No. Ok? I actually dont enjoy writing bad reviews, believe it or not. But the utter unabashed exploitation of tourists on this corner (by this, and about 7-8 other restaurants) is simply W-R-O-N-G. They take your money, and then give you garbage-in-a-box in return. Its really sad. About 16 or so of my hard-earned dollars LITERALLY thrown in the trash... inedible. I couldnt eat it. Very disappointing, especially after the lady who took my phone-in order guaranteed that "everything is good here". No, its not. Its gross; thats what it is. Ive lived in this neighborhood for almost a year, and this was my first time walking in here. A basic foodie can discern the level of quality immediately (but Id already placed the phone order). The front doors are wide open with a bug-screen to keep bugs out, and all of the windows in the restaurant are open (too cheap to air condition their damn tourist-robbing establishment). Ok? I dont eat sushi, but the sushi bar looked disgusting. And the guy behind the sushi counter... I know that weed is now legal in California... but really? I dont like to always be "so extreme" and leave either 1 or 5 stars, and nothing in between, and I WANT to find something about my experience that warrants a second star. But its not there. Its just not. Im not going to give you 2 stars JUST BECAUSE I didnt get sick. Looking for delicious food? Try (#1) **Che Calavera**, Rubicon Deli or the Mission all down Mission Blvd. about a mile North. But save your money, time and taste buds and avoid this place.

Authentic Japanese??? U have got to be kidding me!!! I am Japanese and that would be a insult to all Japanese people every where!! The utmost disgusting food I have ever eaten!! I wanted to throw up upon leaving! The lady that served us (the Korean lady) was the rudest most impolite lady! All crab is fake crab, the teriyaki was gelatin like and pot stickers have no meat in it at all.. DO NOT let the buy one get one sushi roll fool you!! Its not worth it if it was all free! I have honestly had better so called Japanese food at a Mall in a food court!!

We were staying at the Bahia resort and saw (via yelp) that Mizu was an affordable sushi restaurant within walking distance. This place is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The food was reasonably priced (our dinner for 2 with an appetizer was $20), delicious, and came out very quickly. Service was very thorough, and our waitress brought out fresh watermelon with the fortune cookies at the end. I highly recommend this place!

I wouldnt spend my sushi money here. My husband and I came here after a happy sunny day at the beach, around early 2013. The sushi was All sloppy and small. Was very empty inside. Only one customer besides us (a older man). the waitress was a Older very nice Asian lady. My husband complained to the really nice waitress about the food. We got a good discount. Hope they got a new chef by now.

Had my doubts only because the place looks like it needs a complete rebuild from one of those reality shows. People are warm and welcoming and the sushi is fresh and well presented. We had had a long day and were looking for a place to have a light dinner before we flew out for home the next morning and this hit the spot. Pretty view but building needs an overhaul

There was a large variety of choices on this menu; no matter how picky the customer is, they can find something. My mum and I tried kimchi, the Korean-style pancake, and that was deliciously different. My udon soup was perfect, and I would recommend it to anyone in the mood for something other than sushi (though Id bet thats amazing as well).

Great waitress, very nice. We walked in and it seemed like no one was there so we just decided to seat ourselves. Then the nice waitress got us drinks and took our order. She was entertaining and prompt. The food was great. We just got a couple of rolls and gyoza. They came out quickly and were yummy.

Came in hoping for a refreshing suprise from reading the other reviews. This place lacked delicious sushi. I was disappointed. Too pricey for bland food. No creativity or explosive flavors that wow the senses. I wont come back. The service was just okay. Not busy at all at noon on friday.

DONT EAT HERE. Sushi here was bad ,and the tofu soup they serve with is terrible i looked at my spoon and it didnt look washed. I actually seen a fish tank in the back of the dining room and had to take a look , no fish just some brown stuff growing. It was really gross and unsanitary.

A simple Japanese restaurant with amazing food! Was skeptical at first because we were the only customers and it looked dark inside. Im glad we took the risk, the food was excellent. The waitress was funny and always made sure we were taken care of. Prices were reasonable too.

Great date restaurant. Beautiful view from every angle. Good service and great food with an affordable price. Charming at sunset too. Korean BBQ so delicious. Desserts were awesome, sushi very consistent and delicious. Try the red caterpillar roll for a sweet surprise.

Amazing service! We ordered to go and the hostess made sure our order was 100% perfect, even threw in some extra fortune cookies and fruit! The sushi was pretty good and the location is unbeatable if youre staying on Mission Beach and are looking for Sushi.

Great little place with excellent service and great sushi. The caterpillar roll is fantastic and the staff does and excellent job of making you feel welcome. Sitting on the west side of the restaurant during the day offers a great beach view.

Worst service I have ever experienced. 30 minutes after asking for the wine menu and watching two other tables that were seated after our party receive their drink orders, I walked out. Terrible! Dont waste your time or money.

Since the day they opened Ive been a fan. My son came with us at 2 weeks old bc I could finally eat sushi again. Hes turning 15 now. My 9 yr old daughter is also a fan. This place is amazing and I truly think of them as family!!

Just had a Blue Fin Tuna Salad, great spice and absolutly decadent. Followed with Yellowtail Jalepeno Roll, stuffed with tuna and perfectly spiced. Finishing with more Blue Fin sashimi...heavenly!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE. I eat sushi on a regular basis. My meal today was hard to choke down. It also gave my mother and I horrendous diarrhea. Pretty sure they recycle oranges that they serve at the end.

Ive been going to Mizu for 15 years and have never been disappointed. The service is good, the food is delicious and the owner is the sweetest lady, the atmosphere is great. I love this place.
