I really enjoyed this place but noticed improper food handling techniques from one particular server. We spoke with management and requested that we not receive service from her. This request was granted with no issues, in fact, they gave us free food and drinks and thanked us for our feedback. Two Fridays ago, I ordered delivery from Kanda. They stated 20 minutes, at one hour I called and received much confusion on their end. The lady who took my order asked if I had called Uber Express? No, I had called Kanda, directly. The order arrived thirty minutes later. The entree ordered medium was under mild, and sweet, with no hint of any spice. The entree ordered mild was ultra spicy. The hot appetizer was cold and soggy. I walked it all back the next day, shared my concerns, they refunded my check except for the delivery tip, which I only gave because I use to successfully do this job and it isnt always the delivery guys fault. Not going to be returning here tho. Bummer.

Sorry Kanda, when I went here for restaurant week, I was not impressed at all. Apparently other people arent too impressed either because there were only two tables seated when I went in on a Sunday, during restaurant week, around 1 pm, usually a bad sign. This place seems to have spent all its money on appearance, and not on the food, so if you are going for a nice atmosphere, maybe come here, but I rate the food. Im hoping the normal portions are better, but for a restaurant week deal, Im expecting for them to try and impress new customer so they come back. What I got was a tiny portion of very Americanized Thai food. Flavor wasnt there, and I would have been starving if I hadnt just eaten a big breakfast 2 hours before. Next year Kanda, if you are participating in Restaurant week, take a lesson and actually give people a good deal, because that will be a lot of peoples first and possibly only impression of you.

Worst experience ever! They took my order and told me it would be delivered within 45 minutes to an hour....on a Monday night? Like ok, I get it, but then I called because it had been longer and they said the driver would be there in 5 minutes....10 minutes later I call again and they put me on hold and make some sort of excuse about the driver not being owned by the company. Im pissed, and hungry, I dont care whos driving the food, all I want to know is where it is and will I get. Bottom line is that you cant have the customer calling and asking multiple times wondering or not the order they PAID FOR is going to be honored. Theres so many other great places with awesome customer service, dont even waste your time with this place.

My first time in kanda and I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was modern and stylish without being stark and uninviting, nor was it trying to be traditionally decorated as is the norm with most Thai restaurants. Our server was fantastic, she was very polite and very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. The food when it arrived was simply delicious, not only in taste, but pleasing to the eye as well. the dishes were a perfect blend of herbs and spices that left the pallate and taste buds wanting more. Even though the portions were quite large it is very easy to crave more of this fabulous food. highly recommended.

A quiet place to grab some tasty noodles and other Thai inspired entrees and appetizers. The dishes seem to be Americanized a bit, there wasnt as much lemon grass or spice in the Pad Thai as I am accustomed to. The introduction of cilantro is another interesting twist to their dishes that I dont believe is authentic. The Thai tea is always on point, and prices are fair for the portion size.

The Green Curry is some of the best Ive ever eaten. Their brown rice is fantastic. We LOVE spicy, and theyre not afraid to take it a notch above. The 10 was TOO spicy for me (and thats saying something) on the pad thai, but a 7-8 has tons of kick. If you order "medium spicy" youll still like the taste and feel the heat. They deliver, their staff is first rate. Highly recommended!

I used to come here years ago when it was Thai Time restaurant. New owner has done a great job remodeling to upscale atmosphere which is nice. Food is excellent and they still do a nice lunch special. Service is friendly.

Nice and quiet. The servers were prompt, and got our order perfectly. Food was slightly smaller than Im used to getting at other places, but then, I think most places serve a bit too much, so for me it was just right.

Not the best not the worse in San Diego for spicy noodles. Little bland in taste. Didnt get utensils on my order. For $10.72 they could have put a little more more basil on the dish.

Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, very aromatic, and AUTHENTIC! Highly suggest going dinner time for more food options otherwise order takeout for lunch for more options.
