I generally liked this place. You can get fish and chips with and without batter, but really that means with a little batter or with a lot. My medium sized fish and chips was very generous. I went for battered and my wife for without, but next time I think Id go for without. We had the oysters which where so-so. While they were extremely fresh, the condiments left them a little bland. Without squeezing a fair amount of lemon and putting tabasco on them there wasnt much, and they were still attached to the shells. They come served with a cocktail sauce that wasnt super flavorful. I generally prefer a mignonette or something to add more acidity to them. This is the reason I didnt give this review 5 stars. The crab cocktail was extremely generous, and I made the mistake of ordering it along with sharing a dozen oysters and the fish and chips with my wife. It was way too much food! It was a good cocktail, with a lot of real crab.

Quaint fish and chips restaurant. The service was excellent and most of the food was amazing. The salad was not the best but who goes to a fish restaurant for the salad anyway? The chips were your standard, run of the mill fries but the fish that accompanied it was battered and fried perfectly, as well as reasonably sized. The coconut shrimp was a little pricey for the amount of shrimp you got (5) but was very tasty. Tower of onion rings was also delicious. The waitress was superb, never letting our glasses sit empty for more than a minute or two before returning to refill them. She also had some excellent advice concerning menu choices. While I was initially a bit hesitate to eat here based on a neutral first impression of the appearance of the restaurant, Im glad I decided to take a chance and will definitely be going back for seconds.

My husband and I came here right before heading home. I had the trio with halibut, mahi, and salmon. Everything was alright. Not horible but not spectacular. We came home and went to sleep around 2am I woke up and threw up every 20 minutes for 5 hours.... I had a fever and chills all day. I was nauseous with a bad stomach ache. I couldnt keep anything down. Not even water. And my stomach had lasted for 4 days and it was also extremely sensitive. So yes... this restraunt gave me food poisoning. And I know I got it from them because this was the only place I had eaten at all day. It was a horrible and dreadful experience.

First few times, our servers Maria & Juan were excellent! Great Service. The fish & chips are the best anywhere. No one, not even Splash Café, can top their Clam Chowder in French Bread Bowl, esp. topped w/fresh crab! Last visit, another younger server who was not attentive at all. I had the Lg. Shrimp Cocktail...best yet!!! But, my husband had the Steamed Clams dinner....tasteless & too many empty clam shells for the price. Disappointed in service & the one meal, but will definitely go again. Just make sure Maria or Juan are serving

Me and my family have been coming here for over 8 years and we love the fish and chips and just about everything they sell here. However yesterday was not a good experience if I was rating this on only yesterdays visit they would only have gotten 1 star. The cashier was very rude and unprofessional totally made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted, besides that the food was still good. So to only have 1 bad experience in over 8 years this is a great place.

One of my favorite places to eat when we come to visit my in-laws! They have the best fish and chips I have had in this area. I love the breading they use on the fish . This place is a bit out of the main area but that usually means a shorter wait time. That being said they have been busy each time we have been there. The food is good, the service is good and the atmosphere is comfortable. What more could you ask for while enjoying family time!

Ok so we went because our older children ate here during a beach trip and raved about it .So, on our way back in from road trip we made our way towards pismo, DID NOT DISAPPOINT! so so so so good, Friendly place & great fish n chips! we are discussing taking a drive just to eat there again! keep doing what your doing!

came here yesterday with my family we were recommended by the info tourist center. the service was quick the food was decent but the thing that ruined my whole experience was all the flies I was trying to smack away from my son ,myself and our food. it was so uncomfortable. would not go back again.

Pismo fish and chips is the best on the central coast. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and give great service. I have been going there since it first opened. I have tried other places, but I keep going back to Pismo fish and chips. They have the best clam chowder!

This place was horrible , if you like fish wrapped in a pancake than this is your spot , the bread on the fish was oily and under cooked , the clam chowder tasted like celery and nothing like clam , the staff was friendly but the manger was very rood and inconciderate.

The very best clam chowder, and I have had it in alot of places. Also the fish and chips beats Splash by 100 miles, in taste and service. At at Splash twice, once to try and once because Pismo Fish and Chips was closed. Yuck. ..We drive 4 hours every month to eat here.

Service was fast, food was good, big portions for fish and chips. Fish was real, not processed and had a nice crunchy crust. They have cheap bottled beer, which I liked. Prices were very reasonable compared to many restaurants near the beach.

Yummy! Had squid starter, was very flavorful and tender. Fried fish was exellent, and not the least bit oily. Decor is same as I remember when I was a kid, right down to the peg board game on the table. Ill definitely be coming here again.

Food was cold it didnt taste very well ask for a clam chowder and they give you a celery and carrot soup barely can see the clam chowder in there service was terrible never got a refill and drinks.

Tried the seafood chowder, it was tasty but wont get again. Theres nothing like their clam chowder. Their service was excellent, Latino waiter was awesome. I recommend this place to everybody.

Lots of flies, not sure if its because of the summer. They dont have any beer on tap, everything is in bottles. The fish and chips are good, and its a reasonable price. But I wouldnt come back.

Casual dining. Longer than usual wait with less than half full seating. Good fish and chips. Good seafood and fish sandwiches. Good place to stop for a quick bite. I will visit again.

Juan is an excellent server and always welcomes me. The fish is hot, fresh, and consistently quality . Tartar sauce is made from scratch as cocktail sauce. Excellent Clam Chowder as well.
