I liked lag-man and hot&salty milk tea! Lag-man can be better if made a little bit thinner, but in general it was very good! As I used to eat in Kazakhstan. Lamb kebab was very small, I would say tiny 4 skewers were not enough for 1 lady with small volume of stomach. We would definitely come back because of lag-man, but would not order kebabs any more. Would like to try Big plate chicken with noodle and meat pie on our next visit! Parking space for few autos is available to customers for free. Only few tables are inside - this place looks like someones home from Asia, but it is cosy and authentic. I felt myself like I am a guest here. Waiter is not really fluent in english, but she got the idea of what we would like to get. Also we had a chance to see how our dishes were prepared by the chef. Now I want to learn how to pull lag-man by myself. P.S. pay attention that this place is not working from 3pm till 5pm each day and on Tuesday!

Disclaimer to this review: we arrived 2 hours before closing so they were unable to prepare their 2 special dishes, the pilaf and the big plate chicken+noodles. Instead we tried the kebabs, hand pulled noodles, and naan. All the dishes were way more expensive than what the serving size would suggest, with the naan being the most ridiculous (7 dollars for what essentially is a hard bagel). Kebabs were dry and the pulled noodles were nothing to write home about. In addition, extra noodles cost 5 dollars which really peeved my friend from Xinjiang...in her province, extra noodles are free but I understand that isnt possible in america, but still, 5 dollars for extra noodles is a little steep. However, I believe that Omar is the only Xinjiang style restaurant in southern California, so its better than nothing.

Delicious specialized XinJiang Mom and pop shop. Western Northern China style, lamb galore. Kinda like Mongolian type of food. Not really any veggie dishes. Specialized means itll be appreciated by folks that love lamb, and xinjiang food. Boiled lamb, xinjiang style $16.99 is a must for lamb lovers that love simple dishes. Young lamb meat. Meat pie $13.99 super crispy is probably a general public must get. Lag Man (hand-pulled noodles) $13.99. Oily but the taste mixes well. Pricey for 3 ppl but worth it if youre looking for their specific dishes, or yummy lamb dishes.

Big plate chicken with hand pulled noodle is what I came here for. The noodle is flat and super long that covered with the spicy chicken sauce. One plate is good enough for two people. The lamb broth was good. It is tasty to dip the naan into the lamb broth for the flavor. Small restaurant and dont expect too much from the service.

Ive been here two times and both times I loved the food. I got the hot hot hot burger, which actually wasnt too hot despite the name so be aware of that. The philologist steak sandwich was good, as was the skillet fries with Omar Restaurant on top. I would recommend checking this place out after spending a day at universal studios

muslim chinese food. at first youre like...what? then you realize...oh yeah chinas huge. this food comes from western china that shares its borders with many countries that are primarily islamic. lamb skewer and big plate chicken (with that crazy noodle) are definitely must haves.

Small family owned restaurant with a friendly staff. Ive never tried xinjiang style Chinese cuisine before. Make sure to ask the waitress for recommendations. The things she recommended were all fantastic. Will definitely go back with more friends so I can try more dishes!

Different kind of Chinese food most people are used to. Xinjiang cusine means lots of cumin, lamb, no pork, no alcohol. Meat pie, big plate chicken, hand pulled nooddles are a must. So delicious!

Big plate chicken with noodles is one of the best. Service and space leave room for improvement. All in all a small mom and pop restaurant.
