I have eaten in thousands of Chinese restaurants all over the world. From the hole-in-wall types to ones on the tallest buildings of the earth, I have experienced them all. This one is by far the worst I ever had the misfortune to waste my time and $ with. I find it very difficult to write about place, there are so many things that are wrong with it and I could not pick the one to start. When I walked into the place, this smell greeted me. It is not your typical old-age smell, it is a smell of gross negligent and insanitary conditions - it remained my the cockroaches swarming around the dead bodies waiting to be cremated on the banks of the Kanji river. From a grumpy waitress, I ordered the house specialty "the roasted duck" and few Cantonese dishes. When the duck came out, I almost fell off my chair. It was black with dark oil dripping from its body. Anyone who had tried authentic Chinese roasted duck ought to know that a good roasted duck should be golden brown with beautiful glaze. I realized later that the restaurant must had prepared/bought the roasted duck a while ago (like two weeks probably) and stored it in freezer. When I ordered it, they took it out from the freezer and deep fried it. The black oil dripping from the duck was the telltale sign of this practice. Since restaurants like this probably reuse their oil in the frying pot for up to one year, the oil is highly carcinogenic according to my doctor friends in NIH/NIC. The little appetite I left after seeing the duck was completely blown away when the server brought other Cantonese dished I ordered. One of the dishes I ordered is a standard dish in Cantonese cuisine (pan sauteed rice noodle) . It was simple yet challenging to make it right. I always use it as yardstick to judge if the chef knows what he/she is doing. The stuff they brought to me had no resemblance with the dish that I have eaten innumerate times. Instead they invented a new state of matter: a bowl of gooey watery mass of unknown/unhealthy atoms. I complained to the waitress and she hurriedly brought me a jar of soy sauce hoping I could "wash" the stuff down with it. Guess what, the soy sauce they used is that kind that was made chemically and cheaply. One of the ingredients in the chemically made soy sauces is human hair! It is full of carcinogens as well. I felt very bad for people who ate there without knowing what they put into their mouths. I only hope this review will serve as wake-up call for both the customers and the restaurant.

My experience at Jasmine Seafood Restaurant was absolutely HORRIBLE. We first waited for over 1/2 and hour to be seated, yet there was an entire ROW of seats over to the left side of the dining room. After a unimaginable period of time, we were finally seated. Then, we waited for our waiter to come over. It took an incredibly long time, and then after we ordered our beverages, we had to wait even longer. Waiting for our dishes was the longest wait yet, though. After a long time, a dish of shrimp came over. The shrimp was extremely undercooked and was very soft, and we asked for it to be recooked. We were halfway through our meal when we got the shrimp back, and it was severely over fried. It tasted like it was thrown into a deep-frier and covered with salt. The shrimp was very salty. Then, we had some shrimp buns, which must have been only 1 inch in diameter, and there were only four of them. Remarkably, those tiny buns cost $6.99, nearly $7.00! Then, there were other complaints all around the table for very low flavor and too much salt. We were finally given the bill after multiple attempts to get the waiters attention. A few dishes, less than 6, added up to over $85! And we also spent over 2 and half hours there! Needless to say, we will not go to this restaurant again.

Disgusting!!! What is wrong with all these reviewers...Hold on , let me barf real quick...Bleh, blah, bleh Ok, back to review. The service first off was weird , its a waiter with the creep voice , like he was in a play...Oh, no wait ! He leaves then another person comes and helps us and takes our order...Wait, then someone else comes and takes our order again. The food was gross! We only ordered appetizer Dim Sum plates (thank God). Tea was lukewarm and the dim sum was flavorless and the wings we ordered were drenched in syrup to the point you couldnt even taste the meat. The same person that was serving us was dragging out, yes dragging out the trash while we are through the restaurant ( seriously) and a cook was moaning and growing soon loud in the back of the kitchen that the wait staff ran back to see what was going on. Oh yeah, and no carts with dim sum that come around. We finished our time there and went across the parking lot to Dumpling Inn for the rest of our meal...Much better food and great drinks.

We had a late lunch today at Jasmine. We ordered lettuce wraps and a spicy shrimp and scallop dish. When the lettuce wraps came out, the waitress proceeded to place the sauce in each of the lettuce pieces and then place about 80% of the chicken into the lettuce, she then placed each plate in front of us and I asked as she was leaving with the cart, could you please leave the rest of the chicken and the sauce. After asking three times, she reluctantly gave me the sauce and the rest of the chicken, yet she hovered over me until I finished scraping off the rest. We asked for rice, but she forgot it and we had to ask the busboy for it because the waitress never returned. Needless to say, she was a real Bi*%# and she was poorly tipped for her lack of service. I have enjoyed dim sum on several occasions here but never have I had such an unfriendly waitress that cares so little about whom pays her check.

on the two occasions ive been here they have overcharged me for an extra dish that we did not order (about $10) both times. the first time i thought it was an honest mistake and let it go. the second time, i called them on it and they became very defensive and the waiter went around the restaurant asking the cart ladies if they overcharged (as if someone is going to own up to it). i noticed that with some customers they actually calculate the bill at the table. with others, like my family, they calculate at the register. i believe that they target individuals who are not regulars, or may not be familiar with the dim sum experience to overcharge and make a pure porfit. the food is okay nothing spectacular. needless to say i will not patronize this place again. rude service i can stand, dishonesty i cant.

Delicious dim sum, the Pokémon of Asian food. As carts of various appetizer sized treats, entrees & deserts roll by youll feel like youve gotta catch em all & with Jasmine Seafood Restaurants selection youll have to come back several times to try everything. Ever see a desert tray go by and wish you could try all the desserts? Well now you can! The place is called Jasmine Seafood Restaurant but dont worry, most of their food is not seafood, but they do have a few lobster dishes and some of your favorites ingeniously infused with a shrimp upgrade. Expect adventurous options like chicken feet, less adventurous dishes you never tried before like coconut mango stuffed egg bread & lots of old favorites.
