Delicious! A neighborhood gem. The roasted chicken salad with dried cranberries, pecans, peaches or whatever fruit may be in season, mixed greens, is a go-to for many. The French Chicken sandwich is addictive, and the veggie hummus wrap is so good! Save room for their amazing key lime pie or yummy cookies. Hibiscus iced tea is so refreshing in summer. They even made my husbands birthday cake! Inside or patio dining, with a breeze & trees & railroad, shops nearby. Bring a book or a friend. Affordable and great service- everyone there is fun and will get to know you right away. Love!

My five cents. Early Sunday morning i was in old town Pasadena exploring the many hidden places that this city has. Any incredible urge I got for a latte and coffee cake. I googled The Best coffee cake in Pasadena, immediately Heirloom and bakery came-up as the most desirable for an intense breakfast and pastries. I was so happy coming here, the customer service is outstanding, food need I to say; definitely amazing ! In my perspective one the best places to have a beautiful breakfast.

I was unable to try their pastries since the business hours have changed. I arrived at the bakery around 4:30ish on Friday, just to be told they were closed for the day. They changed their schedule since February 2015. Its stated here that they were opened until 6pm. I went to the bakery across the way, Monarch bakery. I got their assorted cookies and they were the boom. Give them a try. I gave this place one star since I could not leave my comment without giving them a rating.

The food is freshly made with great flavor. I had the egg salad sandwich. Lots of egg cut into big chunks with a tasty dressing. The menu had a good variety of choices. I also had a hot chocolate which was great, wonderful flavor, my choice of milk, and served in a giant mug. The layout of the counter and dining room is tight and difficult to navigate. The order process isnt obvious and caused us some confusion

I told the front counter guy that I was a Vegetarian and he suggested a Salad. I said I dont really like to order salad when I am eating out and he said " well, youre at the wrong place". This same Asian server has a bit of a tude, I am not sure if hes the owner or if he is just like this. I felt a bit offended by his comments and decided we were just going to take our business elsewhere!

Breakfast burritos are awesome!! I usually go with the break of day w/sausage, and I always ask to get the hash browns well done (game changer), in order to get that extra crunch.. The service is generally pretty quick but the seating selection is slim.. The Heirloom Bakery & Cafe fresh, nothing ever tastes frozen! and I always make sure to wash it down with one of their delicious coffees.

South Pasadena = Anytown, USA. but I love it, especially this place for brunch. Everything is delicious, I dont even know where to begin. The breakfast sandwich is probably my favorite though, so much bacon, such good eggs and the bread!! Oh their bread is amazing. Nice outdoor seating and then you can walk around south pas after, look at some vintage shops, get ice cream or cupcakes.

Breakfast or Lunch.... friendly staff and they always get your food out quickly! Some of my favorite dishes are: For Breakfast... they make a killer oatmeal if thats your kind of thing.... or for lunch I enjoy the roastbeef sandwhich or their heirloom salad, but that is seasonal..... and if im lucky I will enjoy some key lime pie or a chocolate hostess looking cupcake YUMMMY! :)

I cant believe I havent posted a review for Heirloom. I have been going here for breakfast and lunch for 8 years now and it is still one of my favorite spots in the Pasadena Area. The staff is kind, the food is delicious, and the abiance is perfect. If you ever need to meet up for lunch with someone and dont have any idea where, choose heirloom.

We live in town and all four of us family members love it! We can walk, sit out side, meet friends who get off the Gold Line and have our dog on leash at the perimeter seating. The Asian Chicken Salad is delicious. It is one of the first places our girls want to head to when they come home from out of state. Another South Pasadena gem.

Food is always fresh, sandwiches are great but Ive always been slightly disappointed in their salads. Theyre always heavy with the lettuce and slim on the flavorful ingredients. My cobb was basically a lot of lettuce, tomato, a little bacon, a little of some other ingredients and a few cheese sightings here and there.

Really great lunch spot! I really like their salads here. Everything tastes fresh and its all at the right price. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Service is fast and friendly. Parking is on the street. You can also easily get here via the Gold Line: just get off at South Pasadena station and walk over.

A solid place for breakfast or lunch, conveniently located next to the South Pas. Metro Station. Lots of neat shops around, too. The food is good, the "hearty breakfast" should be avoided. Weird meal. Its like they took a burrito, unwrapped it and separated the contents onto a plate and give you toast.

We have gone here for breakfast almost everyday for two years now. The food and wait staff are wonderful, and there is such a community feel to the place. We have met several new friends there. Sallys cakes are to die for! Get the red velvet cake or the carrot cake.

Awesome coffee! one of the best coffees so far, I liked it so much that me and my wife started buying it from vendor online. that does not change the fact that we still go and enjoy the amazing pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Awesome people and superb food.

Very solid local favorite for many years. Menu doesnt change and is very small. But what lacks in varieties is more than made up by the consistency and friendly staff. Turkey meatloaf sandwich, salads and lemon tart are some of our favorites.

The food here never disappoints. This tiny place in South Pasadena has a menu that would put a 4-star hotel restaurant to shame. The croissants are the best Ive had anywhere. And their specials are creative and always delicious.

I frequent Heirloom because of its small town cafe feel and great food. There is something for everyone and the staff is so cheerful and friendly! The berry coffeecake and bread pudding french toast are definitely worth a trip!

I am a vegeterian, I recommend the caprese, press portabella mushroom with goat cheese and the breakfast sandwich with no salami instead I ask for avacado. I love this place, I drive some 20+ miles just to get here.

Seating is limited. They stop serving breakfast around 12ish. We wanted brunch, but they dont offer brunch which I thought was odd. The lunch sandwiches were ok. The baked goods were tasty. Friendly staff

Got the bacon avocado BLT and it was so good! It was also huge so I would recommend sharing it with someone. I also discovered that I like sourdough with bacon. Who would have thought?
