Update to below. Was there yesterday, Oct 17, and had to send the orange chicken back....spoiled meat! Prior message follows: This is a monthly stop for me. My special favorites include the orange chicken (all white meat) and the shrimp lobster sauce. Most offerings come with soup (but the new owners cut out the wonton--dont know why) an egg roll and the entree. Prices and fair and the place looks clean (vents, bathroom, floor, etc.). I did have an issue once when I saw the wait staff wipe the seats then use the same cloth to wipe the table. I let them know and havent seen this unsanitary thing happen again. Ive gone back and will in the future.

Empty and lifeless upon entry. Met not only by the two staff who were obviously surprised to see people, but also by a rather unpleasant aroma. My wife asked for sprite...was given orange juice....then when she asked for a water rather than a top up, the same orangey beaker was used....?!?! I had to ask for a little bit of music to be put on so it felt like we might actually be in a restaurant...which could only be heard if you were as quiet as a church mouse. The food.....bland, tasting like the chow mein was served with gravy and the crispy beef was more akin to pork scratchings. Think we managed to find the worst Chinese in palm springs.

Dont ever eat here! I ordered beef with green pepper and shrimp egg foo young. The beef was red. I expected brown. Did not have a good taste and I threw it away. The egg foo young didnt have any egg foo young. Normally egg foo young is large and thick. It looked like there were small pieces of possibly egg foo young from someone else torn off and thrown into the box. The vegetables in both tasting like theyve been cooking for days and they finally had a chance to gets rid of some of it-to me.

This is so middle of the road. The smell when you walk in is awful but I was with a group and couldnt leave. Also, they are missing half of the things you see in a normal Chinese restaurant.... No general tsao, no skinny rice noodles, no chicken wings, no mixing shrimp and chicken..... Ugh

Working in Palm Springs, got to this restaurant and the Chinese man was very kind and hospitable. But the short haired young girl was very rude, she made my food taste bad. She did not want to serve anyone, she is obviously in the wrong industry. Never go there again!

Have eaten here for years and loved it. Always good, consistent and affordable. Last 2 visits were terrible. Just found out the owner sold the place. The new owners kept the same menu but the quality of the food went way way down. WILL NOT GO BACK.

This is an excellent Chinese Restaurant close to downtown Palm Springs. Food is ample and tasty, service is friendly and fast, prices are reasonable. Not much nearby parking so arrive early in case you need to circle or park some distance away.

Great food! Family style portions. They had no diet coke, just regular coke, sprite, root beer and dr. pepper. You know your at a good Chinese joint when the owners 8 year old child is sweeping the floor and the waitress hardly speaks English.

This is a small, independent and very Good Chinese restaurant. Hard to find in this Valley. We always order online ahead and do takeout, so I cant comment per se on the service. Food is priced right and very good!

We came to this restaurant extremely hungry and received great service and exceptionally good Chinese food which was affordable and very filling. The fact that China King doesnt use MSG is a huge plus.

It is middle of the road Chinese. Great service. Bathrooms not too great. We really enjoyed the soups. Entrees were good but not outstanding and do not come with rice. Economical prices.

Great food - very authentic and fresh... Lounge/eating area and restrooms were very plain. That doesnt even matter when you compare the quality of the food for the price chaged/

Food was not as good as before. Also, online takeout order does not include rice, but if you personally go to order takeout, you get rice. Makes no sense since price is the same!

Mediocre Chinese food at best. And bad service. Even though lunch specials end at 3, the waitress argues it when its only 2:45. Thats just downright bad customer service.

Prices online ARE NOT what they are now, so count on spending at least $20 more than what the online menu says.... tasteless lo mein with very little beef.

The food here is great! The service can use a little help. The ladies speaks very little english so its very hard sometimes to communicate with them.

It was just what i wanted. An americanized Chinese combination lunch. The only thing sub part was the eggroll. Better than Panda Express
