If you want to take your dog out to eat with you, there are plenty of restaurants in town with dog friendly patios. Id recommend finding one of them instead. My review is long, but Ill tell you exactly why I feel this way. I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately if felt like the idea of having your dog with you was tacked on as an afterthought, instead of being the whole premise. Im going to be honest and hope that Pub Dog takes it as constructive criticism. The food was overpriced for what you get, both quality and portion, but thats not what made me give it a poor rating. - There was no planning for any of the logistics of having dogs inside with you. Both the indoor and outdoor dining areas were cramped and didnt take into account the fact there would be dogs laying next to all the tables. Very difficult to move around in. Im also surprised they didnt have leash anchors anywhere in the restaurant. When you get up to order or get your food, you either have to have someone hold your dogs leash or bring them with you to the counter. That wouldnt be a problem if the counter wasnt also in a high traffic area. The line stacks up right by the only door to outside. And navigating the cramped space with your dog is annoying. - Filling your dogs water bowl is a pain. Its hard to get something so easy so wrong. On the outdoor patio there is a plastic food service tub filled with ice water, and you fill the bowls from that. Why not have a faucet with a tap handle? If the water in the tub is low then you cant just dip the bowl in, you have to pick it up and pour it into the bowl. Doesnt seem like a big deal, but its so simple to get that right. - THERE ARE NO DOUBLE GATES ANYWHERE. This is a huge oversight, and turns into a safety issue. Dogs escaped the off leash area and ran around the dining areas on 3 separate occasions while we were there. They had to be chased down by the owners or grabbed by other customers. The gate from the outdoor dining area to the parking lot is also a single gate. All you need is for a dog to escape the off leash area the same time someone is leaving or coming in, and now you have a loose dog around cars. This needs to be fixed. - There is ZERO shade in the off leash area. Thats totally unacceptable, especially on a hot day. Its honestly bordering on negligent. If Pub Dog was an animal care facility, this is literally something theyd get written up for (as well as the lack of double gates). You cant easily bring your dogs inside or the leashed area with umbrellas either. Youre supposed to be with your dog at all times, but theres not much seating in the off leash area, and if the regular patio is full, then you have to sit inside. Which is already cramped even if its empty. All of these oversights made for a pretty bad experience. As an animal lover and animal care professional, I was almost insulted by how little thought it seemed they put into this. I understand that working around the health code was a chore in its own right and required some creative thinking. The only thing that was nice about this place was the concept. I might be willing to try it again once the larger off leash area is completed, but as it stands Im actively telling people to avoid it. Especially without any shade or double gates. Seriously guys.

Nice to take the dog with you, but expensive for the quality and quantity of food. The bill was over $20 for two sandwiches (a BLTA and a Club) and no drinks. The sandwiches were made on Texas Toast and came with a small side. The ingredients were good, but the sandwiches didnt justify a price over $10 each. The restaurant is setup adequately for dogs. A prior review mentioned a number of drawbacks, but the owners addressed most of these. For example, they added shade tarps over the whole off leash area as well as the outdoor seating area. It was a hot, sunny day and the tarp and umbrellas mitigated the hot sun. They added tie downs at the tables to keep your dog restrained. However, the loops are small so bring a way to attach your leash such as a carabiner. The single gate is still a problem, since dogs like to "escape" by drafting behind a person using the gate. Several dogs "escaped" from the off leash area to the outdoor seating. The most important gate to address is the one to the parking lot and hence the street.

The inside area for dog patrons and their owners is small and the acoustics are pretty rough. If you have a reactive dog, this is not your spot. Dogs greet one another and lounge about in close quarters. Excited for the weather to get nice again; the outside patio looks incredible. Tables are spaced nicely with umbrellas to shield the sun. I can see drinking cold beer with delicious appetizers, friends, and our happy pooches. Mixed reviews on the food thus far. The feisty feta dip is terrific: spicy, garlicky, satisfying. They give you a nice big helping - served in a little dog bowl - with warm pita. Worth the price. The pizzas are $9 and small; theyre made on flatbread. Not worth the price. Would love to see them use actual pizza dough or something that felt a more upscale or substantial. The sandwiches are standard, like something youd make at home. They come with a bag of chips. Great selection of beer. Restaurant leads to patio and mini dog park. Ill be back again.

Four paws up! The management has thought of everything in making this a fun place for dogs and humans. Our dog especially enjoyed the artificial grass play area, which even has a sail for shade and dog toys. Water sources and bowls for dogs are plentiful, and you have various options on where to sit with your furry buddy. We really liked that there is shade available for everyone, and providing bottled water and cups for people outside also is a great idea. Its also cute that food (for humans) is served in dog bowls and there are menu options for dogs available, too. While the menu is varied for food and drinks, the food overall was just o.k. and somewhat overpriced. A pizza consisted of some toppings on what appeared to be pre-packaged flatbread, and you cant get french fries with a burger or sandwich. Overall, though, its a great place to bring your dog and enjoy some snacks and drinks while they play.

Really neat idea, we enjoyed bringing our pup and being able to let her run around with the other dogs while we sat and ate in the park area outside. The inside dog-friendly eating area is small, so your dog would probably have to be pretty well behaved and calm. You walk up to the counter to order your food and beer/wine. We got a meat lovers pizza and a mozzerela moons appetizer. The appetizer was great, but not very much food for the price ($8 for a round fried mozzarela slice cut in half). The pizza wasnt great for the price and portion (personal size-ish on pita for $12). Overall the concept is wonderful and its great someone did this! The food portions/quality/and menu selection could use some work though.
