A-mazing food with different eclectic ingredients. Wonderful service as well. Really nice guy was our server and was super-accommodating. We sat in the patio which was plenty warm despite a brisk evening. The close proximity of the parking lot is a bit off-putting but we did get to see some terrible parking jobs, including the worlds first 14-point turn. The wait was less than we were originally told and they texted us when the table was ready so we sat I the car and listened to weird indie music on Spotify. But these were just small observations compared to the menu and food! We got 3 "sliders" that were almost as large as many restaurant burgers. The lamb one was off the charts good as were the other two. Very fresh ingredients and perfectly-cooked meat. The sides we chose were customized Mac n cheese with gouda and bacon and the sweet potato fries. Both were spot on but the Mac n cheese is small so get one per person because I had to steal my wifes portion when she was in the restroom.(Speaking of, the restroom is in the front door, down the main dining area then down the hall then out the door then down the walkway then into the restroom, giving it a distinct gas-station/rapey kind of feel, but it was clean...) Anyway, the fries were delish and the aioli sauce that comes with was perfect. After all this, the best part was out bill was, wait for it, LESS THAN $30! What? Had to be a mistake! But no, server assured us it was right so we tipped well and scooted before they doubled it. And it would have been worth it. Check this place out, will not disappoint.

Well I keep returning to Taste with different friends, with the same friends and just the two of us. It is always fun and a joy as their are some many choices to mix and match. And for the money it is a very good buy. So many burgers, sandwiches and sliders to choose from, a nice variety of salads to choose from and always a nice soup. The real problem is you can choose 2,3or 4 items and therein is the trouble. What to pick from so many choices. My last pass I had the lentil curry soup, a dirty bird slider and a tri tip slider. Yum it all went down so smoothly and so tastily. The Hummus appetizer was ordered by one of our group and it made him a full on vegan dinner. He was so happy. We not to drone on and on its good. Go there and see for your self. Tips - it can get crowded so we go at 5:30 because by six there can be a line. Tip 2 be sure you have a flashlight app on your phone - it can be a bit dark in some corners. See you there - I know I will be coming back.

You get to have small amounts of several different things. There are lots of different sliders, salads and mac & cheese to pick from. Its neat to try new things but not be invested in a whole meal of that. I really liked that and would come back for it. You can choose to get 2, 3, or 4 items for various prices. They also have dessert. That was lackluster. The creme brulee had way too much sugar on top. After cracking the burnt sugar part, there was a lot more white sugar resting underneath to mess with the overall texture. The cobbler wasnt cooked long enough; the top was still doughy. Their ice cream is made in house but I didnt care for it. I like the art that they display inside. Id come back again. The food was good and the idea is fun. I just wouldnt get dessert next time.

A meal of both hits and misses. We got the Benny and Salmon Sammy sliders, both of which were delicious with great flavor! The garlic fries and dipping sauce were amazing too. Yum But then we ordered the Mac with cheddar and broccoli: a pretty foolproof combo, I thought. It was small, bland, and disappointing. It was weird to me that a teeny cup of Mac is worth the same as a decent sized slider. And finally the "Over 21 Root beer Float" was just awful. The combo of beer, ice cream, caramel, cinnamon, orange, and salt(?) tasted like blood (ew) to me and toothpaste to my boyfriend... I dont recommend it. Overall, I definitely would come back here for the delicious sliders and sides now that I know what not to get.

What a wonderful thing to have come to San Luis Obispo. Taste is a wonderful way to sit chat drink and eat. We take friends there often and enjoy their menu and the unique way to choose several items share them around the table or eat them all yourself whatever you choose. Get there a little early as this place can pack up right around 6. Weve enjoyed every meal weve had there and our friends are now fans as well.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of SLO! They have the best Mac and Cheese I have ever had at a restaurant and their sliders are great too. The staff is extremely friendly and I dont mind waiting even when the wait is 45 minutes because I know it will be worth it. I would recommend going to eat here on a weeknight or get an early dinner on the weekend because of how busy they are on the weekends.

Taste is amazing. Their selections of food are excellent, and they are priced very well. Their options of two, three, or four items makes ordering a combination of exactly what you want, and no more, or less, easy to do. They also have a nice selection of local beer and wine on tap. Definitely worth checked out! They have a more upscale feel, without the price.

Burgers and the Mac and Cheese were great! Skip the fries. Waitress was awesome--friendly and efficient. Only downsides were that the wait was a little long (we went at about noon on a Sunday) and there isnt really much space for a line. Its awkward having the hostess placed outside the doors, but the food was yummy and the atmosphere was quite nice.

I love the concept of trying small amounts of many different things. My husband and I usually go for a trio( 3 items) we each have our own slider and usually a mac and cheese. Never have I been disappointed by trying something new here. I love the new seasonal menu! Its a small place with cozy atmosphere and we always leave happy and full.

Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner, great spot if you dont want to go downtown. They have a different style of menu where you mix and match personal appetizers. Check out the website before stopping by. I have never been disappointed with anything Ive had here, great food, good beer and wine selection and nice atmosphere.

Friendly service, amazing food, good prices! The Russian soup was awesome. It had carnitas type pork meat, cabbage, and carrots in a sweet and sour soup. The sliders are great, so much variety and filling. The garlic fries were amazing as well- thin and slightly crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle.

Everything I have tried here has been DELICIOUS! Sliders, mac and cheese and soups have all been phenomenal and service was friendly too. My office and I had to wait a few minutes during the lunch rush hour as there are not so many tables inside and outside it was raining but it was definitely worth it.
