This place was high on my list of wings places to try. To cut to the chase, I havent yet found my wings place, but this will get it done in a pinch. The wings were ok - they were a good size, but they werent as crispy as they could be. The sauce was mostly good in flavor, it could have been a bit more buttery, but it was decently thick on the wings and actually stuck to the wings instead of pooling off into a puddle beneath them. The extra sauce on the side was missing some of the fattiness that improved the sauce once it was on the wings, but the extra sauce was a generous portion, as was the extra blue cheese. The blue cheese was thick and creamy, everything it should be. The carrots and celery were a bit stingy, and next time Ill ask for extra. Overall, better than other wings places Ive been, but the search continues!

A couple of co-workers and I went here for drinks and food, and I would say that this is a pretty great bar! The noise level wasnt too bad, and the bar wasnt packed. I thought finding a table wouldve been difficult, but luckily we found one just near the corner! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which came with fries and let me tell you that this was probably one of the best chicken sandwiches Ive ever had! It was crispy and full of flavor. I was sad I wasnt able to finish it because I was super full. I also had one of their beers that my co-worker got me, but I dont remember what I got. I definitely recommend this place and Id love to come back here again!

Food use to be good. And bar tenders nice. Me and my boyfriend got asked to move 3 times half way our meal. And when we got aggravated with the constants move more the bar tender gave us a nasty attitude. I use to work in this place the first 2 months the food was fresh and great, now the chilly tasted frozen, the corn was soggy and my old personal favorite the chicken sandwich was had a small portion of under cook Chicken with old slaw that had questionable color. As for ordering a drink. All I can say is good luck hopefully you will get a bar tender that doesnt have his friends hanging around, and they actually have time for you.

HiTops is a welcome addition to the Castro. HiTops does a great job infusing the San Francisco culinary and mixology scene with what is still undeniably a neighborhood sports bar. It has great food (try the Ahi tuna burger or fried chicken sandwich) and delicious cocktails while also serving up an easy burger and a beer. The space is well themed and inviting while not feeling at all snooty or gimmicky. If you are in the area and want to catch your favorite sports team on big screen TVs and a friendly atmosphere, you cant beat HiTops.

A trendy gay sports bar located on market street near Castro. A great place to watch a game, or grab a pitcher of beer with friends. The food menu attempts to transform pub/stadium food like wings and burgers into something for the refined pallet, but some things are better left unrefined. Their wings dont meet this Buffalonians qualifications for authentic. Though they are tasty, they are over-engineered and the celery and carrots are needlessly pickled. The Nachos, however, are outstanding, and plentiful enough for two.

Pretty much my favourite casual bar in the Castro. Staff are great. Drinks are great - from beer to cocktails. Crowd is better than most Castro cliquey gay spots. And the food.... God damn the food is amazing. The burgers are better than most restaurants, and the nachos are loaded up in, around, over every chip. The food is so good here that I typically UberEats order it on hangover mornings.... Probably from staying out there til close drinking.

High Tops is a fun neighborhood gay (gastro)pub with decent food. Mondays they have wings for 25cents each! They are way to spicy too eat too many of them, which is likely why they make them so hot. Bartenders are young and attentive and the crowd is there to enjoy the company and the sports on TV, though very few gay men really care about the 49ers baseball team! It isnt like a lot of Castro bars where the patrons simply go to get wasted.

Good beer, good times and plenty of TVs for the average sports fan (and the avid sports fan!). The prices are right, food is actually VERY good for a sports bar and the crowd is always lively. Ive watched so many games here as well as political debates (one of the funniest events Ive been to!). Their nachos are HUGE so get the half plate if you arent that hungry. The chicken kale caesar is yummy as hell. So many options and all so good!

Great 49ers sports bar! Lots of TV. Plenty of light. Its definitely a fun environment. Ordering food was a bit tough in a really packed place. One must go to the back of the restaurant and order. Get a number and they service you at your table. However, you must bus your own table. No table service. Nonetheless, had a great time with my group of friends. Id go again but I make sure I eat prior just in case its packed.

Hi Tops is a great bar. They have a beer special that is $10 all you can drink Bud Light and awesome bar food. I would recommend the nachos, the wings and the corn on the cob. Corn may sound like a weird choice at a bar but they grill it to perfection and cover it with cheese--it is delicious! The pricing overall is very reasonable and the servers are very friendly. It can be crowded at times but its always fun.

I love the atmosphere of this place. Always super fun and chill. Lots of beer to choose from and the mixed drinks are tasty too.... But even better, the food! The Kale Caesar salad is my favorite and I dont even really like caesar salads. The nachos are huge and can feed 4 people (okay unless youre really hungry then maybe only 2 people!) The Ahi Burger is delicious Great food, great drinks, fun atmosphere.

Your bouncers are aggressive and unfriendly. I was told to dump a bottle of water I had in my bag. 20 minutes later he chased me down and accused me of dumping it too close to the door and made me leave. It rains every day and I dont understand why you chase away paying customers. Clearly tell customers what to do if its an issue.Im here every week and had to abandon a food order. 2/28/17

I am a big fan of Hi Tops on Monday nights for 25¢ wings — however when the Giants or Niners are playing the place gets too full to move, let along sit and eat. Theoretically this is a gay sports bar, which is really nice. The crowd can be very, very mixed gay/straight/male/female, so be prepared for screeching. Early in the open time is a great place with a good ambiance.
