaper.

Went in this evening because it was our favorite local BBQ joint. Walked in and sat down with the kids, but got nothing more than a hey hows it going by one of the servers. We sat there for 15-20 minutes with no other contact from the enployees, and finally decided to leave. They had served other guest who showed up after us, and still said nothing as we walked out the door. This place used to be one of our favorite places to bring the kids especially because we live so close, but just within the past few months the service and food have gone way down. We are now enjoying our family meal at B- dubs and will not be back into the Hogback bbq.

I reviewed this restaurant several weeks ago with the highest of praise. But after my most recent visit a few days ago, never again. I dont know if its a recent change in staff or change in atmosphere, but my experience was terrible. The server that was assigned my table came to deliver our food and the overwhelming smell of pot was the first thing I smelled, not the food. The food itself was tasteless and tough. And the owner/manager, whatever he was in charge was extremely rude. Not to my table, but to the staff. And that made it very uncomfortable to be there. Needless to say, we got out of there quickly. Avoid at all possible!

Not professionally managed in the slightest. Phones arent answered, messages arent received, and good customer service isnt provided. Having good food and an adequate menu will only get you so far; if you cant learn cater to the individuals attempting to spend their money and time at your establishment, we will find other restaurants that will (there are a couple other in the Denver area, one or two...). If customers call seeking information, it is best to answer or at least return their calls in a timely manner. Another restaurant settling for mediocre performance.

Had the Brisket, Pulled Pork, and the BBQ Half Chicken. The pulled pork was quite good, the brisket was better, and where they really shone was the chicken. It was so juicy and flavorful. Mesquite and original bbq sauces were my favorite. Cornbread was super good. And the green beans with big bacon chunks were some of the best Ive had. Will be going back.

By far the best BBQ Ive had in a long time, I think I will have to make the two hour trip every couple of months to get my fix. The services was good even considering how busy this place gets, I can totally understand why they are super busy the food is delicious. Yum! I love the wide variety of sauces as well.

Not very good. My wife gave one shake to the bbq sauce bottle and if started to bubble up out of the bottle like it was fermented. The cardboard beer holders used for condiments are filthy and the food was so so. Lot of waiting for service and to even pay. Son didnt like the French fries.

Awful BBQ, seriously the worst Ive ever had. Dont waste your money, there is much better bbq out there. Undercooked ribs, brisket that tasted a day or two old, no flavor pulled pork or chicken, sides that tasted bleh. Very disappointed.

Poor service, over priced, Tap beer $4.50 (?) the quality doesnt meet the price. Nice try, will not re visit, food is sub par for the price and the content, employees are less then qualified to sell the questionable value. skip this venue.

This place is excellent! Some of the best brisket Ive ever had, and the sauce was on point. My wife and I are moving in literally around the block, and we will definitely be regular customers. Keep up the great work!

Wasnt horrible food but wasnt great for the price really didnt feel like the brisket had much flavor and was only 2 slices of brisket on a huge bun. Rib city is just as good or better and half the price

The food is OK. Brisket is one of the better options. Ribs are often overcooked. Every time Ive gone since the new owners took over service had been very slow. It shouldnt take an hour to get your food.
