Emerald Isle = AWFUL. Place is a dump. I had really been wanting to try this restaurant because I like supporting the local businesses and heard that they had a great patio. Went on Saturday night to try it out with a group of friends (6 of us total). Walked in and was blatantly ignored by the bartender and waitstaff walking past me - stood there for a minute or so before the grumpy bartender finally yelled in my direction, "We are full on the patio". They didnt ask how many people were in my party, or even say HELLO. I asked if I could wait and she said to sit wherever and they would figure something out (no waiting list?). Luckily, we were able to get seated on the patio after only a short wait - but the service continued to go downhill. There were multiple open tables on the patio despite being told they were full. We were ignored by our server, it took forever to get a drink and order appetizers (not to mention the wait to get our appetizers - chips & salsa - how hard can that be to whip up?), we had to flag down the waitress to order food. Our waitress was super annoyed, rude, forgetful, and to be honest, seemed a little drunk?! You would have thought she would have liked us because we were ordering LOTS of pitchers of beer, appetizers, food - ie. Spending A LOT of money. All of the staff had a scowl on their face and looked to really hate their job. The food took over an hour was bland - we worried for a bit that our order didnt even get placed. The waitress blamed the kitchen for the delay - real nice! It wasnt even that busy to be that backed up. It was nice to sit outside but the view wasnt that great, the parking situation is poor, the restaurant is dirty, the waitstaff has a bad attitude, the bathrooms were disgusting... To be honest, Im surprised that people actually go back to this place? If I want to drop a lot of money on beer/food and sit on a patio - it wont be at Emerald Isle! Yuck!

Not my favorite place by a long shot. In fact, its not even close to my favorite place. Sure, the patio has a nice view and in the spring/summer/fall can be a pleasant place to while away the hours, but why? In my experience, the food is typical "bar food." That is to say, the food seems microwaved and of the poorest quality. Maybe Ive just had bad experiences there or maybe Im a food snob. Either way, I dont know anyone who goes there to eat the food. Okay, maybe the nachos are okay, but really, who messes up nachos? As for the libations ... well, theyre not that good. Your beer options are pretty much Coors and other large scale options. Your liquor options are your basics: Jim, Jack, Jose, etc. Emerald Isle just isnt the kind of place that youre going to find variety or options. The inside bar is small - one might say "cozy," which leaves very little room for their live bands or large parties during the cooler months. During certain seasons the majority of the crowd are motorcycle riders, so if thats not your crowd chances are you wont have fun there, either. I once witnessed a fight there and thinking the bouncer was tossing a guy out (for some reason I didnt catch) I was corrected by the bartender. Apparently a regular took it upon himself to knock a guy over and drag him out the front door. Again, I didnt catch what sparked it, but I havent been back since. But, if youre looking for a nice hole-in-the-wall without all the hipsters commenting on their pale ales and find yourself on this side of town, the Emerald Isle might be the place for you.

We had a great experience at this place. Went there yesterday evening and loved the great view from the deck but is was too hot so Lisa took us to a table inside and told us that she would be glad to move out food to the outdoors anytime we wished. We orderered the Enchilda Trio, Mexican Burger and Lupe burger ($10 each). My Lupe burger was cooked perfectly and honestly, I have never had a better one since I move to CO ( 15 years). I tried my wifes enchiladas not expecting much luck but was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and great taste I never tasted my friends Mexican burger because she was eating with so much gusto that I did not want to interfere. Lisa later found us a table outdoor and yes, it takes a while to get your drinks but remember that on Sat night it gets pretty crazy in most places and the servers can only do so much. We are older and the band was heavy metal but hell, we might be old but dont really care to hear "New York New York all night yet. A great band, Lisa was vivacious and very friendly and the food was great for the price. Will go back soon.

This place changed management and staff approx a year ago. It was once one of the best places ever to entertain potential clients and hang out with friends, It had a great staff that really catered to you and made every one feel comfortable, creating a great atmosphere to really let loose and have fun. Ive been going here for over 20 years and I gave the new Manager and staff a good chance to get it together. It is now some of the worst service I have ever seen. wow ! what a turn around in just one year 100% turn around. I would never bring a friend or potential client here again. Hope they turn this around, it was once a great place to hang out and entertain.

My family has been coming to this bar since I was a kid, and it wasnt until I was much older that I realized why: the margaritas and the view. The food is fine, its nothing special but not unappetizing in any way. Now that I work nearby it is often a favorite choice for going out on Fridays after work; they have a great happy hour and the view of Cherry Creek State Park is great if you can find a spot on the patio. There are definitely fancier places nearby, but if you want a great after-work spot with good food and drinks this place is perfect!

Horrible place, I have been going to the Isle for over 20 years while living in Aurora, CO and I cant tell what has happened to this place, the staff will let you sit there for 45 min before they will wait on you, the food is absolutely disgusting when it finally arrived. I in fact wanted to have my husbands 70th birthday party there and called 3 times to speak to the manager about the celebration and never had my call returned. Well I would say I was very lucky indeed. STAY AWAY for the restaurant, only go to the bar for a quick beverage.

I had been here a couple of times. Before the new owner took over the food and service was bad. The new owner took charge and made this place a whole lot better. Food is better and the staff makes you feel at home. To top it all off the view is amazing. For all those that had a bad experience here I would recommend giving this place a second chance. You can always count on the owner Mel taking care of you. Hope to see you guys here.
