Easily some of the best Indian food in Solano County, with great service and authentic flavor. When my friend asked for his food to be spicy, they asked him, "American Spicy or Indian Spicy?". Indian spicy is not for the faint of heart! The main dishes are flavorful and rich, the pakora crisp and more savory than youd think vegetables were allowed to be, and the mango lassi is incredibly refreshing (and cheap!). A good selection of mild Indian beer here too, to complement the amazing gauntlet of flavors in their dishes. The service is absolutely outstanding in its own right, and my cup was never empty for long. The decor is a bit confusing at times, with oversized seats proclaiming "bienvenidos!" accompanied by pictures of various crustaceans on them. Meanwhile, a few TVs play a nonstop stream of Indian music videos and movies. Its simple, and it works. And the prices are great, especially considering the quality. The buffet is definitely worth checking out too. A superb local establishment worth supporting!

An Indian style buffett, serving lunch and dinner. Appears to be a family run operation, with strong ties to the local Indian community, based on a billboard they have in the restaurant and the interactions they have with the diners. The food is good, and though somewhat lacking variety, is extremely satisfying, considering the low price one pays for a meal here. The platters are restocked pretty rapidly and consistently. The reason I removed a star from my rating was based on a customer service issue I had, due to a couple of interactions with the waiter/clerk. His demeanor was rather abrasive and would try and hound myself and my fellow lunch-goers if we, "were done yet". Additionally, he seemed quite annoyed and glared at us when we asked to split the check. Otherwise I highly recommend this location!

My favorite Indian place in California. Excellent food, and I love relaxing and watching the Bollywood movies after Im too full to move. The owners son tells me that a "dhaba" is a sort of slightly sketchy-looking rural truck stop found throughout India. This place is a more or less faithful example of the archetype; a careworn building wedged into a remote, awkward strip of property between a major highway and a huge stretch of farmland where you can roll in for spectacular food in a comfortable, unpretentious setting. You can see it from I-80, but you probably wont notice it. Ive been coming here for years, and I miss it every time. Look for the derelict fruit stand. Its the little building next to it. If arent sure youre in the right place, youve found it.

My worst experience ever went with my family ordered dinner ... karahi chicken had hair init so I called a employee and asked to change, he went in kitchen came after 5 min telling me they can not replace, it will take more than 20 min because they are busy with dinner buffet. And lady in charge was so rude acting wired as if she was going to do a favour on me by replacing curry with hair. So sad people have attitude when they are at fault, I didnt ask her to compensate but just to replace that stupid curry which was served with hair in it

very nice location on i 80, close to Davis also. ample parking place. the food was very nice and typical indian spicy food. the people there are very nice. value for money. the tandoori chicken was good but not authentic, fish fry was good, many other dishes in chicken and vegetarian were very good. dont miss the gulab jamun!! items are not more it had about 11 main items then salad. nice place to go. but you need a car, i think no possibility of a public transit. good ambiance.

Only two things we liked was Garlic Naan and Shahi Paneer (although we had to find pieces of paneer out of the gravy, but the taste was good). Raita was mysteriously spicy. Dal makhani was bland. Gulab jaamun had a strange flavor to it. Kheer wasnt cooked well. Service could have been better. Indian food lovers would like to visit it, as the buffet has many options, and they would definitely like some of the food items if not all.

Did catering of around 50 people. Appetizers were undercooked. Paneer pakoda was a total joke. Yogurt was so sour like its been prepared weeks ago. Dessert(gajrela) had almost no milk product in it making it taste like just sweet carrot and nothing close to gajrela. I have never been to restaurant for food but my catering experience was horrible.

Punjabi Dhaba is on its way to become my favorite Indian restaurant in the Yolo/Solano area. I tried the samosa, lamb korma and garlic naan. The samosa were crispy and light. The lamb korma was tender and flavorful perfect to sop it up with their naan. Delicious food at a reasonable price, who can ask for more!

An alacarte meal is better than the buffet. Pretty good vegetarian choices. Generally, havent been that crowded, although I have only been here three times. The staff is nice and friendly. Food is little bit expensive, however, quality is really good! Definitely would go again next time driving through the area.

The first feeling you get when you see this place is like any typical dhaba in India. Excellent location right next to the highway. The food out here is quite authentic and is served piping hot. Plan to visit here once again soon and not just after a road trip. Completely worth going to just this place.

Have been here twice on my way back from Reno to San Jose. Yummy authentic punjabi dhaba style food. They have some items of fthe menu available. Ask for makkhe di roti and sarso da saag. Once the service wasnt that great and that took one star off of what otherwise would have been a 5 star rating

We have ordered samosa, biryani, bread basket and Curry. Biryani is not great. But bread basket tastes good. But no one came to us to take order for longer time and they made us wait a lot to get the food as well. We have even cancelled the drinks order, as they didnt bring drinks till the end.

Authentic Punjabi food!! This is top of my list now!! Had it been in bay area, it would be my dinner house!! Naans are super soft and it stays soft even after few minutes. Vegetarians can go crazy at this place! And the desserts are good too..

This was such a great hidden gem. The buffet was really high quality with naan added for free. My husband and I repeatedly mentioned how great our meal was and the service was great too! I plan on coming back next time were in the area.

I used to go into sacramento for indian food until the dhaba opened in Dixon. Everytime I go here I leave super full and happy. Great service, great food & resonable prices. They also have great catering! Just get into your car and go.

Visited for dinner. Great service, great communication, great food. I havent had better naans and gulaab jamuns ever! 4 starts coz wish the buffet for vegetarians to be a couple of dollars cheaper than the non-vegetarian buffet.
