This place is awesome. You can already tell by the 4.5 star rating but Ill toss my praise into the mix as well. Heres why this place is great: -Awesome customer service. I think I tried (and was encouraged to do so) at least four flavors, and was with four other people who all sampled to their hearts content as well. In one visit I feel like I got a months worth of knowledge about the flavors and textures of their ice cream. Friendly staff serving a great product with a smile - doesnt get better than that. -Cake batter ice cream has some chocolate in it, which is unusual and a very welcome addition to the flavor. Its still vanilla/cake dominant but the occasional chocolate surprise is terrific to go along with the sprinkle crunch. -Ample seating AND a bathroom. Rare for mom and pop ice cream shops and this adds to the experience. -Fresh baked goods always a plus to have with ice cream. Really good snickerdoodle cookie they offered to warm up. Solid. Why isnt it a five star review? Simply put their cone game is lacking. They dont offer waffle cones and the cones they have are just standard by the bulk sugar and cake cones. Unfortunately those types of cones dont lend themselves to stacking multiple flavors without pending disaster so unless you get a single flavor in a child size you kinda have to result to a cup unless you want to melt stress the whole time. That being said the awe lame staff DID offer to put the cone on top of the cream in the cup, and that was the best solution. Regardless waffle cones are a peeps all fav so Ive gotta dock them a little, a true rating would be 4.5. Check this place out!!

DELICIOUS MILKSHAKES... FINALLY! Now that I got my capitalized excitement out there, I will give you more details. For months I have been on a quest to find a delicious ice cream and/or milkshake place in the South Bay. When I saw Mission City Creamery as a "Hot New Business" on yelp, I immediately bookmarked it and knew that I had to give this place a try. Yelp, thanks again for not steering me wrong. Let me start by giving a virtual standing ovation to the employees. They went above and beyond to ensure that we had a delicious first experience. I got to try about 7 different flavors (they make all of their ice cream in house!) and I loved almost all of them. My two favorites were the Salted Caramel and the Chocolate Brownie. I highly recommend either of those if you are looking to get a scoop. For my milkshake, I ended up getting the Chocolate Brownie mixed with the Caramelized Banana. Om nom nom... I still cant believe that I managed to put away the entire thing, but it was too delicious to share. I will 100% be back, and I cannot wait to try some more flavors both in scoop and milkshake variety. My fat cells thank you, Mission City Creamery.

I got the salted caramel, the flavor was good, but the ice cream had crystals in it, the mouth feel was all off and it was also low quality (high air ratio.) I couldnt tell if the problems were due to how the ice cream was spun (thats where all the air comes from) or if the ice cream had gotten too warm and frozen over and over creating big ice crystals, or if the ratio of milk fat was too low. Id normally give it 2 stars after what I tasted, but the people I was with seemed to be enjoying their ice cream and when they tasted mine they were shocked at the quality. Ill go back, but next time Ill ask for a sample before I dive in to a flavor to avoid the same problem I had this last visit. I may update my review at that time. Go and check it out, but taste the ice cream youre getting first.

This is a great place to relax with friends after a meal. For an ice cream place, they have a lot of seats inside. They let you try the flavors before choosing. I ordered a single scoop of honey lavender. The portion was definitely enough for me. I pretty much get honey lavender at any ice cream place that has it, and this one was good but not as good as some others Ive had. The honey flavor overshadowed the lavender a bit.

Visited on a whim, thought would be much bigger. Ice cream flavors were surprisingly out of the norm. I had the seared banana which was super sweet and tasty. First use of Android Pay here so theres that historical moment. Staff was very friendly and let us sample any flavor. Parking was a bit tough but you can park across the street in the mini mall and walk.

For some reason, I love eating ice cream after I eat pizza. Maybe its the sweet balancing the salt. We came here for a scoop after finishing a whole pizza. After many samples (any theyre really nice about it), I decided on birthday cake. It had a good sweetness and a scoop definitely satisfied my craving. Overall, you cant go wrong with ice cream.

Yes! Finally, I have found a desert spot that is gluten free and vegan I highly highly back this place. So many flavors to pick from. The lady helping me was awesome and very helpful and the vibe is just relaxed and kick back. Please come support this place we need more of them around. Ill be back every time Im in Santa Clara.

Excellent service. Price is right. Ice-cream tastes as like what its called, and all are extremely sweet. The ginger peach has a strong taste of ginger. The whiskey vanilla has a strong taste of whiskey. I got the coffee and burnt caramel. Glad I was introduced to this place. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

The ice cream here is phenomenal. I live right near by and must resist getting this every day! The owner makes real hand made ice cream that tastes awesome. Besides just ice cream scoops, you can combine scoops into a milkshake. I like to get the salted caramel and chocolate mixed together.

We love this place!! Great family owned business started by a guy who loves ice cream. The flavors that they have are amazing, some of my favorites are salted caramel, carmelized banana, pumpkin, and peppermint stick. Reasonable prices, high quality ice cream, and wonderful service!!

This is one of my all-time favorite ice cream places. This is a great mom and pop place that hires Santa Clara students and embrace their community. My favorite flavor is coffee but chocolate brownie comes in at a close second. Pro Tip: You can get two flavors in the child size cup.

Very friendly staff. A child scoop starts at 3.75 but it is pretty generous. They have regular flavors asking with some slightly more exciting ones (maple bacon!) Slightly retro interrupt without being too hipster! Toilets and free WiFi.

This is an amazing ice cream store! There is a very friendly atmosphere and the servers are happy to offer suggestions and samples. The ice cream is honestly the best Ive ever tried; try the blueberry one!
