I will never be back to this location. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch. 1st of all what kind of manager tries to persuade me to NOT upsell "MY" drink. I asked the manager how much to make my shake a double. Instead of answering my question she says "I suggest you dont get that it over powers the shakE, youre just going to send it back" lol I didnt ask if it tasted good I wanted to know how much. She then makes my drink and its over a cup ( 8oz) left over in the Metal tin from my DOUBLE shake, Im paying for. Instead of giving me my whole $18 drink I paid for. (How do I know its over a cup?) she passed out a few FULL 4oz skoshes to people around the bar. So I paid for the shake, paid for my shot and THEN 4 a double shot and shes passing my drink around the bar, and tell people to try it. If you want to sample drinks for guest to try then do it on the restaurants expense & not ON the guest. She even tried to give my boyfriend some of my drink and I told her no. I didnt complain buh was hella aggravated. Then I ORDERED BAKED WINGS!!!! The menu clearly says baked. I cook baked wings and I eat at "LOVE BAKED WINGS by Mike Shand" on Melrose (food is amazing btw. Way better than this place) the wings had a charred flavor! The Charred flavor, hella over powered the dish. MY BF sent his back first. I tried mine to see if I liked it. Yea they sucked. The server that took over our table was agitated cause we both sent food back and explained to me how the food was cook (as if I asked) i said ok I didnt like it. Then the manager that passed out MY drink to the bar SO all the guest can have a good time on me...came over and told me how the wings were prepared. I told her I didnt ask anybody how its cooked, I eat baked wings all the time. I told her I didnt like em nothing more or less... server is getting attitude with me like she owns the company. She was not slammed with tables. She acted as if me liking the wings or not was gonna change the fact the restaurant pays her minimum wage. Bad service

This restaurant so cool. From the food to the wide selection of beer they have available. We stopped here today for brunch and Im so glad we did. As I mentioned earlier, they have a wide selection of beer all of which you can try because they offer $2 butcher sized glasses. Great idea. I decided to have the "Elvis" waffle and it was great. A waffle topped w/ peanut butter, whip cream, and chocolate syrup. This was probably one of the best waffles Ive had in a while. The way the peanut butter and chocolate syrup mixed made this feel like a dessert more than a breakfast dish. The service was also above average. Our waitress came and checked on us multiple times and never let too much time go w/o seeing how we were doing. I give this place two thumbs up and Ill gladly make more trips to the valley just to get another "Elvis" waffle. I would give this place a 5 star rating if it werent for the fly that was constantly bugging us at our table.

The Tipsy Cow! What a nice little find for an out of towner. I was looking for a spot to kill some time and found this place when the sun was going down on Ventura Boulevard. From the outside, it looks the part of your average gastropub local hipster place. When you walk in you immediately smell the fresh paint. The smell was unmistakably new. I asked the bartender and he confirmed that yes they had recently opened. On the he inside it was decorated very modern rustic. Very well done. Im a huge fan of pickles, and behind the bar for decorations are lots of jars of many different varieties of pickled veggies. I was bummed to find out that they dont even serve pickles there at all. This really was my only complaint at all. We tried a few apps and about 4 different beers. Everything tasted great, the bartender was pretty awesome too. If youre ever near Tipsy Cow I recommend you mosey on in and wet your whistle Until next time...

This place was yummy and I will definitely give it a 2nd try. We went on a prime time Friday night and while the place was very busy we had no issues getting a table on the patio - which we loved given how beautiful the night was. We ordered the wings and they were spicy yet very smokey. We both got burgers, and here is where I will caution you. Just, get what you want. I made all the wrong choices and I think i would have enjoyed my meal better if I had just given into the burgers I wanted but seemed too over the top. Next time Im just going for it. The burgers were cooked to perfection, juicy, and had proper seasoning. The fries were also really good - crispy and more shoe string style. I took home half of my fries and burger and had a great lunch the next day. If you dont like left overs be sure to share a fry. 1 is more than enough for two hungry people.

Been hearing about this place for a while so i went with a buddy to check it out. Went on a saturday afternoon and it was fairly crowded. Got sat down after an acceptable wait, but didnt get seen for about 15 mins. Took a minute for our drinks to come out as well. Menu looked exciting, Many burgers to choose from. After ordering the cuban burger, it took a while for our food to arrive, as well as replenishing our refills. Burger.. was overall DECENT. nothing spectacular. Portion was nice, but extremely difficult to eat. Overall OK place to eat and maybe grab a beer with a buddy if youre in the area. Wouldnt go out of my way for it.

I came here for happy hour. The Ventura Lemonade is vodka spiked vanilla lemonade, its ok. The vanilla adds an interesting flavor. The old fashioned is from a keg and not hand made. It was pretty bad, to much whiskey and it tasted like it had football in it. Deviled eggs were fantastic. White basil hummus came with lovely toasted bread but the hummus had way too much basil in it, and I love basil. Tacos were pretty good. You get two traditional Mexican tacos. The drive thru burger and shoe string fries are good. The adjustable stools at a bit unforgettable, sit at a booth or maybe outside.

What can I say it is close to my house. The bartender seems to like me and he is there everytime I go. A friend wanted a great burger. Two nights before I happened to want the same. I had a classic burger without onions. I could not believe that meat could be that good. Opps the bartender is back asking if I want another glass. Yep You bet. Why dont they have Happy Hour on Saturday. That I think all restaurants should adjust. You are not richer on Saturday then Monday quite the opposite. I digress. Is everyone im the film business of Ventura Blvd. Over all good time had by all.

I love their weekend brunch!! I always go here and introduce more ppl here as well.. Im not a fan of the customer service, well I take that back. cant speak for all employees, however there is a girl there that I get irritated w every time I go! Im really big on customer service and how if ur working, their is a way to talk to ppl. Like even if ur irritated w life dont talk to ppl like they did something wrong or even if they said something u didnt like, u gotta get past it and do what needs to be done to fix the problem.. Idk other than her! This place ROCKS!!
