Looking for lunch in the Inner Sunset can be a difficult task given the many selections on almost any street. My local friend suggested I check out King of Thai Noodles so I could compare some casual Thai food to the more formal experience most of us are used to. While theyre known for their noodle soups, I craved some power food so I ordered the pineapple fried rice. Full of chicken, shrimp, pineapple, and cashews, this medley was extremely satisfying on this chilly winter day. The portion size was also impressive for less than $9 too. Considering their late hours, large selection, reasonable prices, and casual attitude, its no wonder that This noodle house is king. There is something on the menu to satisfy every craving, all night long. Ok, well, everything but "that". Food: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 6/10

Ive been to several different locations but this one is the one that is the closest to my house. I like it, but the service is a bit sad at times. The restaurant is not that big and the table and chairs are cheap and often lopsided. I still come here to eat but I tend to get it to go since Im not a fan of the decor and my food is always done fairly quickly. The quality is consistent, and the food is really quiet tasty! I like the Phad Thai and the Panang Curry. I usually get both of those with chicken. Its not that expensive and you get a decent amount of food for the price. If youre looking for a place to take someone on a date, this may not be your best choice.

I normally do not get anything but the BBQ Pork Noodle soup and I always order take-out. Usually its good tasting, but the meat is usually on the "tight" side. Its not the best, but its convenient for me, and they do take web orders from Eat 24 (factor in the weekly promo and its a good deal). Parking is not always easy if you decide to come in to eat or order take-out. I have been coming in to pick up my order, but if you would rather not leave the house, they also offer delivery. If you make it in time for one of their delivery windows, it usually takes 15-20 mins to get your food (if you are near their location), otherwise, expect a longer wait.

People seem to love to hate on this location, but you cannot beat the value per flavor unit. Plus you can eat here until 1:30am--bonus star for this part of town! Stick with the noodle soups, pad kee mao, and the ultimate drunken food: fried chicken over fried rice. The inside is no frills, but youre not there for the ambiance. Take out here is also very brisk and you can watch the cooks get your food piping hot out of a giant wok and pack it ready to go. Service is passable, but Im not complaining when I squeak out of there stuffed for less than $10 with tip at 1am.

The food is really good. The soup but if youre trying to order over the phone and only speak English I suggest not ordering. I ordered a soup. I asked for no chicken in the soup. I asked for noodles in the soup instead of chicken. I got tofu in my soup. this is what happens when you live in a civilization full of short attention span ignorant nitwits who dont even speak the language of the country that they live in.

I took my family there for dinner, the atmosphere was great, casual. The service was excellent, attentive, without being fussy. We ordered 3 different kinds of noodle soup. My sons verdict was, "This is the best soup ever!" OK, hes 6, but I felt similarly -- hot, good, filling, great price. We enjoyed it, well go back.

Every time I go, the place is super clean despite how much people come and go. My favorite dish is the pumpkin curry! If you are not into spicy food you can ask for mild or not spicy curry. When ordering delivery, these guys have always been quick!

Great food and good prices. My go to is the fried chicken fried rice, but the lighter crab rice is good, too. Pad thai and pad see ew are tasty noodle dishes if rice isnt your thing. Dont expect a fancy setting. Its not that kind of place.

The pad thai is not authentic at all. You can basically taste the ketchup in it. Because of that, its not my first choice for Thai food. The Thai Ice Tea is good though but then again, how can you mess that up?

Another Thai place that I love. I dont usually like chains, but a chain just in the bay area, to me, is a sign that its just that good. Anything yellow curry is my favorite! Pad Thai is good here, too.

I think this is the original chain. Which would make sense. I love this King of Thai. Their noodles are perfect and the chicken are fried to perfection. I always order pad thai here. Worth the price!

Although service is not the greatest, the pad thai is my favorite here. King of thai gives good portions and is a bit pricey. Worth going again, and the waiters dont mind if youre a little loud.

One of the better restaurants on Taraval in Parkside area. Pretty quick, polite, friendly service at this local spot. Food doesnt wow me but decent. Good choice for a casual meal with friends.

Inexpensive and delicious. They make phenomenal xiaolong bao shanghai soup dumplings, and the handmade noodle soups are to die for. The service is also amazing!
