I spent 5 weeks this summer travelling the US, from Ohio to the Big Easy, to San Diego through all the major cities in Texas, through Vegas, up to Seattle through Portland following the CA coast, and back to Ohio through Chicago and the Twin Cities. I go to New York regularly. Every where I travel I make sure to try a local pizza in my never ending and delicious quest to find a better pizza. Without question Sicilian Thing is best pizza I have had so far. I was never expecting to find the best pizza in San Diego. I was pleasantly surprised. This pizza is delicious. It puts so many pizza places in NYC to shame, let alone elsewhere. There are certainly some close contenders in the NYC and Giordanos in Chicago is fantastic but ST in SD is better. Its just good. Try it, you will love it. They also had a few good craft beer choices and great specials. This is huge pizza, deep dish and new york style and they are all good. They even have some interesting specialty pizzas. Another really great pizza in San Diego is Bronx Pizza, who also rank in my top 5 best pizzas in America. If you love pizza, youre in good company in SD.

I recently discovered Sicilian style pizza, after visiting one of the best pizza places in New Jersey. I was thrilled to find out about Sicilian Thing! We live about 15 minutes away and weve been looking for good pizza for years now. Most of the places we tried failed to deliver a good quality pie. But Sicilian Thing is the real deal! We went there on Wednesday for the first time, got a pie to go and today we went again. I cant believe this hidden gem has been around for 7 years without us learning about it. Definitely the best pizza in SoCal!

These guys KNOW what they are doing!!! Since moving to San Diego from NYC 2 years ago, I have been searching for better pizza than this crap they call pizza out here. Any real pizza place in New York also has Sicilian pies but here almost nobody has it, and if they do, its embarrassingly bad. Sicilian Things Sicilian pies (thick pizza- square slices) are 100% PERFECT. Thanks to Sicilian Thing, I no longer miss my long time favorite Stromboli Pizza on the corner of 1st Ave. and Saint Marks Place.

By far the best and most authentic New York style pizza place in San Diego. Stop in for a slice, grab a microbrew on tap, and thank the gods youre in San Diego and not Flatbush. Choice of Sicilian and classic pizza styles. They deliver in the neighborhood. They also are nice enough to sponsor a local little league team, and hold annual fundraisers for the San Diego High School music program. Paulie, the owner is good people.

Had pizza here a dozen times. Both round and square crusts are good, I give the nod to the square. Only problem I ever had here was when they undercharged me on a large order. Getting them to take the money they were owed...difficult! Cash-only business, fortunately. Support the cash economy-its cheaper and more honest.

Big fan of this spot. I like pizza and I really like good pizza. This pizza is awesome. Thick and thin crust, great beers on tap and budget friendly specials, especially on tue and thurs where you get a draft and 1 or 2 slices. Awesome. Come and enjoy if you want to take your love of pizza to the next level. Yumtown.

As far as authentic Sicilian pizza goes, this is as close as you can get in San Diego. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, on the menu is absolutely delicious. I wish I had never found this place because I cannot stop going back. I am trying to eat healthier and usually my one cheat meal a week is here.

Simply good pizza. A real good variety of pies and they do it well. Good tasty crusts, the thins and regs are crispy/crusty and the deep dish are airy but not too much. They have local beers on tap and never a huge wait, these peeps hustle. It may or may not blow your socks off but theyre consistent!

I woke up craving Sicilian thing this morning, which is a little odd since I have not eaten here in over 8 years. When I lived in North Park, I frequented this place at least three to four times a week (I had a crush on one of the owners so I probably ate there more than I would have otherwise)

Pizza by the slice! This Jersey boy missed being able to just grab a slice until I found the Sicilian Thing a few years ago. The Barack-oli white pizza is outstanding as are most of their specialty pies like the Almost Lasagna. Oh and they have a few craft beer taps to boot!

The pizza sauce and toppings are sorely lacking in flavor. I have gone back a few times, hoping that I had just caught them on a bad day before, but it hasnt gotten better. Sad, as they are walking distance from my apartment, but there are much better pizza places in town.

Hands down the best pizza in San Diego and they now take credit and debit apparently (they were cash only as long as I can remember). Forget about that other place you heard about on one of those food/travel networks... THIS is a true San Diego culinary treasure.

This is a friendly pizza joint in North Park.... the thin crust wedges are very good, but the thick Sicilian crust pizza is fantastic, as well as unique. Its like the food that your Italian grandma might make..... try it, you will be back for more.

Absolutely love this place. Great variety of single slices! Daily specials with beer. They are a bit on the pricey side for a whole pizza but its definitely not Dominos so its worth it. Only accept cash so be prepared. And parking is terrible!

When I think of pizza, I think of price, dough, and freshness. This place is certainly good but not remotely close to the best. The square pizza is ok but something worth a try if youre a pizza lover. The almost lasagna is their best piece

The Bacon Pineapple pizza gives me life. As do the prices, craft beer on tap and the always fun and exciting energy of the joint and the workers. Whether youre on a budget or looking for an amazing slice theyve got you covered.

Leana (?) was super friendly and helpful. I was their with a friend from NYC who said the cheese slice she had was excellent. Great little hole in the wall local joint. Took off 1 star because there were no gluten free options.

They take credit card now, glory glory hallelujah! Amazing pizza, fair pricing, quick service and really friendly staff makes this a constantly visited point for mid-work snack breaks.

Yes! I love eating here as a treat. My wife and I just like to get a few slices and share them outside. Everyone is friendly, and the atmosphere is pretty mellow.

I found a staple in my pizza. No apologizes made. Regardless, be careful eating there because you may ingest a stable that will cause internal bleeding.

Great lunch specials. If you have not tried Sicilian pizza, you have to stop in and try it. They sell pizza by the slice too.

Their Sicilian style pizzas are great. Thick crust, but not too heavy. Only draw back is its a cash only joint.
