Ive never been clubbing in SJ before and I think Ill stick to SF. I dont really know how to describe it, but theres definitely a different vibe. I guess the first sign is that theyll pretty much let anyone wearing anything in. My friend was wearing a tshirt, jeans and sneakers and easily got in. I guess a bonus was that there was no cover. When you go inside, theres a bar on the right and then a space probably as big as my living room as the dance floor. I couldnt find where the lounge part was unless it was the 2 tables near they bar they just call the lounge. The music was all across the board from top 40s to 80s and 90s and some other random mixes. I wish they kept it consistent. It was kind of awkward jumping from genre to genre and it didnt really flow. Drinks were alright. Cups were too small, too many ice cubes and I kept spilling everywhere and everyone kept spilling on me because it was so crowded. Overall, it was alright and there was nothing really special. I probably wont be back soon unless someone drags me there.

My abysmal experience started outside the doors. The door guys wouldnt accept our legitimate, government issued ids and wouldnt even listen to us for 30 seconds as we tried to clarify the situation. We then asked to talk to the manager, who immediately got lippy. One of my friends then said something inappropriate and lightly tapped the managers shoulder (I am in no way condoning his behavior but thats not the point). One of the other door guys then came rushing forward after not even being apart of or in any way in the know of the situation and knocked my friend down. Even after myself and another girl tried to calm the situation several of the guys kept attempting start a fight. The behavior was appalling and not something that would make me feel safe at the club nor what I find appropriate treatment of customers willing to spend money. 0/10 would never recommend. Steer clear of this place.

DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR PHONE STOLEN. Went with a group of 6 girls and five of us had our phones stolen from our purse, while on the dance floor. Theres a legitimate organized group of people who come here just to do this and management knows and they dont care. Just that night 10 other girls we spoke to said theirs got stolen too. Cops know and wont do anything about it either. All the workers there are pretty rude too and its a shame because its actually a nice place.

Temple bar....Somehow I manage to find myself here more than Id like to admit. On the weekends, they play some of the better hip hop and old school jams that ive heard in SJ. Matched with *gasp* Red Dragon drinks, and a couple very talented and gorgeous bartenders makes for a great night every time. OH...and its always free. Cant beat that guys.

Out of state ID denied, had a valid drivers license, former drivers license and military ID. Bouncer showed ID to cops across the street who verified ID, bouncer denied entry because we hurt his pride.
