While traveling through Watsonville, stopped to grab bite for dinner at this centrally located Burger King last Sunday night. Staff took our order without a problem. However, as we walked away from counter to the beverage counter... our shoes kept sticking to the floor. Figured it was due to spilled soft drinks--just at the beverage counter. NOT. The entire floor was sticky as heck, as we walked around to looking for a CLEAN table or booth. My pricey broiled tenderloin chicken sandwich was a bit slimey and very mushy. I went up to the counter and spoke to the "person in charge", aka Maurey. He listened to my comments and was very blasé. No explanation or apologies were offered --at which point, I commented on the sticky floor. Maureys reply: "oh... its probably spilled soda thats making the floor sticky". My response: "Why dont you CLEAN it? ... The floor is not only sticky in front of the beverage counter but all over the restaurant". Maury made NO comment. I went back to my table disgusted at the lack of response (and responsibility) and picked over my sandwich which was horribly soggy, due to the nasty buns served at this particular restaurant. This definitely was NOT the average American hamburger bun; it looked like the type of bread that is sold at ethnic bakeries. To add insult to injury, a young filthy and drunk male had come into the restaurant and was stopping at tables where customers were trying to eat. He came and sat down at our table, right across from us and started to beg. I looked up at the service counter and ALL 7-8 staff persons were bustling back and forth, without even glancing at the customers who were eating at the tables. I felt I was in a 3rd world country: oblivious management, awful food, filthy and uncared for place--which left me with a queasy and upset stomach. It is obvious that the local Department of Health is either blind or uncaring.

Descent standard fastfood for a Burger King restaurant. Situated in the rougher area of Watsonville near the Pajaro River levee, you may encounter some transients. Someone might hit you up for pocketchange in the parking lot on occasion, but it is still a reasonably safe place to have sit-down meal. However, if you were raised in a privileged and sheltered community and feel uncomfortable around working class citizens or ethnic minorities, it may not be the ideal place for you. You might instead opt to use the drive-thru.

Several times we have gone here for dinner the service was poor. As well as the food was cold or had been sitting there for awhile. Their milkshake machine apparently does not work ( and has not for some time now). And when the order was incorrect we were asked to park and wait for the correction. Once we finally received are order and asked about a receipt we were told it was to late to get one.?!..

Really great service, good food. Only reason this isnt a 5 star is the ceiling speaker was blown and was distorting through our whole meal. Definitely one of the better BKs Ive been to.

Very dirty restaurant & unprofessional employees. Saw them handling food & touching money. with no gloves. Tables are always dirty looking. Better places to go then here to eat.
