Full disclosure, I originally came here for Alvarado st.s "Contains no juice". Came back for the chicken. Fried chicken sandwich was ok, but the fried chicken part was great. I came back for the wings and they are very solid, I was not disappointed. Onion rings are hard to get right (apparently) and these are good. Fries, also good. I was surprised Seriously the fried chicken is good, one of the better fry jobs Ive had. It bares repeating. Traditional sauce on the wings is perfectly acceptable, so Ill likely try some others on the next visit. Ill probably ask for sauce on the side, because the fry job was so great. This is a testament to the chicken not a knock on the sauce. Order at the front, standard midrange sports bar fare. 10 craft taps, plus half a star for that (4 more are bud light, Coors light, Stella, and Budweiser - so youre safe). It is my understanding that the registers now support substitution, and Ill be back to test this report. Over all this was pretty good, I dont think they sell much of their good beer which means no one know about it. Good beer AND solid chicken? That really doesnt happen in the universe too often. Im going 4.5 Frankly I came just for the beer, and might even come back just for that, but the food is actually really good (in this segment) with TVs aplenty and what seems to be a full line of direct TV subscriptions - This would probably be my top suggestion if what you care about in a sports bar is Beer, Food, and sports. For me its in that order, but the reverse is also true.

I went to check this place out during Monday Night Football. The food was okay (not great but not horrible), the staff was friendly, the place was clean, & multiple TVs so you could watch the game from anywhere. My only criticism about this place is that they do not do tabs. If you plan to go here and watch a full game and have multiple beers & food during the game to have to pay upfront, they just dont give you a grand total when you are ready to leave like all other sport bars.

I remember this place from back when it was Cluck U. More than ten years later, I was thrilled to learn they were back in the same spot and serving the same delicious chicken tenders and the same wonderfully sweet-hot Nuclear sauce. Great hangout spot, and the staff was very friendly and quick with my order. Its really a shame we dont have a place like this in the Seattle region where I live. Also, any comparison to Buffalo Wild Wings would be a terrible insult to the owner.

Whats not to love about this place? Lots of beers on tap and good food. The owner is a funny guy, too bad hes a Chicago Bears fan, thats his only downfall, other than being bald, but dont tell him I said that, hes not aware. Multiple TVs setup along the wall and they have NFL Sunday Ticket which makes it nice and easy to watch just about every game that is currently on.

I love their atomic sauce and they typically do a good job at making sure the wings are crispy, but they can be inconsistent with their cooking of the wings and the size of them. If its your first time there, be sure to ask for samples of the sauces. They also have good fries, which they consistently cook nicely, but the garlic fries arent that tasty.

I have never had a better spicy boneless tenders in my life. The spicy sauces are also the best Ive had in my life at a wing spot. Perfect blend of hot and sweet. Ive never had the wings because the tenders are just so delectable I order them everytime. Be ready to get hot and shwetty if you are going for one of the hot sauces on the upper echelon!

Good wings, good cold beer when you can get it. Been there two different times where some kid under 21 tells me he isnt old enough to pour beer. How can you have a business like that and have a minor taking orders. Oh and then i suggest asking the cooks to come pour and he said they wont want to. Well that was where i turned around and walked out.

Spent $18 on 6 chicken tenders... no sides, no drink... only to get home and realize all 6 were completely raw inside... they went straight in the trash. This place used to be great and has gone downhill over the last few years (prices have done the opposite and skyrocketed). Never again will I waste my money at this place...

Not bad, but not very good. The sauces are way to sweet- even if they are hot. The chicken tenders were fabulous, the cheese fries good and the beer selection was decent. Price is average about 80 cents a wing or so. California needs to get Buffalo Wild Wings. You dont know what you are missing.

Visiting San Jose this was our first stop... We ordered a Parmesana and Garlic wicked chicken sandwiches to go. The chicken tasted old the fries were stale but at least the mozzarella stocks were decent. If I ever come back Ill just eat it at the restaurant just in case they try to gip me again.

Had the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, it was oddly flavorless, the bun was fluff. The fries were ok. I seem to remember them being marginally better when it was Smoke Eaters. Next time I go there for a meet-up I think Ill eat before hand, or try the grilled chicken.

Liked the food. Sauces were a little disappointing. Have eaten here before and remember the sauces being hotter. Got the Atomic and Nuclear sauces, packed no heat. Either was given the wrong sauces or they were a lot milder than I remember.

I went there and got lemon pepper wings I was so disgusted I ended up throwing my food away. There was no lemon pepper on the wings. I was so disappointed. This will be my first and last time eating here.

Was really impressed by the quality of their chicken. Now I need to go back and try the higher end of the sauces as the 5th of the 7 tiers of hot wasnt quite spicy enough.

Definitely separated itself from Smoke Eaters in terms of food and stays a little more true to the old Cluck U menu. Atomic sauce is my absolute favorite

Its a good place to have a beer while youre watching a game. Theyve always got something playing. Theyve always got some good craft beers and IPAs on tap.

i eat at Smokeeaters relatively often, and love the place. I would recommend anything on the menu... but wings are always the best to go with the game!

Great chicken with amazing sauce, and a solid beer selection. Plenty of TVs to catch whatever game youre looking for, and it doesnt get too noisy.

Sooo good everytime! Always get the Atomic strips with ranch on the side, and curly cheese fries with ranch and atomic sauce on the side!
