At first I wasnt sure about this place. It was new and one of their signature sandwiches was The Godmother. Now for anyone that loves sandwiches, when you hear The Godmother you think of Bay Cites. Stranger is that the parts are very similar and honestly this threw me off. But when it came down to it, this place is different and has its own feel. With sandwiches named after the places in the neighborhood -- The Viper Room (roast beef in BBQ sauce), The Roxy ( cheese, avocado and veggies), The Key Club (turkey, bacon, avocado) and my favorite The Whiskey (triple layers of turkey, ham and roast beef with swiss cheese). Now that they are settled, they have other sandwiches aside from these and the standards. You should know that all of the meats are Boars Head so know that you will be paying a bit more but its worth it. Also the sizes of the sandwiches are substantial so be OK with a regular. Really -- dont hurt yourself trying to be a tough guy. Give this place a shot and you will not be disappointed. The crew there is like a family and treats you as one of their brood.

This is a great deli with a variety of different sandwiches to choose from or design your own. Both the owner and the gentleman making our sandwiches this morning were super helpful, friendly and kind. Boars head was the reason we stopped here we would certainly recommend this little place to anyone looking for a deli. Only regret, we are just visiting the area and wont be able to keep returning... thanks

Great sandwhiches, Specially the Godmother the size is amazing for the price you get. The freshness, the size, the sandwhich if you like real traditional deli sandwhiches this is the place for you! I love the food and the people and mostly its family owned you can expect me at least 3 times a week! Thank god for sunset deli its the place we all have been waiting for! cya subway

Better than subway for sure! Personally I like Bay Cities or All About the Bread, so the bar is set pretty high. That said, the bread was fresh, excellent meat, and the sandwich overall was very tasty (simple turkey with the works). I suggest the owner should wrap sandwiches in butcher paper rather than give me a whole styrofoam box to hold my sammich.

I work in a building next door and go there like 4 times per week, litterally have never gone back to subway since they opened several months ago.... great people, price, quality, nothing bad to say about this joint....get there and you will see what I mean..

Great value if you want a big sandwich for lunch. Much higher quality meat and bread than the chain sub makers for reasonable prices in this part of town. Wish they were open later.
