2.5-3 stars. A standard sandwich joint with your typical run-of-the-mill basic bread and meats. There is absolutely nothing amazing about this place, except for the price, which everyone raves about. But for 50 cents or $1 more...you can find so-sooo much better in this neighborhood. Location is clutch- right in the middle of hustle/bustle Hillcrest and free parking. Itll look like you are walking into someones house, but no, its a sandwich shop. Beware of the extensive sandwich menu, the employees will gladly tell you whats popular, but theyre all pretty much the same. Very very quick service, and lots of patio seating overlooking 5th Ave. The bread is soft, maybe a little too chewy. Soup is extra hot, a bit too salty. Definitely not enough meat given its price point. My advice to you? Head over to T-Deli for your sandwich fix for similar pricing and way better bang for your buck!

This sandwich shop is tucked away in the near-heart of Hillcrest and they make consistently tasty sandwiches. The staff is super friendly, and I believe its a real deal Mom and Pop shop. Ive hardly had to wait for my food and it tastes like something I would make at home. Im a vegetarian, so Ive only had the two veggie options, both of which were delicious. No gimmicks. No cut corners. Its just good honest food prepared well at a good price. My only suggestion is for more veggie options or a way to make a custom sandwich.

The sandwiches were extremely attractive in appearance and wonderful in their taste. I dont care for using a Styrofoam for drink glasses. My wife thought that The French dip dipper was too salty for our taste. Carlos was very nice guy and got us just what we wanted and allowed us to custom ordered our sandwiches. UPDATE; Before I could finish eating the Pastrami Sandwich I ordered, I began suffering anaphylactic shock. Fortunately, it was mild and my Wife gave me some Allegra, which calmed the symptoms.

Ive been here a few times, and its never impressed me. The sandwiches are cheap, but...theyre cheap. A little too cheap, for me. They arent bad, they arent awful...theyre just OK. Be prepared to get a $4 sandwich, and you might like this place more. Go in hoping for a good sandwich, and youll probably be a little disappointed.

I stumbled in here last week and had the best sandwich Ive had in months, their BLT+Avocado. The bread was amazing, and the staff very friendly in making sure the sandwich was prepared to my liking. And dont miss the patio seating!
