This was the WORST dining experience Ive ever had. Went with husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandson, had reservation. When we arrived we were put at a table for 4 (two small tables pushed together) though two groups of 5 who arrived after us were seated on either side at tables for 6. I had to sit at the crack between the tables. Three of us ordered sandwiches, two salads, and we ordered a chicken liver mousse as well, which we all shared. 4 of the orders arrived in a fairly timely manner, but mine did not. In fact, it NEVER arrived! The waiter came by twice to ask what I had ordered and I told him, a big chagrined, and he disappeared, mumbling something about looking into it, and when that brought no results, we stopped two others and asked where my sandwich (chicken thigh) was - they also said theyd look into it and disappeared, literally. The group finished their meal, and I was left hungry, having only had a share of the chicken liver mousse. The waiter never checked to see whether Id been served, and we never saw a sign of the manager. No explanation or excuse or, god forbid, apology was ever offered to me. Part of the problem may have been that the arrogant waiter did not, apparently as a practice, write down the orders, but should have as his memory is clearly not terrific. We left after an hour because we had tickets to the movie down the street, and I never got my meal. I asked the woman at the entrance for the name of the manager because I intended to write a letter (which I did immediately when I got home) and she gave it to me reluctantly, asking me not to write it. NO apology from her either, just an argument about whether I should write the letter. Unbelievable. I will NEVER go there again. Reports of the 4 of us who did get served on the food were not glowing. The kale salad was nothing special and the sandwiches that did get to the table were just ok, though my grandson, usually famished, did not finish his. The WORST service Ive ever experienced.

F3 has a very nice atmosphere--cosmopolitan and certainly the "hipper" of all the Sausalito bar/restaurants. The tables and layout in the lower level are the place to be while the upper level is the go to location if you want it "slightly" less loud as this place is loud. Its usually full at peak hours and youll have to speak very loudly to have a conversation. Its not the music which is kept at a good level, it must be the building acoustics. On to the food. F3 says its "fast food" almost in a joking way but really, its a twist on comfort food--French style. The menu is actually a little narrow/shallow if you are in a "dinning" mood. The past few times I was there, we ordered numerous small plates that were very good. I think this is the way to go and maybe thats what is meant by the "fast food" angle. This time around I was a bit more hungry and with just one friend. He ordered the ribs and I ordered the burger. He complained about the ribs being bland but again, maybe he was preconditioned to how most places serve ribs. However, with that being said, if youve even had the ribs from Oola in San Francisco youll know how good ribs can be by breaking the mold. I had the burger and was indeed tasty and a bit different from your typical burger. Service is very good. No issues there. Always friendly, attentive and do try to communicate the menu with detail. My only recommendation is to set the proper expectation for your evening. If youre looking for a complete dinner, try the Buckeye or even down the road at Poggio. If youre willing to share numerous dishes, this is a great choice. Think of this place as more of a social scene combined with "French tapas" as smaller plates are the best way to order at Fast Food Francais.

My family loves a good hamburger and we discovered at Fast Food Francais the best hamburgers in the country. Were not making that declaration lightly and enjoy trying out hamburgers wherever we travel. We had never been to Sausalito before, and so we had never been to Fast Food Francais before. We didnt know about it until we walked by during a recent vacation. We were immediately seated for lunch and while looking over the menu the various hamburgers were described and house-recommended. The combination of fresh-baked roll, personally-sourced hamburger meat, and toppings, including the provencal sauce, made the hamburger sublime. There was no exaggeration that we would really enjoy our selection. Our two kids (pre-teen boys) were made to feel part of the team, were assigned nicknames and personal attention by the wait staff. As another highlight, we were shown the herb garden (including a plump lemon tree that our boys were encouraged to pick a treat from as we left) the restauranteurs cultivate in the restaurants backyard to supply their restaurant needs. We were greatly impressed by the personalized sourcing the restaurant maintains that extended firstly from their own backyard. We cant wait to return to relish Fast Food Francais again. Bravo!

My wife and I stopped here for dinner the day before Christmas eve after not having eaten since breakfast. They got good reviews and we love french food. The food was actually excellent. I got a burger and my wife the fish sandwich. However 20 minutes after we left we both started feeling sick. The only thing we shared was the aioli. By the time we got home I was throwing up. We ended up canceling our family Christmas eve plans as my wife and I were too sick to drive the next day. We have strong stomachs forged by eating strange food in strange countries so a little funk usually doesnt throw us off. We called and informed the manager of the restaurant who was nice on the phone about it and apologized. They said they would check with chef. I guess after spending $40 for two sandwiches and fries and getting really sick because of it we were hoping for more customer service then a sorry and a Ill check with the chef. Like I said...all nice folks, I just think when you mess up with customers you have the opportunity to make an even stronger relationship by providing value over and above expectation. However what we got was a hefty bill, a trip to the porcelain thrown and a sorry. We wont be back. I recommend skipping this place.

American fast food with a twist. The 1st thing I noticed was the ambience, pretty chill and fancy at the same time. They have a full bar and a good beer selections. Our waiter was with us within minutes to greet us and was nice. We ordered Chicken Melt - great tasting chicken "burger", kind of blta chicken sandwich but with different kind of seasoning and flavors that tasted pretty amazing. We also ordered an omelette, which comes with side of potatoes and tasted good. A classic American burger and an egg benedict. The burger was nice but the egg benedict could not have been any better. Probably the best one I have tried so far. Definitely a must try. The eggs were perfectly done. My only issue - Mojito was very weak and our glasses were a bit dirty - but our server replaced them as soon as we told him.
