Been doing reviews previously for several on line publications. Moved to Dixon and went right at it starting with Mexican food. In Vacaville, Ca., I was searching for the best cheese enchilada and sadly was down to two restaurants and one frozen entrée. Because of the reviews, I wanted to try Taqueria Adelena first, unfortunately, after parallel parking my F-100 without power steering, and no visible handicap parking, I finally approached the front door, which stated, "Sorry, Cash only". I cant remember spending cash at a restaurant unless it was a mango smoothie at Jack in the box. I went to second choice Alhelis, with ample parking, and a drive through. Alhelis saved the day - see my review there. Have to try Taqueria Adelena when I have dirty cash in my pocket. Hope they have wash basins. UPDATE: Finally had a twenty in my pocket, and stopped in at this restaurant during the lunch hour. NO ONE was there. I stood at the counter, got bored and read a menu. Had to use the restroom, took at least five minutes there, came back and still, no patrons and no workers! I waited a few more minutes and walked out. Who in the world is saying this is so good of a restaurant? It has to be friends and family, because this has been the second most useless trip to review Mexican Food that I can remember! They get no pity from me...shape up or quit the business people...that is unless your laundering money or the restaurant is a front for some other activity.

Im town for work and decided to stop by this "hole in the wall". Always the best finds in the smallest places. Very authentic and very good. Also cochinita pibil! Cant get any better. Also a very mom and pop Establishment. Freshly cooked so dont expect quick service and food, and yes only cash. Most small businesses only prefer cash so they get all the profit. So get off the credit and debit high horse and bring a $20 in to experience some great homemade food. Also whoever rated it one star and suggested its a front for illegal business because no one was attending the front, you are an idiot to put it politely. Enjoy the great food and support local small business!

Food was alright..... was mostly upset because prices were not updated at the time... Got to the register and was overcharged. Advertised prices on window were "old" said one of the workers. They refused to honor any listed prices. Not sure if they improved since the incident, but will never go back again.

Found this place using urban spoon. Doing the sac to sfo in laws run.got two chicken tacos. Straight forward shredded chicken minced onion and cilantro. Boy the green sauce made it jump. The red sauce spice and smoke.
