Word of warning - Wednesday night is half-price wine night, and if you want to come here for something BESIDES wine, dont even bother walking through the door. Hubby and I were enchanted by the building, the decor, and the menu - so we made a reservation for our anniversary dinner to celebrate at 2 South. When I called to make the reservation, the person who answered the phone did ask and so we did TELL them it was for our anniversary. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were shown to the worlds teeniest, tiniest, most awkward table - in the bar, even though we had a reservation. We were crammed in a victorian parlor with 20 other people and the restaurant bar, stools, tables, and chairs. The noise was insane - and since we were literally sitting in the doorway, the traffic and hustle and bustle was, too. It was extremely disappointing, frustrating, and above all else - not conducive to eating. By the time our server had come to our table three times - once to bring us water, then to take a drink order, and then to take an appetizer order (without actually producing anything yet) we were utterly miserable from the cacophony, movement, and crowd. Maybe well give them a shot another time, but we had to bow out of our hoped-for anniversary celebration. We just got up and left. Of course no one noticed or cared... We went to another restaurant (which youll find in my reviews portfolio) and literally had THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES.

Took my girlfriend here as a cool little date night surprise with no expectations outside of drinking wine and hanging out.. we were blown away. Santana (our server/bartender) helped us pick out our bottle of wine (half price on Wednesdays) and we were both really impressed with her knowledge and friendliness. As a side note, I am only 21 and have really only tasted wine out of bags, but my girlfriend knows her stuff and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere felt like I was just having a quiet evening with friends in an old Victorian style house, something I think fostered conversation amongst guests. We even got to meet one of the owners, Jerry. He spoke to us only briefly but I gotta say he was incredibly down to earth and friendly, just like his staff. Im not really much for writing reviews, but I had such an incredible experience I had to write this up. We will definitely be back soon.

Bottom line: Good spot for a date. Food was okay, wine was also okay, service was subpar. Im sure there are many great wine options, but Im not one for spending loads of money on really expensive wine that I dont appreciate more than a cheaper priced bottle/glass. I had a Sangria, which I would rate it 4/5 based on others Ive had or made. Food was smaller portions as expected, but it was really nothing spectacular. I had a seafood plate and cant even remember the details about it. We enjoyed a warm olive appetizer which seemed like it was just 7-9 olives in a small bowl that had been heated up. The best feature of this place is the atmosphere and the fact that it is a residence-turned-restaurant. I would go back, but I would probably check out other restaurants in the area first.

The wine I had there was great. However, the cheese and meat platter was not to the standard Im used to. There was really nothing that stood out. Also, the plating could have been executed much better. It wasnt busy when we came in. Also, they have crammed way to much seating into the the cozy bar. We had to move the table ourselves after they had filled up the bar behind us to reach the table that was set up against the far south wall. Staff was friendly. However, once the waitress had delivered our appitizer and my first glass of wine I felt forgotten. I had to glad the chef down to order my second glass of wine. Thank God he was helping! So I would have to say all in all that I will not be returning here as I was not impressed.

The atmosphere was great - a choice of intimate inside dining or cozy patio dining. A great place to get out-of-the-box cuisine - from appetizers, small plates or larger portioned meals, or indulge in a wood-fired pizza. They have limited bar and dessert menus, but they clearly embrace loyalty to locally grown/made items (a plus!) I would love to return for their "Sunday Night Dinner," although I hesitate based on their lack of vegetarian fare and the overall expense.

The food is outstanding, near a five-star experience. The drinks, however, are a different story. I ordered a Makers Mark Manhattan. it came in a small pear-shaped glass with an ice cube. Although I didnt ask for the ice, if it were not there, the liquid would have barely covered the bottom of the glass. I told our server, Becky, that that was the skimpiest Manhattan Ive ever had, and her reply: Was it good? Yes, it was, both sips. At $12 per, I passed on a second.

I absolutely recommend this local restaurant for the ambiance and creative menu. The owner is very friendly and youll probably get a chance to meet him during dinner. 2 south also has an excellent wine list-I usually come away with ideas for bottles to look for. Their menu features very creative plates that you wont find anywhere else in the Springs.

Ive only had a few aps there but enjoyed them. Very cute atmosphere. The last time I went they were out of about 5 different wines we asked for.........? I feel that 2 of 4 wait staff I have encountered have had a bit of a crusty attitude but since I keep arriving not long before closing time, I am going to be understanding about that and go back!

We love the on- tap wines( yes they have wine on tap and its awesome) and beer here. The service is always impeccable. They have a large patio with plenty of space to sit outside. They are dog friendly and cater to your pup with fresh water in a bowl. The sausage platter is great as an appetizer. We are never disappointed.

Just an okay establishment all around. The atmosphere and location are fun and its a cute spot for a date, but the food and service are mediocre. The patio is nice in the summer but indoor seating is cramped and a little awkward. Also, youll be served warm tap water in a tiny bottle to share -- just so youre prepared.

Very yummy food, everything locally sourced. Service can be a bit slow, but food is so delicious its worth it. Food + Wine Bar is amazing. Truffle chicken dish is my favorite! Burger is also amazing. Prices are very reasonable for the quality food you are getting.

Had a graduation dinner here and did not appreciate our waitress giving our pregnant friend an alcoholic drink after specifically asking her for a non-alcoholic drink. Also, my friend found a tack in his food. Such a disappointment.
