chain korean fried chicken restaurant locates in san mateo downtown, 2nd ave and B street (former tea river) the fried chicken is legit, crispy skin layer and good texture on meat. You can choose from wings, drums and stripes with garlic soy, spicy or half n half flavor. They have bar area and about 7-8 tables inside, no outdoor seating. They offer lunch special which is good for people working nearby. I visited during their soft opening and it seems this is a must try spot in San Mateo for fried chicken lovers.

This place is mainly known for chicken wings (I think), which is why I was avoiding it. I finally stopped in to see they have a few vegetarian options. I have tried the sesame ginger salad and bibimbap, both with tofu. They are both pretty good and they have a pretty tasty sauce for the bibimbap. I also tried the kimchi pancake, which was a bit over fried and not as tasty as most of the ones Ive had at other Korean restaurants.

Good crispy crust almost like caramelized rice crispies. I always get spicy flavor. It is sweet and spicy. Garlic flavor is also delicious. I tried the bi bim bap one time. The bowel was super hot and would not cool down so it ended up taking forever to eat. But it was delicious!

The portions at this place are huge. I always get the small combo and can barely finish it. Their chicken is really good. Been here a few times and their other locations as well, never a disappointment. Their spicy option has a pretty good kick so beware.

Damn good fried chicken! The spicy flavor is actually quite spicy. I like to think I like somewhat spicy food but I would get the sweet sauce next time (we got 50/50 this time). Pickled radishes and the Bi Bim Bap were also really good.

Came here Sunday for lunch. Food was pretty good. Would consider going back. Parking was easy, free street meters. Restaurant wasnt busy. Was seated and served promptly. We took our time and were taken care of.

A bit of a wait on weekend nights to be seated. Chicken takes awhile to arrive too so get some apps and drinks beforehand. Recommend getting 75% soy and 25% spicy wings.

Yes chicken is spicy, but thats about it in terms of upside. Dishes are hastily put together, contain only chicken, what little veggies there were are uncooked
